I missed the appointment because of an urgent personal matter and forgot to cancel it. Afterward, Andy called and asked why I hadn't canceled the appointment. I explained the situation and apologized. He then texted me saying he would now charge me an $85 service fee. When I questioned how a missed appointment could affect a warranty repair, the conversation became hostile. During the call, he used derogatory language and was rude and unprofessional. Based on my experience, I found the customer service to be disappointing. I would not recommend this business.

The owner, Aida, then reached out and asked for more details about our needs, which I provided. After that, communication stopped. We were told she was dealing with family matters and might be slow to respond, which we completely understood. Icy later explained that they needed to wait until the drywall was up before moving forward. We understood, but we wish this had been communicated earlier, as we spent quite a bit of time preparing detailed information before learning that we would need to wait. In the meantime, we contacted other blinds companies, and they were happy to provide preliminary quotes and measurements and were much more responsive. By the time our drywall was completed, we had decided to move forward with another company. I'm giving 2 stars because Icy was responsive at the beginning, but overall, the experience was disappointing. Their other reviews are very positive, so perhaps we just had an unfortunate experience. Then at the HMB Pumpkin Festival this past October Bay Home & Window had a booth. We stopped, talked, and make an appointment for a consultant to come out. After a scheduling delay due to overbooking at the Festival we got an appointment. On the day of the appointment the window designer Sarah was on time. Based on our needs she made recommendations which we concurred with. Measurements were taken and an order was placed. We paid 1/2 advance. Over the next two month projected timeframe we received email updates. When our product arrived to the warehouse we received a call for installation date. This afternoon our window installer arrived within the two hour window. Robert A. He was friendly and very competent. He completed our installation in 1/2 hour. We're very pleased with Bay Home & Window from start to finish.
