    Poor bandaging.
    April E.

I do not recommend this vet for avian services. We took our conure in to have treatment done on a broken leg. The vet said she needed to take extra x-rays so that she could line up the bone and that they had to sedate the Bird before doing the x-rays all of which cost a ton of money which is fine but then once we were done, they did such a shotty job wrapping her leg and never aligned the bone....they said it was just too hard. When we got home from her treatment, the bandage was already falling off and did not last five days when we took her back today they said that the bandage wasn't holding up and that they needed to take more x-rays and sedate her again so that they could wrap the leg ...even though they acknowledged that they did a bad job the first time, and it was their fault that the bandage fell off. I will post a picture of it and it will be of the same day that the treatment was administered, even though they acknowledged that they did a poor job on the leg bandage... They were only going to give me 10% off of future work done even though the future work that needed to be done was their fault and it was going to be another $500 on top of what I already paid the first time to have it done. So I requested them just to wrap the leg because I already knew that they weren't going to align the bone and they refused. They wouldn't wrap the leg again unless I took x-rays and we already knew the outcome of it because it had been one week of her healing with the bone already not being aligned. We showed her pictures of other avian services with the leg bandage did not take up like her whole body and asked them why they didn't do a better job and she said she didn't know ...she was not helpful. She was not apologetic that they did a very bad job and then expected me to pay an enormous amount of money to fix their errors.. I do not recommend this vet. If you have birds, I would take them to the Culver City hospital for avian services because they actually know what they're doing and do a good job. also, when I took my burden, it was very clear. She had a broken leg and they took the Bird out, put her on the table, and of course she flew away and landed on the floor, which I thought was bad at the doctor to let her do that and then the doctor leaned over and grabbed her really hard hard and hurt her even more as she was yelping from pain from the doctor grabbing her so hard I thought an even vet would be smarter than to do something like this!!!

Pray for Alibaster (Albert) He is 20yrs old and is not doing well. If God decides to take him, he lived the best life a snake could live
    Ryan F.

They have such a kind and caring staff. The doctors explained everything that is going on with your child (my snakes name is Alibaster). Even though Alibaster is currently on his last days , the doctor and staff were still optimistic he might beat his infection. It meant alot to me knowing other people cared about my . The office is also very clean and they have plenty of staff so the wait wasn't long.

    Our beardie all puffed up

One year ago we brought our 3 week old bearded dragon to this vet, we spent over two hours there answering all their questions and getting all the information a new beardie owner needs. I felt the process took WAY longer than necessary but the people seemed very nice and educated. We took our beardie back for her one year check up and were there for over three hours this time. The doctor said there was a possibility of yellow fungus so they did a full blood panel and took a culture of her scales to send in for testing. They gave us three medications and instructions, with the assumption that the possibility was concrete. Three days later the vet called me with the blood panel results and made a few recommendations but said we would not be making any decisions until the culture came back. So I called them three times over the next two weeks to follow up. The first two times I called I was told the test results were not back yet, the third time I called I was told the culture never made it to the testing facility. So my bearded dragon was one three medications for two weeks for a disease that was not even officially diagnosed. I was livid. They had four opportunities to catch the missing sample. I spoke to four people at this office before someone realized my $395 sample was lost. Over those two weeks our dragon had stopped eating and showed signs of discomfort, all of which was dismissed because we were waiting for test results that were never going to come. And if I hadn't been the annoying pet owner and called their office multiple times, nobody will ever know how long it would have taken them to figure out their mistake. I regret the five hours and almost $2000 given to this place. To top it all off, I had to request a reimbursement for the $395 missing sample twice before they processed it AND they were rude. We now go to South Pasadena animal hospital and Dr. Eng is pretty great.

    healthy chinchilla after Dr help

Dr Marc Silpa is the best. very straight up and caring toward animals. prices a little steep but seems expected when owning an "exotic animal". brought in my chinchilla and the Dr was able to help and prescribe the right treatment while letting me know all health concerns. I'd recommend and would definitely go back. saved my little guys life!

Bennie and Clair, the bunny rabbits
    Sasha S.

Dr Kanfer and staff have saved my rabbits for years. Our bunny, Bennie, has terrible teeth and they have gone above and beyond caring for him and our other fur babies. Kanfer is a rabbit dental expert and if you have exotic teeth issues, don't walk-- RUN to see her. She truly cares and takes time to explain what's going on. After surgeries, she took Bennie home with her for overnight TLC. Seriously, who does that?!?! Only these people. Truly incredible. Also: she successfully did an emergency blood transfusion and found a donor for our bunny. Thank you, EAVC, from the bottom of our hearts

She not only welcomed us in with open arms, but she made sure that we and my dog, Mojo, were comfortable before she began. She was calm, caring, and genuine throughout the entire appointment and really explained all our options and what she was doing thoroughly. She started with gently feeling his body and assessing it, quickly noticing that his spine was probably causing him some pain. We moved onto acupuncture, where she explained all the points that she was doing and how it would benefit him. She also had some treats readily available to distract him as the needles were going in! After about 7-9 minutes, you can visibly see Mojo just... relax. Completely calm. Not squirming or fidgeting. It was honestly like magic. She was able to do cold laser therapy while the needles were in and then she whipped out KT tape.. Which I didn't even know you could do on animals! As she taped his spine, she gave us instructions on how to help him up the stairs and to lower his pain in his hind legs. She also suggested that we start cooking his meals as well with turkey and some sweet potato. After she taped him up, we carried him out to the car where he immediately took a little nap. While we were in the car, she came out with a lot of medicine for him to take for his nausea, alongside some inflammatory medicine and Chinese herbs. Within a few hours of taking the Cerenia that she gave us, he was able to keep food down (which hadn't happened for about 4 days before this, he was throwing up everything he ate). Not only that, he was able to sleep without any disturbance and seemed incredibly relaxed. Dr. Bertolone treated us with kindness and genuinely cared for him. We will always be indebted and appreciative to her and cannot express the amount of gratitude we have for her. She is undoubtedly one of the best veterinarians that we've ever encountered.

I found two hands four paws as it was on a list of physical therapy locations from my veternian. I am 100 percent confident that two hands four paws allowed my stella to have a more mobile and comfortable life for almost two years longer. Some of her symptoms were dragging her back legs, struggling to squat to pee and slow to stand up/sit down. We started off with just physical therapy, so doing the water treadmill and the obstacles. We put her on fish oil and other supplements that were recommended. I will admit that physical therapy is expensive, no matter the location. So there were times where we had to pause for a few months, and we could absolutely see a difference when we didn't take her consistently. After about a year, stella started to have fecal incontinence, and so we transitioned to acupuncture in which they suggested Chinese herb supplements. The combination of both definitely helped the fecal incontinence which was great! Unfortunately we began to experience a decline in her health (pee incontinence more frequently, her inability to move as well and be as lively) so we recently decided it was best to have her cross the rainbow bridge. The staff were amazing after sharing the news, and they send a card signed by all of the staff and an early picture of my girl in the water treadmill. Unfortunately, our experience left a very poor & unprofessional first impression. AFTER ALL WE ARE PAYING FOR A SERVICE!! Upon arrival, we encountered a sign at the front desk that was extremely condescending and immediately gave the impression of a business more interested in enforcing rules than treating patients with respect. There is a 10-minute grace period that is not clearly communicated beforehand, and if you are even slightly late, the clinic threatens to cancel your appointment and charge a late fee. We were only about five minutes late due to a long line and parking delays, yet we were told our appointment was canceled and a late fee would be applied. The staff at the front desk were dismissive and RUDE AF!!!! , particularly one woman who seemed to enjoy asserting power over patients. She even hung up abruptly on a caller saying, "I'll call you back, I'm busy." When we requested to speak to the manager, the response was only slightly better, still condescending, and we were reprimanded for explaining the situation. It felt very much like being treated as children rather than valued clients. For a clinic that presumably cares for animals, this lack of empathy, patience, and basic courtesy was courtesy was shocking. If you're treating your HIGH PAYING CLIENTS THIS BAD!? HOW ARE YOU TREATING OUR BELOVED ANIMALS? YIKES. The behavior at the front desk, combined with the aggressive sign, makes it very difficult to feel comfortable or welcome. We hope the owners and doctor are made aware of this, as staff attitude can seriously affect a clinic's reputation and patient loyalty. We are reconsidering whether to continue using this clinic and strongly encourage owners particularly more than poor management to retrain front desk staff on professionalism and compassion. Patients who spend significant amounts on pet care deserve to be treated with respect and understanding (especially during their first visit) Once this behavior is put on social platforms such as Yelp, Google. Even tik tok you will suffer greatly by allowing your front desk to abuse your clientele? What an absolute embarrassment. Take your disgusting signs down before you go viral.
