Our sweet Koba during happier, healthier days. We miss him more than words can say.

From the day we had to say goodbye to our beloved Koba until the day I received his ashes, Honor Pet showed our family an extraordinary amount of compassion and care. On the day of Koba's euthanasia, my husband's schedule changed and he really wanted to be there to say goodbye. Honor Pet kindly accommodated us and adjusted the appointment time that same day so that he could be there with Koba. I will always be grateful for that. Dr. Angie and Dr. Christy (I sincerely apologize if I have either name wrong) came to our home and were incredibly understanding, gentle, kind, and caring. Nothing felt rushed. They gave our family all the time we needed to sit with Koba, hold him, love him, and tell him goodbye. We were able to tell him how much we loved him and be together with him until the end. As heartbreaking as that day was, they helped make Koba's passing peaceful and surrounded by the people who loved him. Last week, I picked up Koba's ashes. Even then, the compassion continued. The young woman who brought Koba's ashes to me was so gentle and caring, and the way she treated that moment meant more to me than she probably realizes. I also received a warm handwritten card from Dr. Angie, who helped Koba pass. I wasn't expecting it, and it touched me deeply. It made me feel that Koba wasn't simply another patient or appointment to them. Honor Pet's care also doesn't end after saying goodbye. They offer grief support group sessions for people dealing with the loss of a beloved pet, and I will be attending one this Wednesday. I really appreciate that they understand how profound this kind of loss can be and continue to support families afterward. Koba was part of our family for more than ten years, and losing him has been incredibly painful. There is no way to make saying goodbye to someone you love easy, but Honor Pet made one of the hardest days of our lives peaceful, dignified, and filled with compassion. Their service exceeded my expectations from beginning to end. I will never forget the kindness they showed Koba or our family, and I am deeply grateful to everyone at Honor Pet who helped us through this experience.

My visit to Honor Pet was a sad one, but their team was very comforting during this time. While I was only there to pick up my keepsake, they offered me a beverage and even a private room to have some time to myself to grieve and/or celebrate life. The space was calming & inviting. I ordered my keepsakes online, which was a very easy process. Honor Pet also offers free support groups, which is such a thoughtful option for us fur-parents going through tough times.

Honor Pet was presented to us via Access Animal Hospital at a time where everything was raw, uncertain but knowing we only wanted the best for our girl, Daisy. From the time she was placed into their care, they were stellar. We received an email to make a selection within a day, though I has not ready to face, but with the kindly worded compassionate email I was able to. We also received update emails along the way until it was time to bring her home. When we went to Honor Pet to bring her home we were pleasantly surprised to see how comforting the space was, and the staff was so kind and compassionate. Giving us the option of taking our time, and if we wanted to go into a separate room to receive her, should we want. When we received our girl, she was presented in a beautiful and compassionate box. It was more than I expected in a very comforting way. Her memorial item wrapped in beautiful tissue respectfully placed in the box with care, and a beeswax candle in a pouch worded "light a candle think of me in your heart I'll always be" which made me cry. It was such a touching gesture. I feel they really understood how truly hard it is to lose your family member and what a difficult time it is. I have so much comfort in knowing I have our girl's remains not mixed with another's. I didn't know what to expect; Daisy was my first dog, but I can't say enough how much having had Honor Pet, looking back on it all, made such a hard time more comforting and helped ease, even if a bit, into a transition I didn't expect to happen so quickly. I feel very blessed to have found them.

It's hard to put into words the amount of gratitude we have for Dr. Scott and the integrity and care of Honor Pet. We had been given a few recommendations for in home end of life services, but everyone we connected with didn't quite fit. We stumbled upon Honor Pet, and feel IMMENSELY lucky to have done so. Our dog Guy was 18.5 years old and started to transition naturally. My husband and I decided on a Saturday to have someone come on the next day (Sunday) to come help our boy go, if he hadn't done so on his own. Dr. Scott was the most warm, patient, loving, respectful, honoring person we could ever imagine. From the moment he walked in, his energy matched both the pain AND the holy reverence for this beautiful transition of our soulfriend, Guy.My husband and I are fairly ritualistic, so we set up an outdoor space for Guy surrounded with flowers and pictures and incense, and played him a song on repeat to help carry him out. Dr. Scott felt like he was a gentle part of that ceremony. He blended in with so much love.He slowed US down. He handled Guy with so much care, both in the injections (which he hid the needle doing- so classy), and in moving Guy's body. Honor Care is... exceptional. The water cremation made me feel 1000x better about cremation as someone who would've preferred to bury our boy if we didn't rent. We went with individual cremation, but I am touched how the owner of Honor Pet scatters the remains of those family members who were communally cremated back to the land once a week in reverence. The communication is exceptional. The care is next level (free grief services... I mean... that's everything).I have told everyone that this is for sure who they should have when that heartbreaking time comes.Thank you- truly- from the bottom of our hearts. Sam, Tony, & Guy

Honor Pet provided compassionate, professional care after the loss of my beloved 17-year-old cat, Manuelita. They offer an eco-friendly aquamation (water cremation) process and a wide selection of thoughtful and meaningful pet memorial keepsakes. Their communication was excellent through text, phone, and email, and their facility was peaceful, clean, calm, and respectful. I highly recommend Honor Pet's dignified and gentle services to anyone making difficult end of life care decisions for their loved pet. I'm extremely grateful that Honor Pet went above and beyond in helping us during a difficult time for our family.

I was totally caught off guard (in the best way possible) when I saw my sweet Zoey's nose print. I was not expecting it. It made me burst into tears but I am thankful that I'll have her nose print with me until I join her in the after life. They also gave their sweetest condolences, provided resources for grieving and memorabilia to honor her. Thank you guys

It's such a heartbreaking tender time when we have to say goodbye to our fur babies. Lexi was so much more than a kitty to me. I truly appreciated the sensitivity from the Honor Pet Team and how simple and easy they made the process. The wooden box with the brass silhouette of a cat on top was more beautiful in person than on the website and the perfect size. The box and all the little extras that they put in there were very much appreciated and very kind. I would definitely recommend them when the time comes for your fur baby.

It took me a while to write this, but I couldn't thank Honor Pet more for helping me through the toughest decision I have ever had to make. Dr. Scott is truly a godsend. I couldn't recommend Honor Pet more for how courteous, gentle, and timely they were through the entire process. I couldn't thank them more if I could. I highly suggest Honor Pet if you want an understanding team to help you through the difficult decision of saying goodbye to your beloved dog or cat. They are quite frankly the best price point to meet your needs, and they offer free counseling after to talk to others that are going through something similar.

We were okay paying so much in order to have his final moments be comfortable at home rather than on a cold clinic table, but we had a pretty awful experience. When witnessing this service in the past from other practitioners, a sedative was given to the dog prior to the lethal injection via IV. For our appointment however, the vet explained that a sedative comes before the lethal injection, but instead of setting up an IV for that, she abruptly stuck him in the back with a needle. He began yelping and crying out in pain and frantically running all over our home VERY distressed. It was at this time that the vet informed us it was likely burning and itching inside of him, despite not warning us about that. I went to grab him and bring him back to the couch so I could hold him and she did the same thing again, causing the same reaction. By the time I got ahold of him and brought him back to the couch again to hold him in my arms he was so sedated he was basically already gone. Completely limp and comatose. I tried my best to position him on my lap on the couch while she did the lethal injection, but at that point he was pretty much gone. So his last moments were spent in pain, burning and itching, crying and confused, and running to find somewhere to hide. It did not feel humane and did not bring us any sort of peace about the already impossible decision. We are both heartbroken because he was truly so innocent and sweet and we went out of our way to try to ensure his final moments were filled with peace and dignity like he deserved, but instead we watched him pass in a state of fear and terror. I'm still a bit in shock over how it all went down, but I wanted to share this feedback for anyone considering going the same route. Respectfully, I would look elsewhere.

The last thing you want when your fur baby is suffering is to reach voicemail after voicemail. Hearing a compassionate human voice on the other end of the phone brought me so much comfort. She came to my home first thing the next morning. I was worried about my younger Golden Retriever jumping on her or interfering with her care, but she was absolutely wonderful with both of my dogs. She encouraged him to stay in the room with us once he was comfortable with her, and I truly believe that helped him understand what was happening. She was incredibly professional, but I'll never forget one small moment. Out of the corner of my eye, while I was saying my final words and paying my last tributes to my girl, I saw her quietly wiping tears from her eyes. As a healthcare provider myself, I know how often we're expected to wear a mask and stay composed. Seeing that genuine emotion didn't make her seem less professional, it reassured me that she truly cared. In those final moments, your mind races. You question whether you're making the right decision. Seeing her emotion gave me peace because I knew she wasn't simply going through the motions. I knew that if she believed my girl wasn't ready, she would have told me. Most of us are fortunate enough to experience this kind of heartbreak only a few times in our lives. She carries families through it over and over again. That takes an incredible amount of compassion. Thank you for your kindness, your empathy, and for helping my sweet Lilo leave this world peacefully and with dignity. Please take care of yourself, too. I hope that you are reading reviews of IVS Mobile Vets for any reason other than why I sought their services. But if that time has come, when your beloved pet can no longer continue pain-free and without complications, you are told you have options. Someone told me to "drop him off at a shelter" and "start the grieving process". Others said to take him to a vet and have him euthanized at the clinic. Cost being a factor, I was mortified at the prospect of having to consider either of the above options. Abandoning a family member to die alone and wonder why? Who can do that? I came very close to having to consider that option; that is until I found IVS Mobile Vets. Encouraged by glowing reviews, I called to inquire about end-of-life care services and pricing. Dr. Moore answered my call, and even before we could get to details, she solemnly and compassionately listened to me go on and on about my little Donnie, and validated my immense grief over what was to come. Moreover, despite prices for everything everywhere being at an all-time high, Dr. Moore quoted me at-home euthanasia and private cremation for almost $200 LESS than the next lowest quote that I obtained... and I had called over a dozen vets and organizations. Donnie went to sleep on February 15, at about 1pm. In the comfort and safety of his own home, while lying in the bed that we shared for over 13 years, he drifted peacefully, and I held him until his frail little body started to cool, I don't know if it was a 1/2 hour or 1/2 a day, but Dr. Moore left us alone and gave me the time I needed for closure. Dr. Moore was gentle, patient, and truly compassionate. Despite it being the most heartbreaking day of my life, the occasion was peaceful and life-affirming, and I will mourn and cherish that memory for the rest of whatever's left of my own life. Every corner of my home is a mine field of Donnie memories, and I can't envision a day when I could come home and not long to see his little face in the upstairs window, waiting for me to open the door. But, I am forever comforted to know that I did right by my little guy, loving and caressing him to the very end. Donnie's ashes were delivered to me in person about a week later, with a heartfelt card, dignified packaging, and supplemental literature on grieving.
