I stayed in this cute little town of Exeter during my trip to sequoia and kings canyon national parks. It was closed on Friday - Sunday due to renovations, so I was pretty bummed out that I didn't get a chance to stop by this coffee joint until Monday before heading back home, better late than never :P Vibe & atmosphere were welcoming with bohemian and modern themed decors. The furnitures were carefully selected to match the room as well as the curated plants, fake & real lol. They also sell handmade candles, "smokey the Bear" prevent wildfires shirts and cute "MUPS" - Mugs + Cups. The baristas were so sweet and friendly; they recommended me the right amount of espresso shots & sweetener for my Americano. My coffee was smooth, caliente and filling. Woke me up just in time for brunch! I cannot wait to return here to try the other blends on the menu & explore more of this town. We were in town to go to the park and wanted to get our fix (IYKYK), before we started our day. This is basically the only coffee shop in the town, but luckily, we really enjoyed it. The staff were really friendly and even offered some advice on where to shop for souvenirs. They have some quick bite options too. The ambiance is very chill and cozy. People there seem to be so relaxed and in no rush to do anything. That's the vice we love Overall we'd go back there if we're ever back in Exeter. It was a short trip, wish we'd have more time to linger and enjoy the place. read more

I really wanted to like this place--the staff were super friendly, and I appreciate that a lot. However, as someone who's passionate about coffee and has tried cafés all over the world, this just didn't hit the mark for me. I've been into matcha lately, but unfortunately, the one I had here tasted more like Play-Doh than anything else. I let them know it wasn't to my liking and gave it another shot by ordering an iced mocha which they charged me for too, but that one didn't impressed me either. I understand this is a small-town coffee shop, and I respect the effort--but the quality just isn't there. Honestly, the coffee reminded me of something you might get at a gas station, but with higher prices. There's definitely room to grow, and I hope they're able to refine their drinks over time, because the service and friendliness are already there. read more

We were on a trip to sequoia and of course we needed coffee so we headed to the first coffee place we saw in the town... and let me tell you it did not disappoint. The interior is really nice and if you need to sit down and do some work it's the perfect place. The baristas were all really nice and made amazing coffee. I got the caramel macchiato with half and half and I have to say it is one of the best coffee that I have tasted in a while. Stopped by here on our way to Sequioa national forest and very glad we did. I had a matcha latte with coconut milk. It was delicious, probably one of the best I've had recently. My boyfriend had a vanilla latte and he loved that the coffee flavor was strong and it wasn't too sweet. The owner gave advice on how to order the drinks and glad we listened to her! i had came to this coffee shop probably two times before to study and relax, and the third time was my final visit solely because of the managers/owners poor attitude. i came in one morning to grab a drink for myself and i wanted to surprise my mom with one too, so i decided to ask the owner who was working the register at the time for some help. i thought my mom would like one of the flavored teas, but i wasn't sure which one to pick. all i asked the owner was which tea she'd recommend or liked off the menu, and she literally said straight to my face "i don't know, i'm not your mom." not in a joking way (even if it was a joke, it still would've been incredibly rude) or anything, just in a monotone, snarky way. i had to process what she said for a couple of seconds because i was so shocked at the way she spoke to me like that, and she was just staring at me like i was an idiot for even asking her that in the first place. i work at a coffee shop myself, and i couldn't imagine telling a customer that to their face just for asking for help or for a simple recommendation. it's a shame because the rest of the baristas seemed very nice and friendly when i spoke to them and asked for help before, and it's a nice little spot to sit down at, but the owner just completely ruined my experience and made me not want to come back again. read more

This place was exactly what we needed to highlight our day taking mural pictures in Exeter! My daughter and I went on a whim and we enjoyed our coffee experience so much that despite being an hour in the wrong direction we had to come back a day later. Their caramel macchiato was out of this world. Ordered an iced americano with a pump of pistachio syrup and a splash of oat milk and it was one of the best coffee drinks I've ever had. Everyone here was very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was lovely and inviting. And my mother, who was with me, said her coffee was great. What I am dinging them for, however, is their tea. I paid several dollars for a large black tea. And what I got was just a bag of Lipton black tea. Something that probably costs 10 cents. I was at least expecting a slightly higher quality/cost tea bag than the most run of the mill tea you can find. It was cold outside so the tea warmed me up. But I just still can't get over that markup. So, if you're coming here for coffee, you're apparently in for a good cup. But, if you're looking for tea, maybe don't come here. read more

I got an iced vanilla latte. The staff were nice and friendly walking in, good vibes and nice atmosphere with open lighting and comfy seats. The place did have an interesting smell but nothing bad. I don't like super sweet coffees I prefer the coffee flavor so the right amount of syrup for me but personally didn't love the coffee flavor itself but that's okay that's just me being picky although I would pick this place over Starbucks any day but everyone has their own taste. Lefts start with the Drinks! Today, we ordered one strawberry smoothie, Carmel Frappuccino, iced Americano and they were they amazing. Strawberry smoothie: this was so perfectly blended in between sweet and tart and a little bit of tang. I really enjoyed it and so did my six-year-old. Carmel Frappuccino: very well blended and mixed. The caramel is of quality and you don't have a leftover syrupy taste in your mouth! Iced Americano: nicely mixed, even give me a pump of vanilla that really didn't take away from the coffee taste. Their espresso was tasteful and I really enjoyed it. Half the time you have a burnt espresso taste so it was nice to have a great pulled shot. Location & style: I don't even think I need to explain how adorable this places. Although, they aren't allowed to have people come into their location due to the size and COVID-19 protocols, they still definitely keep the vibe with their outdoor seating, cute flower boxes and the sliding glass windows to serve from. Wow.. usually when you find a downtown coffee shop that isn't a Starbucks you think they'll bring something unique to the table.. not this time unfortunately. The spot was small but the interior had that rustic/hipster feel so "pretty cool." The menu was your "just the basics" kind of menu which is good.. if you make your drinks very well.. right from the start as you watch the shots cascade down you notice the first problem.. the shots were waaaaayyyy Too light! Espresso shouldn't be that light in color. Being "this guy" as a formal barista and manager of a coffee shop I know when a shot looks weak and these were the exact kind of shot you don't want in your drinks. I hadn't noticed this until the gentleman behind us ordered his latte and the I believe to be the "owner" was making his drink. I'd say if you're looking for a good latte or any hometown coffee shop.. don't come here Update: Hi Staci!!! Thank you for your feedback.. yeah we should've had that talk but you seemed pretty occupied with your friend/customer. Hmm.. about the shots last time I checked shouldn't it be around 18 to 23 seconds for the shot not 24 to 26? That seems pretty long! A staple in Exeter. This coffee shop is consistent, clean, friendly and accommodating. I couldn't ask for a better place to stop on my way to work to get a small cup of coffee for a couple bucks.
