Found this place looking for REAL espresso drinks and as an awesome side effect found that they had great food as well! Venezuelan. Arepas are gluten free! If you are not familiar the arepa is similar to a taco but is not a crunchy shell although it is corn based. Other items made with cassava flour instead of wheat and the cachapas that are made of corn are a sweet corn pancake type of thing. They also have American choices for the less adventurous. I highly recommend for breakfast / lunch. REAL , fresh made food , prepared in house at a good price is hard to come by. But here it is. Enjoy! read more

Went here the other night to get maybe a decaf latte but it was so hard to find with everything that was going on in Old Town on a Saturday night. It's within a hotel/motel (not sure) so the ambiance isn't right for the look inside but we got the chicken empanadas and guava and passion fruit juice. The guava juice was delicious but I think the passion fruit felt like it was watered down. The empanadas were a little dry and all they did were reheat them when we ordered so who knows how long they had been sitting out. Also tried a piece of the raspberry cornbread and I wouldn't necessarily recommend it. The customer service was also not great as the guy working there couldn't even break into a smile or use his manners. read more

This is one hidden gem! My husband and I were staying at the Celebration Suites (also highly recommended) and were walking to Old Towne when we (pretty much) stumbled on it. Our food was "outstanding" and we can't wait to go back! In speaking with some of the other diners at the cafe the overall consensus was "you can't go wrong"! Serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner in this quaint outdoor setting with streamed "dinner appropriate" music turned what we thought would be a quick grab and go to one of the most amazing culinary experiences. All I can say is Julio may need to consider expanding in the near future! Fresh home cooked food, nice low key setting, and friendly staff...definitely a "win-win" in our books! read more

This is a small cafe, but it is usually pretty empty and a good place to hang out. Has good amount of power outlets. Also has free WiFi. The food is delicious. I had a chicken arepa and a passion fruit juice. Both were great. read more

Best breakfast spot, it's what you call a hidden gem!!! I had the most incredible arepas, pan de bono, and coffee. The owner was nice enough to customize my order since I'm a vegetarian... my arepa with cheese and avocado was just delicious. Went here during a lunch break during a weekend conference at the Gaylord Hotel. Great people working behind the counter! Super friendly. Came here with really high hopes but was extremely disappointed. I ordered an iced coffee and a bagel egg and cheese and was not delivered an iced coffee but some blended drink. When I asked to have an iced coffee instead there was so much confusion for something so simple. Also, the iced coffee was $4 which is crazy expensive being it was in a 12oz cup, and mostly foam (literally cheaper at Starbucks). Coffee did not come back iced either but room temperature. The bagel egg and cheese was okay but the egg tasted pre cooked and not fresh at all. My friend also ordered an iced caramel latte and was given some iced hot chocolate drink which she also had to send back. Her bagel order was also messed up as she ordered a bagel, ham egg and cheese and they tried to serve her egg on the side. Her dose of ham consisted of one single slice of lunch meat ham. For a business with 4 stars I really expected better. I want nothing more to see small businesses succeed but this cafe has a lot of work to do. I really hate to write this and hopefully in the future this place will get better but i highly do not recommend. The only positive of this place was the interior design was cute. Waste of $10, I wish I would have asked for a refund before rushing out of there after. read more

My wife and I stayed nearby and we found this great little coffee place with a big selection of breakfast and lunch menu. The empanadas were some of the best I've had and my wife had this amazing chicken and avocado sandwich on this very light cornbread bread. We ate here over 3 different times during our stay. Got the cheese arepa which was very disappointing it had cold shredded cheddar cheese which was not how it is pictured on their menu and it was cold. Also had a croissant sandwich which was very small in comparison to price, items on the menu are overpriced and nothing special. read more

AMAZING! If you are in the area you have try this place. It may be tiny but they hand select their ingredients each day and make great items. Bagel, chicken, colby and avocado is my favorite but by far their COFFEE is amazing. They have a special blend of coffee beans that is second to none. read more

This was one of the best restaurants we ate at while vacationing in Florida. It's a little place with a wide variety of choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner and in between. The breads, meats and cheeses were all so flavorful. Their coffee drinks were very smooth with no bitter aftertaste. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by this cafe. The food here was amazing. The shredded beef arepa was perfect, nice and crispy, the beef you can tell was fresh. The tequeños had lots of cheese, and the blackberry milkshake was just the right amount of sweet. The servings were plentiful and maybe a little too much beef because it got a little messy. Aside from being a little messy which isn't necessarily a bad thing, I did have one complaint, the cheese bread. Unfortunately I saw when the lady heated them up in a microwave leading me to believe they were old. They tasted a little dry and it really had me wondering what I was getting myself into by eating there. Fortunately, that was at the beginning of the meal. This cafe is located at a small hotel, parking is a bit limited, but I'd definitely say to give it a try. Prices are reasonable but the tab adds up pretty quick as you want to try so many different things. $3 for those cereal cups is a little absurd, but when your little girl says she wants fruit loops and looks at you with beautiful blue eyes it's hard to say no. Little hidden cafe. Nothing fancy, but bfast was freshly made, service was lovely...even strained the pulp from the fresh squeezed oj for our son. Mickey Pancakes also on the menu! Specialty coffees including cuban coffee. Bakery goods, including empanadas, croissants, and tequeños. perfect spot for a quick and inexpensive bfast before heading to the parks.
