I contacted this company to service a Thermador six burner gas cooktop. The burners were all producing a very high flame even at the lowest settings and it was very difficult to simmer or cook food on low heat. Steve (and co-worker Sean) arrived today and efficiently 1) determined whether the gas source connection was appropriate, 2) confirmed the regulator was installed and functioning property 3) educated me about the location of the emergency cut off, and 4) adjusted the burners to just the right level of flame at the lowest simmer setting. This was done by accessing and turning a very well hidden adjustment setting behind the controls / faceplate of the cooktop, We were anticipating having to order parts and he was able to solve all of the mysteries and issues without the purchase of parts and in one visit. Steve also educated me about how to better maintain some of the surface parts for better performance and longevity (no water on steel components, keeping tiny vent holes clean, etc.). We appreciate Steve's level of the expertise and efficiency in getting this fixed. read more

if you read the reviews you will get a good picture of this company! My refrigerator went out and LG set up the warranty repair with Expert Appliance. They naturally called immediately after I left the house and my wife provided them my cell number to call. They never called so I called them to find out when they would be out. There had me scheduled for 8 days out! I called LG and requested they find a facility that could do the repair sooner. After 30 minutes on the phone I was told they had scheduled the repair for 4 days from today. They said that Expert Appliance would call to confirm. I never received that confirmation call so three days before the scheduled repair I called them to confirm. I was put to voicemail. I left my name, number and the reason for my call and requested a callback. No callback from Expert Appliance. One day before the repair I called Expert to confirm and I was told that my appointment had not been changed and my scheduled repair was still 5 days out. I explained that LG had rescheduled the repair and Expert quickly informed me that LG did not control their scheduling. She was very blunt and could care less what I needed. I called LG and demanded they set my repair with another provider even if I had to wait longer (what were a few more days at this point)! So good luck because you will need it if you use Expert Appliance for your repair service provider! read more

Another review that would be zero stars if possible. I find myself working with this completely unprofessional company as they are the sole provider for warranty service for the LG appliances I purchased through Costco. I finally got LG to initiate a warranty service call and was referred to this company. I was told they would contact me, usually within 24 hours, to schedule my appointment. I was provided with the service company's number in case I wanted to follow-up (likely because LG's customer service is also just as useless). I called the day I received the referral and left a message. I called the next day and left a message. I received no call back on day 1, day 2, day 3, day 4 and day 5 after the initial referral, but when calling back on day 5 someone answered the phone. They did not know why calls were not returned, but did have an appointment the following week, almost 2 weeks after the service referral. They could not narrow down a time, so I would need to be available all day for them. I let the scheduler know exactly what part was broken and asked that they have the part when they come as I had been troubleshooting with LG for many months already. I called the morning of the scheduled appointment and was told they should be out in the morning and they would call to confirm. I received a call around 0900 saying they would arrive around 1030, and the repair guys arrived an hour earlier than estimated (I'm not going to complain about arriving early because it seems I am lucky they even showed up during the promised day at all). I was almost immediately disappointed that the repair guys did not have the part required to fix my dishwasher. Instead, I escorted them in my home, pulled the rack out of the dishwasher and showed them the part I was expecting them to have with them. They fumbled around a bit and confirmed that the obviously broken part needed to be replaced. They said it would be ordered the someone would let me know when the part was expected. This was on November 20. Today is December 5, and I've gone through Thanksgiving with no dishwasher and not a work from the fine folks at "Expert" Appliance Repair, so I call them. Fortunately someone actually answers the phone, but to stick with the theme I am told the part is not in and has been back-ordered. They say they are told the part will be in on December 9, but that is just an estimate. I ask if it is possible the machine will not be repaired in time for Christmas and am told they cannot promise anything since they do not have the part from the manufacturer. I ask why I did not receive a call as the service techs promised, and there was no reason. I ask if I can schedule an appointment in advance of the part arriving an am denied. I ask if I will receive a call when the part comes in and was told that I should. Almost a month later and my dishwasher has no firm date for repair even though I told this company exactly what part was needed week ago. I would not ever choose to use this company. I initially tried calling LG for another service company when they wouldn't even call to get me on the schedule, but was told there are no other providers in my area and I would have to use them. This speaks to the crux of the problem. When a company knows they are your only choice, as Expert Appliance Repair does, they could care less about their customers. TOTALLY UNDER STAND WHY THEY HAVE ONE STAR! If I could give none I would. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Lowes scheduled them, part took forever which prompted me to have Lowes send loaner washer. Tech a month later said he "fixed" my washer but left it in my hallway and the loaner hooked up. After a week, i physically moved the washer myself because Lowes was coming to pick up loaner. Needless to say MY washer is not fixed, still broken.. Lowes rescheduled me with this company again for tomorrow and Expert appliance is telling me they cant come. Its your fault this washer is still broke! A Good manager would do everything possible to take care of this situation. A good manager wouldn't make excuses. A half decent manager would have apologized. Expert appliance expect me to go to the top With Lowes. You should lose their business!! Shame on you! They are bait and switch. On our first call they mentioned warranty covers the repairs. I mentioned them I want them to repair only if warranty covers the repair. After 2 visits and 6 weeks of not appliance not working they say that warranty doesn't cover and I need to pay 350$ with appliance still not working. I did not pay them and they have reported to credit agency. Fortunately I have very good credit history and it did not made a dent. Please be ware before engaging them. read more

My Fisher & Paykel drawer dishwasher stopped working. I was referred to Expert Appliance, and Kyle came to my house to diagnose and repair it. Two months later, the same problem occurred. I called the company back, and lo and behold, Kyle came back again. I was presented a bill, but disputed it. It was waived after I presented my case. Thank you for your service. Thanks Lowe's for having either this company or another service your products. I bought a Samsung dishwasher that is still under warranty and it doesn't clean the dishes nor does it dry them. So I had Expert Appliance, LOL, come out and they said it was the hot water that wasn't running to the dishwasher. So I paid $135 to have a plumber come out here and tell me that was not true. Then they kept me waiting for a couple of weeks for another repairman to come out because they had to get it approved through Lowe's to come back and see me again. So the motor needs replacing and they were supposed to come out today between 2 and 4 PM. I didn't even get a phone call or anything until 5:15 PM asking me if I still wanted him to come. I would not recommend them to anyone so don't be fooled by the friendly person who answers the phone. read more

The compressor went out on my LG fridge. After speaking with LG customer service, Expert Appliance Repair was assigned the warranty repair for my fridge. Expert Appliance Repair was very professional and Kenneth, the technician, arrived at the exact scheduled time. He quickly repaired the fridge, cleaned the area, and was on his way. While I hope my fridge repairs are over, I would not hesitate to use Expert Appliance Repair in the future. read more

Not quite sure exactly where to begin with these people. They came out 5 times to fix a DCS range of mine. The range now works worse than it did before they ever came out. Because our range was not working, we never paid their service charges. No worries on their account though as Expert Appliance Repair felt it appropriate to change our credit card without our approval for their service charges. Fisher Paykel (current owner of DCS) was also contacted about Expert Appliance Repair's illegal activities. It seems to me that Fisher Paykel does not take fraud as seriously as I do. Fisher Paykel and Expert Appliance Repair advised me to continue working with Expert Appliance Repair in order to resolve the problem. After five failed repair attempts and fraud, I just can't do that. Unfortunately, Expert Appliance Repair is the only qualified service repair company for DCS in my area. Expert Appliance came to repair the top drawer of my dishwasher. The tech stated he removed a piece of glass and told me it was fixed. Several hours later, I attempted to use the top drawer and it was not fixed, was leaking and the door was jammed. In addition, the bottom unit, which was perfectly fine prior to the repair by Expert Appliance was also broken. I paid the company $175.00 and nothing was fixed. I called and stated I would pay for the service charge, but not anything else. They said they would send someone back to take a look and re-assess. No!! Why would I want this company back when they did such an unacceptable job in the first place! Although I was happy to pay them for coming out which was $88.00, why would I pay them an additional $87.00 for not fixing the unit. They refused to only charge for the serivce fee. I'm disputing with by credit card company. My point of view: I'm not willing to stiff you, but you're more than willing to stiff me by having me pay for a service you didn't render.
