I went out to purchase a bird play stand for the quaker I originally purchased in April. Well they had this super cuddly turquoise boy and once I held him and he snuggled up right away it was all over. They gave me great pricing and helped pick out oh I don't know 400.00 in toys! They have so many toys to choose from! All in all great place! I love my boys!

    Green cheek cuddling in hair

I'm so glad I listened to their suggestion on which bird to get. I was going to get a pineapple conure but one of their team members told me they had a favorite which was a regular colored green cheek conure. He arrived and immediately made himself at home! He plays, cuddles, and follows me around like we've known each other for years! He is extremely quiet and well mannered. This is the second bird I've purchased from them. The first was a cockatiel I picked at random who is not cuddly at all but as a bird lover I adore her and her hilarious antics and raspy singing voice. Still, I can see how she would not be a great family bird so definitely ask for suggestions when purchasing a bird because they know each one's personality! They will match you with the perfect bird.

We got our Mexican Amazon from these guys and they've been nothing but helpful. They answered every question we had and were very understanding, as well as patient with us. Really recommend getting an awesome bird from them or just stopping by :)

So extremely upset about my dogs haircut. Please do not bring your dogs here!!! She looks awfull

Please do not waste your money here. I was told by the groomer herself she had 20 years experience grooming dogs. My dogs both look terrible. Uneven cutting, missed long hairs, didn't trim there nails after I asked her too. Just awful please don't waste your time or money.

I purchased my Eclectus almost a year ago and I would never buy a bird anywhere else! Sal and his wonderful staff spent a lot of time informing me about my new parrot. I was able to visit my baby bird while he was still being hand fed. They even took the time to show me how to hand feed my baby bird when I would visit, to help us with bonding. My end result was a parrot who was very socialized and had no problems acclimating to his new home and bonding with my entire family. The great customer service hasn't stopped there. To this day, the staff continues to help me with any concerns or questions I may have about my parrot. There responses are always immediate and helpful. If you're looking for a store that has a great selection of parrots, toys, perches, food, cages, and friendly and knowledgeable staff this is the place to go to!

I thought we had a positive experience. I was given private number to call. never abused that privilege.until I had a bird that needed emergency care. she recommended going to college for better care. she was not available. on the way I was recommended to go to go fund me for money to pay for vet visit I was overwhelmed by the generosity of people to help me pay for vet visit. There was talk along the way to vet. people asking why my vet sent me to college. also there was talk of sending money to my vet for care. so my vet name was mentioned. some people had negative thingsto say about my vet . I defended my vet. an ex employee of vet was on that chat. she was telling my vet I had negative things to say about them. I defendEd them. that was not mentioned to my vet. Anyway, because of conversation, I was banned from that practice. I was devastated that after so .many years. she dropped me without even talking to me about what happened. I was shocked. I think her techs need to stay out of situations. it's been almost 10 years since this happened. still she holds a grudge and yes I do now too, because she didn't have the trust in me to talk it out. for all the years she provided excellent care. it took one incident to end it.

However, they called me when they had a cancellation to see if I wanted to come in. They looked at our sweet 16yo cat and gave us the options. Neither were good and I knew the right decision was to let him go. Everyone we encountered was so compassionate and supportive. They let us take as long as we needed. I know the experience was much easier because they made sure it was. I was afraid to see the bill, but it was more than reasonable. They treated my cat with dignity and respect. I appreciate this vet team very much. I would recommend without hesitation. Thank you, Ark!

PET OWNERS -- PLEASE READ BEFORE TAKING YOUR PET HERE @highlight…read more I am making this post because I feel that other pet owners have a right to know about my family's recent experience with ARK Veterinary Hospital & Urgent Care, 35 Finn Rd, Henrietta, NY 14467. This is my personal experience and I am sharing it so other pet owners can make informed decisions. My dog had been extremely sick for approximately a week. He had stopped eating, was repeatedly vomiting yellow and green foul-smelling material, was barely passing stool, was straining to defecate, becoming increasingly lethargic, and was experiencing abdominal sensitivity. He also has a known history of ingesting foreign objects such as toys, cloth and rubber. My father brought him to ARK at approximately 8:30 AM on Friday, shortly after they opened. Their listed hours indicated that they were open beginning at 8 AM to 8 PM. Despite the seriousness of his symptoms, we were told that sedation was not possible and that they were closing early. We were also told that my dog was not compliant with getting onto the examination table. As someone who knows my dog extremely well, I strongly disagree with that characterization. He is a very well-behaved dog, and I do not believe his behavior should have prevented the veterinary team from taking his condition seriously or considering every reasonable option available to properly evaluate him. He may be a big dog but he is a very good boy if anything they should have had myself or my dad go back to comfort him. Any cane corso owner knows they don't like being away from their owners but other than that my Rajah knows how to act in a veterinary setting. What concerns me even more is that their own medical records document the severity of his symptoms, including: * Approximately one week of decreased appetite/anorexia * Inability to keep food down * Frequent yellow green, foul-smelling vomiting * Minimal defecation and straining * Decreased urination * Progressive lethargy * Increased abdominal sensitivity * A documented history of ingesting foreign objects With those symptoms together, I believe a possible intestinal obstruction should have been taken extremely seriously and appropriately investigated. Instead, my understanding is that my dog was prescribed medication and sent home. He continued to suffer. I have photographs documenting what has been coming from my dog, copies of his veterinary records, receipts, communications, and a recording from my conversation with the veterinary practice when I requested his records. I am now documenting everything and looking into my legal options regarding the care my dog received. I am not encouraging anyone to harass the veterinarians or staff, and I am not claiming that a court has determined anyone was negligent. I am sharing my experience and the facts documented in my dog's records because I personally feel that my dog's condition was not taken seriously enough. As of right now, based on my experience, I would NOT recommend ARK Veterinary Hospital & Urgent Care to other pet owners. If you have an animal experiencing serious symptoms, please advocate for them. Ask questions. Ask what diagnostic options are available. Ask why something isn't being done. Get copies of the medical records. And if you don't feel comfortable with the answers you're receiving, get a second opinion. Our animals cannot speak for themselves. We have to speak for them. If you are assigned Dr. Alexandra Yiambilis, a first year vet resident, ask for another resident vet or to speak with the Attending vet. After reading other reviews, they push euthanasia without trying other options. Alexandra Yiambilis (who I do not consider a vet doctor or a human being) lied to me and to the team taking care of my sweet cat and pushed for euthanasia on the phone even before I met her. When I first spoke with her on the phone and asked how my cat was doing and if her diarrhea was better, she barked back, "I don't care about your cat's diarrhea." I should have known something was wrong with her then and that she didn't care about my sweet cat or me. She had an agenda from the beginning and lied to achieve it. I saw no other vet doctors besides Alexandra Yiambilis and she just graduated from vet school. She was cold, cruel, and lacked any empathy. She mentioned she puts all her animals down when the time comes. She could have not been more than 25-26 years old. I mourn every day since my sweet cat's passing. My sweet girl was sick with lymphoma. I did not care about the money. Alexandra Yiambilis mentioned in her cruel tone, "No one else is going to help you" and "I'm not going to do anything else for your cat." Alexandra Yiambilis said I was wasting resources on my cat and the first time I met her (she never introduced herself), she wanted to quantify ever bit of treatment given (e.g., "A blood transfusion would be waste of resources for your cat."). She was talking about my beloved cat. She didn't realize IV fluids could affect a red blood cell count and diagnosed a seizure that never happened. I know everyone has to learn in a profession, but unfortunately Alexandra Yiambilis is allowed to run unchecked with her cruelty, condescension, and poor diagnostic skills. I am saddened that my sweet cat was taken from me by this cruel individual Alexandra Yiambilis. Alexandra Yiambilis obviously went into the wrong profession. Pursuing treatment would have not killed my cat because she was a strong girl. Lack of proper treatment and care and compassion killed my cat. Nothing can take back the cruelty given to my cat and me by Alexandra Yiambilis. And nothing will bring her back.

When I reached out to the store, they failed to take responsibility. Despite there being a veterinary clinic on-site, Ace was never examined or given care. I requested an incident report, and though I was told I'd receive a call back, no one followed up. I eventually received a refund, but that doesn't undo the pain and stress this caused Ace. This isn't about money -- it's about accountability, animal safety, and trust. Grooming should never result in injuries, and every pet deserves to be treated with care and compassion. I'm sharing this so other pet parents know to inspect their pets immediately after grooming and demand proper documentation if something goes wrong.
