Since they only accept cash or check, we had little leverage to get a refund. Essentially, this is a very "old school" man working with a younger technician who actually does the work. George S. can be gruff, grumpy, forgetful and can't be bothered with this new-fangled "customer service" stuff. We will no longer work with vendors who do not accept debit or credit cards. I came across Ron's name through a recommendation via our local community forum. I called him and to my surprise he was out to our home within the hour. Ron was scoring points with me already as we had out of town company when 2 major appliances decided to go kaput. I wanted my refrigerator and dryer fixed in a hurry. On Ron's first visit to my home he first appeared like a knowledgeable, but gruff guy. After listening patiently to my frustration over my two non functional appliances, Ron then silently commenced to making his own assessments. Within minutes he had lightened up his spirits and warmly shared a solution to each issue. It was apparent to me at that point he really found joy in what he did for a living. I was delighted that he had the parts to fix both appliances in his truck as well! Ron fixed all of the issues within a couple of hours, happily answering questions and explaining each process. What great customer service. I was really shocked that not only was Ron a wiz with the repairs, but very inexpensive as well. For the dual fixes, appliance tutelage and parts, I was only billed a whopping $110.00. I simply do not know how Ron works at these rates. It is difficult today to find honest, friendly, competent service folks today. As a result, Ron definitely rates 5 stars for his exceptional work.
