Richardson's is good ice cream, but it definitely shouldn't require a payment plan. While the first bite was tasty, the rest of the tiny cup was plagued with freezer burn/ice chips. To top it off, my son deeply regretted spending approx $10 of his own hard-earned money on a single-flavor frappe that turned out to be completely ordinary and was underfilled. With service as cold as its ice cream and astronomical prices, this experience didn't come close to the old-school quality of "Deer Cap." Here's hoping management decides to scrap the shrinkflation, upgrade their customer service (please treat teens as you would an adult, they are paying customers and they notice when they're being dismissed), and start handing out actual adult-sized cups and spoons. I truly want to see our local businesses succeed and thrive, so I genuinely hope management takes this feedback to heart and makes some adjustments.

If the cruise had some nice music on, provided a few blankets (that were clean unlike the one he handed me) and offered the option for snacks/beverages, it would have been much more enjoyable. But the price tag for a 90 minute informational cruise with consistent talking and other passengers' phone loudly playing the ymca... was less than worth it.

The ice cream prices before tax (in 2021) seem fair including 1 scoop (minnow) $3.00, 2 scoops (small mouth bass) $4.50, and 3 scoops (large mouth bass) $5.50. The ice cream nachos (3 scoops with all toppings and crumbled waffle cone) is $7.00. I got a Root Beer Float ($5 plus $0.45 tax) here recently which had vanilla ice cream with Barq's Root Beer, a good refreshing standby on a hot day and minimal mess.
