Also they have a whole wall of bugs preserved and for sale in display frames. This store is probably THE MOST NERDY and AUTISTIC friendly store I've ever walked into. All love to the neurospicy cuz we spent a lot of time in there and plan to come back to show my daughter this location since her fav chicken is nearby. We are locals btw...not tourists and we still think this store is really great. Me and my family were in the store on 4/28/2026. We ordered an item to be shipped to our home address because of room on our bags. We have not received the item so I tried calling the store to check on the status. The phone doesn't ring and says the mailbox is full. I have tried calling multiple times and multiple days. I found an email address. I copied and pasted the address in order to be sure it was typed in correctly and it was shown to be an undeliverable email address. The whole atmosphere is super friendly, welcoming and Scott is very helpful, and just overall had a great vibe. He was helping other customers but kept checking in and walking me through everything too, without making me feel rushed. It honestly felt like a mini museum experience in there, and I wasn't even planning on buying anything... but I ended up buying something just to support the good energy. Thoroughly enjoyable experience at Expedition during our San Francisco vacation! Kaitlyn in particular was simply wonderful, outgoing, knowledgeable and helpful. It is difficult to be unique in a shopping center with many marine themes, but Expedition manages to do that, as well as provide information on their products beyond what is written on the packaging. This was a real neat store on the pier. A bit too expensive for my taste, but such unique finds in this store. The people working there were so friendly and made themselves available to questions without being pushy or hovering over your shoulder.
