My husband brought his custom made white suede converse shoes for cleaning to this place. The shoes were not brand new but they were decent, wearable shoes. He just wanted them to be somewhat like new again. My husband was looking for a quick service, so the owner suggested.... washing the shoes!!!!..... [[HIGHLIGHT]]Anticipating the owner's response here (if they ever respond here), the owner did warn my husband saying "it may not work out" which implies "your shoes may still not be clean when I'm done washing them", the risk to which my husband agreed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It does not, however, imply "your shoes will be completely ruined"!! The OWNER OF A DRY CLEANING PLACE should not even suggest WASHING SUEDE SHOES - my husband isn't supposed to know how these things work - you do!! More so, when you say "wash suede shoes", you don't put the entire pair into the washing machine without even removing the shoe laces!!!!! Lastly, if you don't know how to do it - don't offer it as a service, it's very simple. Don't just take people's money so you can run your little lab experiment under the pretense of your customers "accepting the risk". We did get a generous $25 refund of the "service" - wonderful. After trying to wash my comforter at home and making a huge mess (the comforter absorbed gallons of water and would not dry), I brought my comforter to North Coast Cleaner while it was still wet in desperate hopes of saving it. Dry cleaned a lot of business clothes; they made note of a stain on some white pants to get out. The stain did not get taken out and now it's just pressed in. I did a bit of research before I found a few places to trust my wedding gown to. First I went to a dry cleaners that was a closer location to me. This place had good reviews for wedding gowns but after showing them my gown they couldn't promise me that it would be cleaned one time and might need to be cleaned again that could ruin the delicate lace. I really wanted to sell my gown so I said no I'll take it somewhere else. And I'm so happy I listened to my gut on this. I took it to North Coast Cleaners and Bruce helped me. He said it would be a hard clean but he could do it. I trusted him as he didn't hesitate. The other place took 3 days to get back to me and wouldn't touch it. Also, they had many wedding gowns there so I definitely felt much better with leaving my investment in their hands. It looks brand new! Cost $250, which for how much the dress cost me is a good deal even though expensive. My dress is satin & lace, not as intricate as some other dresses. I wish I could wear it again or had somewhere to display it because it's such a beautiful dress. Very happy with the customer service and quality of care. They even put it on a cardboard dress holder so it keeps its shape. Would definitely recommend this place to take care of your wedding dress! read more

Dropped off 10 items, including a soft wool coat with a ripped collar and an old beloved silk dress that had gotten white spots on it due to improper hand washing and drying 5 years ago. The coat collar was subtly and perfectly repaired for $12. And the dress.. Two other dry cleaners (expensive ones in London and San Francisco) had failed to get rid of the spots and had basically told me the dress was permanently soiled. I love that dress and refused to give up. North Coast gave it back looking brand new. I can't believe it! The other items for normal cleaning were perfect. ***MESSED UP my $2,000 WEDDING DRESS!*** I took my dress in to have a simple 3 button bustle added to the back. NOT ONLY did the tailor clearly NOT MEASURE before she sewed the buttons on ASYMMETRICALLY, she also sewed on big satin buttons that will be clearly visible on my bottom instead of the clear flat buttons that are normally used to blend in. I measured when I got it home and they aligned the two side buttons to different lengths and heights. I also believe they should have called me and asked if I wanted satin buttons when clear and flat are the standard. Now I will have a hole in the dress when I get it fixed by someone who knows what they are doing. What made me even more frustrated is they denied anything was wrong instead of just admitting it wasn't a well done job. They tried to say it was because of the flower on the lace layer. It's not even symmetrical on the lace layer. I had brought it in on a few dry cleaners hangers from the previous tailor and they just shoved those in the bottom of the bag where they could have easily picked the fabric of the dress. I have been coming to this drycleaners for 5 months. And for the most part they do ok with the normal- wear- dry-cleaning. When I recently brought them a white skirt to get a stain out (miso soup), they made an attempt. I received the skirt back with a note stating they tried but could not get the stain out (but still charged me). I decided to give it a try since the skirt could not be worn otherwise. I used this product you can get at the 99¢ Store , Smart & Final and other places. It's called L.A .Awesome. I spray some of this product directly on the stain only and then soaked it in cold water for a few hours. Then I hung it to dry. Well what do you know, the stain came out! I had been searching for a good dry cleaner for my wedding dress for awhile, being cautious because a friend of mine who had also recently gotten married had a bad experience with her dress's dry cleaners. I read a lot of reviews on yelp before I decided to come here. I also called around a few places and this place was one of the most reasonably priced with good general reviews. Well I must say I am very happy that I decided to come here! Cathy, the lady who took care of cleaning my dress was extremely friendly and took a genuine interest in getting the stains out of my dress. I had several red wine stains on my silk AND lace. She was honest and told me it wasn't going to be easy but that she would try her best. The estimate for pickup was a week, but she called me and told me that the stains were harder than she thought to get out and that she needed more time. It was definitely worth the wait. When I came to pick up my dress, it was nicely folded up in a box for safe-keeping. I didn't get to see Cathy the time I picked it up but the dress was perfect! All the red wine stains were gone, even on the intricate lace parts. The really dirty bottom was spotless as well! I was extremely happy with the outcome. The great thing about it was that even though Cathy had to clean it a few more times and put in more effort into cleaning the dress, she did not charge me extra for the work. Besides the wedding dress cleaning, my husband also took his pants and jeans here to get hemmed and it turned out great. We will definitely be coming here again for our regular dry cleaning and any other special items we need to get cleaned! read more
