My go to vans store! It was so crowded and crazy during Christmas time in the mall & especially in this vans store. I want to give a big shoutout to Gisele who helped me at the register & Sophie for helping me finding the perfect shoes for Christmas gifts. I had no idea about their sales buy one get one & so I ended up getting 2 shoes and 2 shirts. No matter how busy they were that day, I got helped out and in/out the store. Today's experience was unacceptable knowing that you guys have a release you guys should've done one per sku manager try to make it right by showing me that upper management had said two per sku just different sizes I know as a manager you have the right to make your own choices on how you release. Something would've been nice if you would've done one per I would've been able to get the size I wanted to be able to wear it. read more

Cici was awesome helped us and I got the last pair of pink Vans in size 8 thank you so much for finding them for me. Was also looking for a new pair for baby girl but the slip ons are just a little off for her and the other pairs the colors weren't what she liked so we will keep looking for her. But thank you so much Cici for all your help she is awesome and went back a few times to find the right size for baby girl. She doesn't wear kid size anymore :( got her a pair of boots at another store in woman's size 7 unreal lol she is going to fit my shoes soon. The store was busy today they have a sale going on, but she still found time to help us and found the right shoe for me since I really needed some new sneakers so badly. Online ordering sucks ass. Doesn't matter if you walk in to place the order or online. Storefronts throw up their hands and pass you to vans website. Which pretty much sux bootyhole. My response to their email Ordering from Vans was a horrible experience. Also, if you (vans) will be having a Vans decided to cancel my original order after FedEx called to confirm shipping address. Vans neglected to contact me the buyer to inform THEY asked FedEx to ship the shoes back. ANNNNND, vans was not planning on returning the fund till I called and made a stink. Instead Vans had me place another order and would credit me... eventually. Think it's been two weeks and still nothing. Best part. Vans are quick to take your funds but slow to replace especially when it's their error. At the end of the day.... Never gonna place another online gift order with you shmukatellies. You all drained the life outta me. And the order was a birthday gift. Not sure who Frank F is on your side. But he needs to be checked. read more

So friendly and extremely helpful! Every employee was so cheerful and enthusiastic despite the huge line outside the store. You will have to wait a while if you come on the weekends, but that is to keep a limited capacity during the pandemic. I asked the cashier about their sanitizing policy and they said that they try to sanitize the counter and keypad after every customer, but if the line is backed up, they do a MINIMUM sanitation of every three customers. The cashier uses hand sanitizer in between each customer as well! I felt very safe and could tell the workers cared for our safety. read more

Came here from out of town on a Sunday afternoon and it was jam packed full of customers and employees. I thought there was a sale or something but it was probably back to school shopping. Tristian saw me looking around and past people heads trying to see their selections of Van's & asked if I needed help. There was so many people in there, I couldn't even walk to take a look at the shoes. After I decided on which two pairs to try, I asked Tristan for his opinion about the styles and sizes. I found an open spot to sit and wait. There was 5 or 6 people writing down sizes and grabbing shoes for everyone. They were fast and efficient.. the crowd started to die down and the lines for the registers was shorter too. As I tried the two pairs Tristan bought out, another employee named Bre came to check on me. She was really nice and sweet. Bre helped me get another size and laced them for me as well. Turns out she was wearing the exact same pair I was interested in. Although it was super busy and crazy, I really appreciated Tristan and Bre for looking out for me. Tristan was one of the managers and I can see why! Amazing service, honest and very helpful. Bre was thoughtful and wonderful. THIS IS THE BEST EXPERIENCE at a Van's store ever. Purchased 2 pairs of toddler shoes from vans last week and my son was gifted the same pair from his grandma as a gift. We came to Brea to return/exchange them. They had little selection to choose from- my son has many of the styles already so we proceeded with the return of shoes priced $40.00 on the receipt but the person who was assisting us at the register (didn't see a name badge- female curly hair Caucasian) took a calculator and calculated that our other pair had a discount of $17 from clearance and she deducted it from the $40 pair that we were returning. She said we would only get back $24 and change... I asked where on the receipt it says she can do that and she said it doesn't say it on there. I didn't know employees could make their own policies??? I've shopped and worked at many retail stores as a customer service manager and no one has ever done that to avoid a return including myself. That's how to lose customers. I'm sure she was a manager who didn't want to have a return affect their day earnings for the store but just as easily as I purchase shoes, I can return a new pair if need be without fake policies. read more

I really liked this Vans store! The staff was very nice and helpful. They immediately came up to my group and explained all their deals and prices. The staff was constantly readily available and I really liked that. The store was a little cramped and Vans are on the more pricey side as always, but it's a very nice store! I never have a problem finding staff to help me with anything in a Vans store, and that applies to this location as well. I was there about a week ago.. one of the girls there was useless lol I asked her for a size for my daughter and when she went back to look, she never even came back out. I waited for what seemed like forever (I'd bet about 8-10min). My daughter was so ready to go but I waited. I was standing by the door way that separates the main floor from the inventory, and I saw her back there chatting and laughing with another coworker as she was walking into the bathroom. She said nothing to me! Not even a "hey! Couldn't find the size". Had no regard that a customer was out there waiting. The more I think about it, the more annoyed I get. Finally, I stopped a gentleman and he helped me. he was a bit quicker. They didn't have her size so we took off. read more

So, apparently having a gift receipt and being the original purchaser of vans tennis shoes, does not allow you to return the item to get your money back. This is ridiculous! Every other store will allow you to return items just based on your credit card. Van says they have no technology to be able to look up your purchases from your credit card. This is insane! So if I don't have my original paper receipt, who saves those? You cannot return any items. This is crazy for this day and age. They need to get with the times! read more

Stopped in to get a few pairs of shoes for my son. They surprisingly had a good variety of toddler shoes in my sons size. The store was pretty dead when I stopped in with plenty of associates available to help. I was greeted by each employee which was refreshing. Everyone seemed super happy to be back at work. I'm not sure why they haven't updated their hrs on here to being back open which can be a bit misleading. I frequent this location & mall a lot and it has been my go to store since it's close to one of my business locations down the street. I'm not sure if masks are "required" I wore one but my husband is a bit of a rebel and refuses. No one really said anything so I'm not 100% sure if it's because there were no customers or if it's not required. read more

My first time visiting this location and I've never been to a Vans location where I've felt pressured to leave within the first 5 minutes of me getting there. I came to this location with a couple of friends and we were all looking at shoes. I knew my size and what shoes I wanted and a sales associate by the name of Clare A approached me and asked if I needed a size, I said yes and she quickly brought me my size. Perfect! The trouble started when I sat down to wait with my friends and give them opinions on their shoes. Clare A would NOT leave me alone. She constantly kept coming up to me and asking me if I needed help even though she knew I already got everything and I kept telling her I was okay, that I was just sitting down and waiting with my friends. Eventually she came up to me and asked me if I wanted to hold my shoes at the cash wrap. I've worked in retail for a while now and this is a common question asked when you suspect someone of shoplifting. I said yes but I was so appalled and taken aback. It had literally been like 5 minutes of me being in the store and I wasn't ready to go, I was waiting with my friends who were buying shoes. Even they were commenting on how rude she was being because she wouldn't leave me or us alone. I felt like everyone just wanted us to leave which is sad because we were doing nothing wrong, just purchasing shoes. I have been to other locations, dressed and looking exactly like I did at this location and have never been treated like I'm a suspect. I have received nothing but quality customer service from Vans but the service at this location could use development. Thank you Josh H for being so kind at the register, he is the only reason I would give this spot more than 1 star. I will never return to this Vans location again. read more
