Shout out to the gentleman that worked last night (9/26/21)!!! Your customer service is impeccable!!! Super understanding, really nice, and very open. I went a group of 5 and all of us were just throwing questions at him and he was great!!! Definitely want to come back just to hang out with this guy again. We loved our visit! This aside this is so much fun!! I've done maybe a dozen escape rooms and none of them can compare to an experience like this. If you're into escape rooms you have to try this at least once or twice. It's actually like being in a different world and everything feels so real. The heights part actually terrified me. It was definitely a lot of fun! I loved this place. We all did. I couldn't look down I was so scared. Can't wait to come back to this place!

This place was such a FUN experience!!! The owner is so nice and friendly!!! She is extremely thorough in explaining how to get started for beginners!! We had an amazing time!! VR is a really really cool experience! We were on two different sides of the room but still enjoying the game together!! It takes team work to win and I would say this is a really cool bonding experience or team building exercise!! I 100% recommend giving this place a try!! We will definitely be back!!!

I've been wanting to try out a virtual reality game for awhile now. On Friday night my boyfriend and I decided we were in the mood for a date night adventure. I came across ExitusVR on Yelp and went to their website to book. After scrolling through their library of games, we decided on House of Fear. Pricing is $33 per person for escape room experiences. They have individual game experience too but I'm not sure if there is a different pricing for those or not. Booking was super easy and convenient. They have their own private parking lot and it was easy to find. The staff member helping us out was also very kind and helpful. I really enjoyed the experience. I will say it's kind of hard to fight the urge to actually move around but once you get the hang of it, it's easy to navigate. I will say my boyfriend and I suck at finding and decoding clues so we got plenty of hints from staff. Although we were super close to escaping, we didn't finish the game in the 1 hour timeframe we had. Overall, I definitely am excited to visit again. I would recommend the experience to everyone!!

When we first got to this place we were a little surprised, it is a lot smaller that pictured. This place is awesome we did two escape rooms in one day because we love it so much, the lady that works is very nice!! I would recommend this place to anyone who wants an affordable VR experience. Overall things are generally great priced super nice atmosphere, everyone that works here is super nice and it is air conditioned. Should you come here? Yes I will admit things are a little under priced but it is really good. This place is amazing in conclusion!!

Adventure and fun awaits you inside!

Do not let the outside look fool you. What awaits you inside will blow your mind. It's like in a sci-fi movie where the character opens the door, goes inside a quaint looking place, then gets transported to a whole new dimension! ExitusVR is the only virtual reality escape room in the Houston, TX area. There are three scenarios to choose from for group play. The venue also has virtual reality multiplayer games to choose from, and also single player games. They only use the best VR equipment currently on the market (HTC Vive, Oculus Rift), and high end gaming machines to power those VR headsets. Rates are affordable, but then again there is no other place like it, so it's hard to compare prices. Since the escape room and VR games may take awhile, customers come in by appointments only. What makes ExitusVR stand out is their exceptional customer service. Since virtual reality is sometimes a hard concept to explain, the owners and their employees do a great job walking you through the process and answering any questions. Did I mention this place is all women owned and employed. Great for equality in the workplace. Stop by if you get the chance. It will be worth it!

We actually worked together enough to escape with 20 seconds to spare! !!!

There's free parking in the garage (upper level), which made things easy. When we walked in, we were greeted right away and got checked in while waiting for our time slot. The waiting area was clean and had some photo opportunity spots. Our game master, Brianna, came over and gave us a quick rundown since it was my first time, which I really appreciated. As soon as we entered the room, I noticed how clean and well-organized everything was. The props were also well taken care of, making this whole experience super immersive. Brianna was really helpful and gave us hints at the right moments whenever we got stuck. There were multiple layers to the puzzles, which made it more exciting and less predictable. It truly kept us engaged the entire time. It ended up being such a great escape room experience for me, and even my friends who have done others said this one stood out. Definitely worth checking out if you're looking for something fun to do with friends!

The OK experience was within the Escape rooms itself. Very mediocre experience and not very immersive. The game we selected just didnt make us feel like we traveled to a foreign place. Clues were not hidden away tactfully. Some clues were just thrown on the floor. When you solved a puzzle, there was an unlocking sound on the speaker which is not very helpful with knowing what items unlocked - Took away from the immersive part. Some of the sensors weren't even working so we were lost on what was supposed to happen next. Had to tell our game master a couple of times. Things were falling apart as well. Even with all the time lost on malfunctioning pieces, we beat it with a lot of time to spare so not very challenging.

Finding it was kind of like a mini-escape room in itself! You go through an entrance that kind of looks like a hotel building ish. You'll still be outside and inside an elevator Theme: you'll figure out what happened to houdini. And right from the get go (when you do find the actual place), it feels incredibly immersive In terms of difficulty, this one one of the more easier ones. I went with 3 other people who have never done an escape room before, and we all succeeded. Some challenging puzzles but nothing you can't figure out with some trial and error This feels a little more on the pricier side ($64/person), but you semi-interact with the "staff" (where most escape rooms they leave you alone). Once there, the escape room is a wonderful way to spend a hot summer afternoon in the cool a/c and out of the Houston heat! There's a clean and bright minimalistic waiting area with clever quirky riddles, bird pics and signs on the walls. (Sidenote: the bathroom is a time portal so be careful). When the escape room event begins Madame Daphne comes out to greet your group and leads you to her tarot reading room where she does readings for about 2 people after handing each person a liability waiver that's kept in their own personalized box, each disguised as a book she pulls from her bookshelf. You crumble your waiver up and throw it in the birdcage with her co-worker Sir Walter, who is in charge of the forms. Each person puts their belongings away for safekeeping in Madame Daphne's wardrobe. It's recommended to put your cellphone away but you are allowed to keep it in case you feel you might need your flashlight. That is the only reason you are to use your cell phone once inside. When everyone's items are stored away and after going over the rules, Madame Daphne leads you into her seance parlor. She uses your group's help to channel the ghosts of Harry Houdini and strange things begin to occur as Houdini confirms he's in the room with you. He demands that Madame Daphne leave and you and your group are then left to solve various clues to free his ghost and yourselves from the escape room. The sound and visual effects, realistic props and stellar acting by the individuals who portray Madame Daphne and the ghost of Harry Houdini make this a truly immersive experience. It's easy to see why this escape room has been ranked as the best one in the country.

For our experience, we were divided into teams of 4 and worked our way through 4 or so different game rooms with different challenges. One room had lasers crisscrossing the room and we had to make our way through the increasingly harder patterns to reach the other side without hitting a beam. Another room had sensors on the floor that tracked where we were standing and told us to move to certain spots in the room at a faster and faster pace. Another room had dozens of small screens with instructions for dials and knobs on other screens, so you had to work together to convey info to get everything accomplished. Once you're done with all the challenge rooms, your score is the time you have to Beat the Bomb. They dress you up in plastic suits and throw you into a final challenge room where you have to steer a tank as a team through a maze and hit all the targets before the countdown runs out. If you don't get it done in time, you get blasted with paint. We beat the bomb but still opted for the pain blast for the fun of it. If you're looking for a team building event, or have a fun group that like a competitive challenge, this is a great option. If you're thinking of a kid's birthday, make sure they can read confidently since almost all instructions are in text, otherwise would be perfect for that as well.
