Stood all alone in line for about 8 minutes and not a single employee to be seen. Rude manager and employee refused to accept a return for an online order that was within 30 days for the ship date. They stated that the return window was 30 days from the order date (I would have been one day past), even though the website clearly states the return window is 30 days from the ship date. I even showed them the policy on the website and they told me the "website was wrong and needs to be changed." There was nothing wrong with the items. Horrible customer service and return policy since it took me 2 weeks from the order date to receive my items, only giving me 2 weeks to do a return according to them. I even confirmed with online customer support that my items were still eligible for returns; however, after the treatment I received when I went to the store the first time, I was not going to make a separate trip out there again to be treated the same way. The new Manager Nick who took over for this location is amazing. 11/10 would recommend. He is very professional and knowledgeable about how clothing and fashion works. I got a new job (Business to Business) performing from $5,000 - $500,000 deals. He helped me arm my closet and wardrobe with the proper function to A) land the job and interviews, and B) Sell and adapt to the community very quickly. My first experience was good, but as I go, the experience seem to decline. About a week and a half ago I went there wanted to purchase an item that was on sale, but I needed a bigger size and I asked the sales person to check online, before completing the purchase, he looked online. And said they was out of stock. They didn't have anymore ,when I looked on his phone. they did have them in stock. So I got home I checked and they did have them online in stock. I went yesterday to return a shirt that they only had an extra large in the store and I had ordered a large to see which one fit better ; I was told they didn't have no more as well. But they did I don't know if they trying to make a sale or employees. Some of them just liars... they gonna tell me it's outside the 30 day window to return the shirt that I ordered online because it's shipped out March 21 and when I called the line the store experience people , they trying to tell me about the 30 day policy. When you order online 30 days should start from when you get the item .. They are saying it start from when they ship the item .. that is not true They created the label on the 21st at 10 at night and it shows you on my tracking information. I looked at UPS tracking they created the label March 21 the shirt didn't ship until March 22 . I went to the Brea Mall Express and I was told my items were outside the 30 days by one day they couldn't return the item back. I think that is unfair and that policy need to change. Even the people with the store experience the number you call (they was no help. Neither a bunch of liars ,) I asked for supervisor, all of them is supposed to be supervisors. are they just doing say what they want just like some of the people in the store, not all. you do better shopping at TJ Maxx at least you have 60 days at least the employees. The managers will take stuff back after 60 days with the tags on it and have not been worn. The value is not what it used to be . So in the picture, you see the UPS tracking they said the label was created on March 21 and it also said UPS didn't have it yet. I honestly can't believe I was treated so poorly. I ordered several items online some I kept some , I went to try to turn the ones that didn't fit and the lady was so rude. The first thing she said we only do 30 day returns. I looked at my shipping recipe it was 9 days off. She took my items out if the bag and said "ugh not in season" . I asked if the policy had changed and she looked at me like i was dumb. She said she couldn't do anything. I can understand the change but don't agree that is too little time but the customer service was horrible. You don't treat a customer like that , I have been shopping online with express for years and sadly will not be shopping online . Upon arriving we were greeted by Michael and was able to assist us in choosing a suit for our wedding giving us two options. Michael got the right size pants for both of us and guided us both to the fitting room. Once we decided on an outfit we then were assisted in the casher station by Manager Logan who assisted us in navigating a coupon to save the best amount of money and went above and beyond to assure us our needs were met. I'm writing this review as part of my in store experience in hopes corporate reads and understands their newly adopted 30 day return policy is absurd. I made an online purchase 9/28/2024. After receiving my shipment a week or more later I kept some items and some did not fit. I went in store and the manager explained Express 30 day return policy. Although I was 3 days short of the 30 days I'd originally ordered and maybe in possession of the items 15 days. I hadn't been able to get to the store sooner. They told me you must return 30 days from the order date regardless of their shipping timeframe. I asked if I can have a store credit, nope. I asked if I can exchange for my size, nope. I was handed customer service number and sent away. I called customer service and was told the same thing. Sadly, I will be closing my express credit card and NEVER purchase online again. I have been a loyal express card holder and shopper for many many many years. I can understand no returns or no exchanges with no receipt but not even a store credit and you're stuck with clothing that does not fit is pretty unreasonable. read more

Stopped in to check out a few items I saw online. I did have to track down an associate but as soon as I found someone they were willing to help! I ended up taking a few things to their fitting rooms and as of July 2020 they do ask you to leave items in the room and to close the door once you are finished. I assume its so they can keep track of whats been tried on and to keep the fitting rooms clean due to COVID. I was looking for something specific and the associate told me they did not have that item yet in stock at the store and he also checked other stores in the area for me. Customer service could be better!! I came to this express location few times and every time I went and was helped by a different representative, there was some kind of issue. Last time I went and probably last time I will ever go, that girl definitely had some issues with attitude. I was next person in line, the people that were previously there, she was ringing them up and they had to go and get something or some more stuff and I'm just waiting there not even being acknowledged so I said can you help me. She goes " no im waiting for them" ummm what if they take 15 minutes, does that mean customers will just wait in line and wait for the people to come back and complete their purchase. I used to shop here a lot and my stylist was Logan. He always knew mis merchandise and what suits who. Yesterday I called to see if he still worked there so I could bring my son for some shopping. He was still working at this store but explained he is t working as a stylist currently but would be happy to help us. He asked for my son's sizes and preferred colors and said he would pick some stuff out for him. Well I kid you not, my son bought everything Logan chose plus some! Wtf??? Horrible Service, no Service, bad attitude! Came here to or three times in the last couple of months and every time I've been here the service has been terrible, and especially the people that work the cash register. They are super super slow, in efficient, and takes forever to do one tiny easy task. And they all seem to be unhappy at their jobs, and have terrible attitudes, I do not know how to smile. Over all not only are they not helpful they are very mean. I had purchased 2 work shirts for a work function, wore one, and after two washes, the shirt ripped. After which time I decided to return the other one which I have not worn yet. Unfortunately I couldn't find the receipt, so I took it back to the store and they refuse to give me a refund. They wouldn't let me do an exchange, especially since the price on the shirt has dropped since I purchased it, well obviously because it's of poor quality. Even though I don't fit most of the clothes they sell, they get major points for customer service. With only what seemed like a couple employees there, they went far above and beyond when asked about looking up our Express Credit Card to see if it was still active. Not only did they let us know it was still active, but they called and ordered us a replacement card! Then proceeded to tell us we could still shop that day and charge to the card. May seem like a little thing, but most places would just say 'call the 800 number on the back of the card'. They didn't - so thank you. read more

Came here for some pants, within the first 5 minutes of walking in, we were approached by at least 5 different employees who all asked us if we needed any help or assistance with...that's nice and all, but we just walked in and were simply browsing. Give us some space to look around first or at least make eye contact with you to indicate we need assistance. The employees continued to repeatedly check in with us as we were browsing for clothes for the remainder of our time there. It got really annoying. They need to be able to read people better. What's even more annoying, though, is that when we did ask for assistance, they weren't able to help us and needed to ask amongst one another to answer it...it wasn't even a hard question! It was simply, "What's the smallest size these pants run in?" Anyway, we ended up just figuring it out on our own. ...came back a few days later to do an exchange on one of the pairs the pants we bought. We bought two pairs the other day -- there was a mix and match buy one, get another pair 50% deal going on for the pants when we bought it. The sale was still going on when we came back to exchange the pants. When we picked new pants to change for the pair we purchased and got up to the register to do the exchange, the girl at the register said that we had a balance due for the exchange... we asked her why and she tried to explain to us that because we purchased the 2 pairs of pants under the buy one get one 50% off deal, in order to exchange the 1 pair of pants, we had to pay the remaining 50% off on it... That literally makes 0 sense. She actually said it'd be easier for us to have returned both pairs of pants and then repurchase the pair of pants...why is that easier than just making a 1 for 1 exchange?! Anyway, I probably won't be returning back to this Express anytime soon. read more

Great store to buy clothes for work! My favorite slacks here are the boot cut columnist pants because they look clean-cut and sophisticated for work meetings and come in a variety of solids and prints including plaid. The tops are hit or miss. Some are very cute but do not look built to last. I have also gotten my boyfriend work shirts and suit pants here that he absolutely loves and has worn everywhere from job fairs to weddings. The clothing is a little bit on the pricey side but if you wait until there is a sale then it is more reasonably priced. The suit pants I buy here are usually $60-$70 a pair but on sale they are usually about $10-$20 off which makes them more affordable. I've gotten lots of compliments on them at work! Plus they're comfortable and fit perfectly over work boots. read more

Express Cashiers in Brea Mall literally needs to get trained how to do basic customer service. Today ( Sunday ) I went to buy 2 pieces and they have only one with size I want, so have to order stock online at cashier for another one. The Asian cashier ( I'm Asian too ) had bad attitudes since beginning , she kept asking me "what shade of grey color I want to order". I told her I wanted the same as display over there , it s only one in grey color but not sure how shop called it , she still kept asking what kind of grey colors , light grey , dark grey ! I said I can bring to show you coz I don't know what grey and I don't want mistakes , she said - yeh if that you want ?! I brought to her with patience just to cut this out . Then again , when ordered online, she asked shipping and billing are the same. I told her yes but I moved and changed the address , then here again, she said "what I asked you is shipping and billing same ?! I tried to tell I changed address can you input in it, she repeated same sentences again and again , I started to get frustrated then she said you have to call customer service . I don't mind to do that but her attitudes are terrible. I cancelled the online order and when shop manager came to void, I told her Im not happy with the customer service , seems she didn't care much and that girl told her I just don't want to call customer service to change address , lied in front of me ! Normally I don't write reviews of random chain stores inside malls, but this particular one vexed me so I thought I'd share my experience. The BF and I got a $15 coupon from Likeacoupon and decided to use it there. The BF grabbed socks that cost $14.90 and went up to pay for it. The employee rang up the sale with no prob. I had my coupon and decided to buy BF some socks that cost $10 and I went to the same employee 15 minutes later. She spoke to me like I don't know how to speak English. "You have to spend FIF-TEEN dollars for me to apply this coupon". First, don't speak to me in that tone. Just because I have a Hello Kitty shirt on doesn't mean I don't speak English and can't understand what 15 means. Second, you just rang up someone whose purchase was under $15. Also, the coupon didn't say you had to spend a minimum of 15. Whatever, instead of arguing, I put the socks back and just left. It wasn't worth the time. read more

This is most definitely one of my favorite Express to shop at. It is located inside of the beautiful Brea Mall off the 57 Freeway on Imperial. It is my favorite Express to shop at for a number of reasons, it's organize, amazing staff and lots and lots of inventories. In addition, they have one of the largest clearance selections. If you can wait a few months for a particular style to be considered out of season, sometimes you can get something you really want for an amazing bargain. If you can't, there's another option, you can utilize the amazing coupons that they sent you. For example, $40 off $120 in purchase, $30 off $100 in purchase and so forth. The coolest thing about these coupons is that you can pretty much use them even for the sale items, as long as they are not on clearance. Quite a deal! Tips: The line can get pretty long, but they always have a minimum of three cashiers. And add more when necessary. Worth the wait! T_T i came here on a box sales day. it was a hot mess. clothes in the wrong boxes and it was difficult to find the right size. this express has a better sales rack for guys than the one in south coast plaza. perfect location, because right after shopping you can walk over to the food court just a few steps away. they only have 1 area for the fitting room. the ones in the back were under maintenance or something. the shirts are expensive when no sales are going on. 50$ bucks for a button up shirt. don't be stupid and wait for a sale. and look for coupons online and in the mail! if you sign up with their e-club, you will get 15% back i believe. the cashier is centralized in the middle of the room. read more

Last few times I was there I was helped. *********** This store and quality of clothing used to be good but now it's horrible. The dresses are looking like forever 21 now. The customer service is also down. I walked around holding several dresses and not one rep came to ask me if I needed a fitting room. I had to go into the dressing room myself to drop them off. The store itself is great with selection and the people on the floor are helpful but where this store loses it is the checkout. Time and again, only 1 person at the register no matter how long the line gets, and the line gets really bad, as in Disneyland lines. There have been two different occasions where I have just walked out because the line was so long. Easily a 30 min wait to checkout. Poor management on the store managers part. Improve this and I would boost my rating. Otherwise, depending on the day and time, you would be better off going shopping elsewhere. read more

I can't tell if I'm getting broker, or things are just costing more! I used to buy all my jeans at Express, but once I paid off that god forsaken A-List platinum credit card, I called it quits. Express has always impressed me with their quality, aka jeans and slacks that would fit my body and last for ages. Today I strolled in on a mission for some new jeans, eager to see what Express would have to impress me with this time. I found a pair that I thought would be bowchickabowwow, and then caught a glimpse of the price tag. $89!!? Holy shit, I remember when I used to buy bombsie pairs of jeans for $59.50 and got to use a sweet lil coupon, making my quality jeans only $35 bucks or so. Even with those A-Lister red carpet, golden globe, yadda yadda coupons that they always send me, I'd still be paying $65 bucks for those jeans. Hail no. I put those babies back and made my way for the exit. Not to mention, the only person who greeted me was the creeper mall lurker hanging out OUTSIDE of Express. Boo!!! I usually hit up this Express store because they are the closest one to my house but after the last 2 visits i had ill be heading else where. First off they dont have enough cashiers. Not only during the Holiday rush did they not have enough, but also after the holidays. To top it off the cashiers they had were slow and took their time, on male sales associate in general had a return and literally was folding and talking to the guest, to the point when even she felt uncomfortable with the ever increasing line behind her, and his lack of awareness aka common sense to hurry up. Second, the sales associates there are snobs. I used a gift card and proceeded to cash out the rest of the balance, which was a measly six dollars, and the sales girl almost bit my head off, saying she doesnt think that would be possible. I told her it was if the card is less than 10 dollar you could, in which she snapped back "i think its 5" If she had been trained properly she would have known its a CA state law to cash out gift cards that have a remaining balance less than 10 dollars... Not only was she a total snob but most of the sales associates there are. They really need to get over themselves its Express....please. read more

I can't remember the last time I set foot in a mall! I do most of my shopping online and in my PJ. The Express at Brea Mall is BIG because there is a men's side as well as a women's side. I could not believe how many sales associates were around and all were extremely friendly and eager to assist! By the way, they hire the cutest and prettiest people I have ever seen. I know because my daughter works there. LOL! But seriously, they have nice clothes that are trendy but not trashy. The prices are pretty reasonable and affordable. My son who is very picky about his clothes actually bought 3 shirts and I got 2 more graphic T's. At 45% off, it was a really good deal! i love this express (this one and the one in the forum shops @ casears palace are my favorite express stores) because it's well organized and the customer service is great! i've been coming here for years and i always find what i want in my size :D i love the managers because they're so friendly since i come so often they recognize me and always chat it up! they tell me what styles are new and also recommend some items. also they always have some sort of sale and some coupon rotating around. just last week i bought 3 sweaters and 2 camis for $50 (all the sweaters were $19.95 and the camis were buy 1 get 1 1/2 off) the total came out to $100 but i also had my express cash ($25 off of $50) and a $25 gift card so i only spent $25 of my own money #WINNING i also have an express card which sends me $15 every time i spend a certain amount and also like i said before i get a lot of coupons. so if you shop a lot @ express get a card!!! this store gets really packed during weekends so i recommend to come during the weekdays and/or when they open or towards closing time (but if you come at night...it isn't organized and that's my pet peeve) read more

I love it because the workers are always friendly and constantly ask you if you need help even when you're not dressed up all nice, but going in sweats and a t-shirt. I buy most of my clothes from here from their jeans to their leggings to their blouses to their sexy accessories. And you can't go wrong. I always receive great service when I come here to purchase dress shirts or ties.. They have different dress shirt sizes in the fitting rooms to try on so you can be sure to purchase the size that fits properly.. They were even great help when I tried on a suit even though I told them I probably wasn't going to make the purchase that day but was interested in the fit.. They were very cool and still helpful.. I've also purchased items off their website without any problems as well.. A bit expensive but I always make my deals during their sales.. Great store in my opinion.. General tip in life.. If you want great service then come in cool and positive and you'll be treated the same way.. If you come in with attitude then you deserve to be treated with attitude.. Great selection of clothing (both on regular priced things and sales rack). its probably the best stocked express within a 15-20 mile radius. service is nice. girls are cute. the store is kept nice and clean. no dust that i can see. there are plenty of changing rooms, so there is usually no wait. nothing bad about them. def recommend this store. oh, the polos are great, especially the one with the larger lion logos. they are decently priced and look great (compared to AnF which charges a boat load for everything). also, lotta things look a little metro..........or you know what. it doesnt appeal to me cuz i like things to look masculine and not flashy, but if you are into that kinda stuff, then it might be a great place for you to stock up on clothing. read more
