A group of 5 of my friends did the escape room themed: Exodus, based around an Egyptian exhibit in a museum We had no one else in the room with us so it was fun to be able to work together to find all the clues. I highly recommend doing it that way versus doing it with other people that you don't know. It's easier to work together to find clues to get out There was one unique clue that kinda scared us a little but it made for a more fun experience! We didn't realize the difficulty levels before booking the room which in hindsight would've helped us choose which theme would have been better suited for us. Exodus is the easiest, The Hounds is second, Masquerade is the hardest. The host was very casual that we didn't know when the game had started and when she was actually being serious about what was a clue and what wasn't, though I guess it was all part of the game, so pay attention! Regardless, we had a great time and got out of the room in 40 minutes!! I love escape rooms and would definitely do a different room!

I'm in NY for Christmas with my in-laws and wanted to do something fun. We went to this escape room and I'm sooooo glad we did. Haval was the first person we met and he took care of us the entire night. It was 5 of us in the Exodus room and only 2 of us have experienced an escape room. Fast forward to the good part! WE ESCAPED THE ROOM!!!!!! (The crowd goes wild...in my head lol). I have had my fair share of escape rooms and have never escaped. It finally feels good to get out with 9 minutes to spare. Would we go back? Absolutely! We had a great time. Thank you Haval for the outstanding customer service.

This room was amazing!! We had a Groomsman party and know the creator of the room so we thought we would give it a try. The room was nicely decorated when we showed up and you couldn't even see the many clues we eventually found. There were several different kinds of clues that we had to solve. One by one we solved them and made it out of the room with time to spare. I highly recommend Exodus Escape Room if you are looking for a fun activity for an hour. Lots of fun and it makes you think. Get a small group together and try it out!!

Played two rooms here. The first one we did is "Exodus". It is a pretty easy room for experienced players, but still a good room. The second one we played is "Masquerade". This one is a hard one. The puzzles in this room are pretty well designed. Overall, great staff and great experience.

What a fun thing to do on a Saturday night! Something different was what we all needed to stray away from the usual restaurant outings. We arrived late unfortunately (due to oversleeping our nap) but the staff was so kind and welcoming. We chose "The Hounds of Baskerville." We were given clear instructions on the goal and also what wasn't necessary to do in order to reach that goal. There were so many steps but we were glad because for our group of eight, there was plenty for each person to do. When we got stuck, the clues the staff gave to us via a monitor in the room were extremely helpful. We are definitely doing this again as soon as our schedules allow for it. Keep up the good work!

    We did it!

We had a really great experience at 59:59! We decided to try out the Hounds of Baskerville room on a Saturday night. The booking process was super easy, and once we got there we started right on time. One thing to note though is that this is a 10 people room, and so we paired up with another group of six. This actually turned out to be quite fun, so don't worry about it being uncomfortable or anything! The room itself was great. The clues were challenging, but definitely not impossible. There was a small story plot as well, which I loved. In case you get stuck, the staff will send out clues in riddle forms. We had a lot of lucky guesses, and Richard walked us through again. Overall, this was a great experience, and I'd recommend 59:59 for everyone! We want to try out the darker themed room next time.

I've now done three room escapes. 59:59 wasn't the best, but it certainly wasn't the worst. It was smack dab in the middle. Did the Hounds/Sherlock/Detective room for a large group (it can accommodate up to 10), and there was definitely enough things to keep everyone busy, even though it was a bit all over the place (spoiler alert: there was even a secondary room). The puzzles themselves were alright, but it was hard to find a logic for putting a lot of them together. Luckily, there was this big brother-esque TV screen in the corner that would give us clues based on what they heard us saying. Other than that, it was a fun time. Be sure to come with a large group, because they'll put you with randos if there are smaller groups.

The hall to a cool adventure!

Ask the Community - Exodus Escape Room

Can the puzzle(s) be completed by just two people? Or rather will this place be fun for two people instead of a group? Am trying to bring a date here.

Lots of fake blood, creepy clowns, and even some jump scares built in. Definitely use your brain and think outside the box!! The puzzles were really unique. The only feedback I have is some of the puzzles were a bit wonky probably because a lot of people have been touching them so there are things that should be tuned up or fixed. Trying not to spoil so I'll try to be as vague as I can while giving feedback. So there's one puzzle where you have to smell things but everything smelled like the same rotten/rancid smell so my team members and I content differentiate the scents and had to randomly guess instead of actually solving the puzzle. There's another puzzle where you have to turn something but it was wonky from wear and tear and the tracks on them were worn down. Paul was our game master, and did a great job. He also said this room was the hardest one and the scariest one out of them all.

The commitment to the theme is impressive and consistent throughout. Some of the clues are definitely challenging and occasionally a bit unclear, but the overall atmosphere and storytelling make up for it. I've done both the Haunted Hotel and the Jail rooms, and both delivered a memorable, immersive experience.

The guys working here are very friendly and entertaining, and seem to care a lot about guests having fun and asked us for feedback near the end as well. Parts of the rooms do seem a bit dated, and there were certain puzzles that did not make much sense to us even after we solved them. That being said, I think overall they were well thought out and enjoyable to work through. I'm still not sure which room I enjoyed more. I think the laboratory had more interesting puzzles to me, and the penitentiary had a lot of moving parts/puzzles that made it a bit confusing in terms of chronology, but that's a part of the fun of a lot of escape rooms. I would come again if I'm in the area, and look forward to future improvements under the new ownership.

The escape rooms here at OMEscape are very fun, challenging, and a unique activity for a night out. You get 70 minutes to try to escape, and are able to ask for hints if you get stuck. This is one of the more intricate escape rooms that I have done, with unique puzzles that you probably have never seen before. Matt is very funny and plays a good character, and definitely makes the escape room experience way more enjoyable. The price is very worth it as you get 70 mins to escape, while most other rooms I've seen only give 60. There are multiple different rooms to try, so I know if I come back I will get an entirely new experience. Looking forward to coming back here when in NYC!

I enjoyed our experience with The Witch's Curse. Everything made sense, and many of the puzzles tied into the theme. Like their other rooms, I like that they use a variety of puzzles, not just locks everywhere. Overall, I still stand by my previous review that I think their rooms could be more challenging. However, I would highly recommend Exit to beginners. I like that you can book a private experience, and the pricing is one of the more affordable in the city. The price decreases the more people you have, but a group of 4 is perfect for Exit because the rooms are on the smaller side, and the puzzles are not that complex.

Sadly, this one was in my own backyard, and probably one of the most disappointing experiences we ever had together. Let me get something important out of the way. Fyi, we did the room for Guardians of Gotham. When they said that there would be no padlocks, I was somewhat happy. However, that meant way too many number codes and that sucked even more.
