I have sold items a few times and love that I can get a bit more if I choose to get paid in store credit as opposed to cash. Any items that aren't selected for the shop get donated, which is awesome. Despite the damage, they offered me just $22 for the dress, which I later sold on Poshmark for $100 the same day I picked it up. When I voiced my concerns, I was encouraged to speak with someone at the front desk, but the response was dismissive -- simply stating it would be treated as a markdown sale. There was no accountability, and it was clear there would be no resolution. I didn't bother to fight the way they seemed happy to conduct business, as this was my first experience. It was a disappointing experience that showed a lack of care for consigned items at Second Chance. I've learned my lesson and will not be returning. I'd recommend sellers explore other platforms or shops that treat high-value pieces with more respect and offer fairer returns.
