A friend of mine comes here regularly and loves the salon, wish I had. I had a new staff member who never said hello to me and gave me an annoyed look when I said I wanted clear polish. I have 2 cuticles that are irritated from bleeding, and there still is dirt underneath under 5 of my nails. I clearly have arthritis in my fingers (larger knuckles) and when she was painting my nails she squeezed my fingers, I winced, and she just kept going. Never asked if I was ok. The salon was clean but definitely smells of nail salon chemicals. Doors were open to allow air flow but better ventilation is needed. I won't be back. read more

I asked if they accepted walk-ins and they said yes. What they really meant is that they accept walk-ins only if the job is simple. I made very clear what I wanted, matte hyper-realistic extensions, and I was ignored by two different technicians. So I made clear what I DIDN'T want instead, which was pink nails, and suggested a brown color, as I felt I was inconveniencing them with my original request. They nodded towards the range of brown colors I suggested before giving me a range of pink to choose from. I told them again AS THEY WERE PAINTING THE PINK ON. I was ignored. I was the only black woman there. I felt highly disrespected and disregarded. They also insinuated that my husband (a white blond) was only a friend and when I corrected them, she said "oh" before immediately turning to speak Vietnamese to other technicians and they laughed. For some odd reason they also charge you for a disposable nail file separately and tell you to keep it with you if you don't want to keep buying it every time you go there. There's four other nail salons in this area. Save yourself the trouble. read more

I went in for an acrylic nail removal, hoping for something not painful and not damaging to my nails. The lady literally just ripped off my nails using a plastic nail tip, a nail clipper, a cuticle trimmer, and her own nails. They did not care to take the time to soak my nails off and gently remove them. The process was far from gentle, extremely painful, and left my nails more rough and damaged then they needed to be. I could've done this process at home for free and with much less pain. Do not go here for nail removal. read more

My last outing was a 3. I'm not sure how this place becomes so pricey. I think its the upgraded pedicure, but it was $100 for a manicure/pedicure- yikes. I'll need to just pick the cheapest mani/pedis next time. The cuticle trim was pretty aggressive and the polish didn't last nearly as long this time around. I think it was the polish I disliked the most! Will try this place one more time but have them use a different brand of polish. The gel color I chose was a brand that they only had a few bottles on displace. Polish is very uneven. My nail are short and they glued the ends of the nail to my skin and the end were very rough. Had them fix that before I left but my nails look very messy and it's just day two! Looked better before I went in! One gal started my nails and another did the last coat and corrections. Have never been to a salon where the same gal didn't stay with me the whole time. I wish I was writing a glowing review because they are extremely convenient, I liked the interior and the selection of colors was impressive. A few months ago I had a gel manicure at Exp and haven't had a manicure since. I am writing a review now (months later) because the nail damage they created is obvious. The nail tech removed my cuticles with an electric nail file. It bothered me when she did it, but I convinced myself I was overreacting and they would know better than to file away the surface of the fingernail. I was wrong. When my nails grew out they were flexible. My fingernails are always thick and sturdy so it was a very uncomfortable and unusual feeling to have my nails bend. The number one rule in any profession should be to do your job without being destructive, and the tech at Exp ignored that principle to save time. I won't be going back. read more

I went in last week with an appointment. It took 30 minutes until they even started my services (beyond my appointment time). In less than a week, 2 of my dip nails have lifted up and broken off. I went back in today to have them fixed and was told they wouldn't do it now. When there is an issue it should be fixed right away. I now have two nails that look horrible and am not sure when I will be able to have them fixed. Its really frustrating and not good customer service. read more

The shellac nail polish bottles were not organized and they had a limited selection. The nail tech barely said anything to me and the pedicure was meh. Good pedicure however they told us they had time and yet somehow it took almost 2 1/2 hours to do a 45 minute pedicure. The woman who did my nails worked very hard and did exactly what I asked her to do. I have gotten acrylics from many places but I will say that I have never had such a good experience as I did with this woman. My boyfriend and I went to this salon because it's been a favorite of mine in the past. We both got pedicures and It's been a couple weeks and we both are experiencing some inflamed toes. I've always known this location to be clean so I'm confused this is happening but it's tender to walk end he has two very red and swollen areas on his toes. This is scary because he's known people who have gotten such big infections and had to get surgery - places need to be aware and clean supplies. I love love love this nail salon! My new go-to spot in my hometown of Beaverton. All the ladies there are amazing at what they do. They take their time and really ensure that your nails are to your liking. The atmosphere is clean and well-kept. They have free (and fast!) wifi available and there have been several times that I've dropped in without an appointment or called when I was down the street and they took me on the spot. I love them for that! I've never felt rushed and my nails are always on-point. There's no other spot in town that gets my nails as clean or pretty. I always get a shellac mani and sometimes a pedi and I've never been disappointed. I'm hesitant to write this review because I don't want other people to know about my little spot LOL but sharing is caring they also have a shellac guarantee that if your shellac chips you can come in and get it fixed without a charge (so long as it's within two weeks of getting it). I have recently moved so I needed to find a nail salon closer to my house. I did my research and stumbled across this salon. The pictures were great so I booked with Tiffany. Best decision ever! This is the most personable salon I've ever been to. As soon as anyone walks through the door you are acknowledged and greeted by warm faces. Tiffany did such a great job on my nails! 12/30/2020: When you first walk in, they make you check in through a tablet and then they have you wash your hands. This is great considering we're going through a pandemic. Place was clean and peaceful. Im giving three stars because I don't like the way my set came out I asked for Coffin shape but this is pretty close to the claw shape. The lady that did my nails took her time doing my nails, and said the total was $51, $1 for the filer and due to the holidays they have 20% discount on services. I paid $46, but 20% of $51 is $10.20, so it should've been $40.80 The lady did not charge me right because I paid $46, and the shape was not worth it. I won't be returning read more

Wow, what an amazing and thorough service. Finding a salon that does an excellent job, doesn't make you feel rushed and for a reasonable price is hard to come by. She even talked me out of dipping (would have been an upsell) BC she said my nails needed to grow In order to get the look I want, I appreciated her honesty. My gel manicure looks perfect, my cuticles are on point, that's one of the most important things to me. She also did a FREE paraffin wax treatment on my hands, I don't think I've ever experienced that. She was also very patient and accommodating to an elderly woman that I take of, I brought her along as we are always in need of quiet activities outside of the house. I recently moved to the Beaverton area and found EXP Salon based on their awesome online reviews. I called the morning of to make an appointment for a mani / pedi, and they were able to squeeze me in for the time slot I requested. When I arrived, I was greeted by a friendly employee who took my temperature, asked me to wash my hands, and then had me sign a simple COVID 19 waiver. The gal who did my shellac manicure did a fantastic job! She was very thorough with each step of the manicure (including the hand/arm massage!) which I really appreciated. My nails look absolutely flawless and I couldn't be more pleased. Then, I has a phenomenal pedicure by a different, friendly employee. I chose the "deluxe" pedicure which included a sugar scrub, aromatherapy product used on my feet / legs with my scent of choice (I chose lavender), and paraffin wax. I cannot emphasize enough how amazing the sugar scrub and massage process of the pedicure was! I was in pure heaven LOL and she did not ever act rushed, even when several walk-ins showed up after me. Normally I feel a little self-conscious of my feet when I go get a pedicure, but the employees at the salon were SO kind and always smiling, so I felt very at ease!
