Seemed like a pretty standard Jewish-style deli, and the sides were tasty as well. One of the people at our table ordered carrot cake, which was quite large, and I got to taste some of it, which was tasty too. All the staff there were very friendly too, and it's fairly loud in there like your typical local deli. I would consider going back again if I'm in the area or some friends are going.

Hostess-very rude, no smile, barely spoke up to us. we prayed she wasn't our waitress too At the table -trash on the floor from previous diner(s) Our waitress was super nice. We ordered a Corned Beef special and a Roast beef special. When they arrived we couldn't tell the difference. I've never had such dark brown corned beef served to me Neither sandwich had any taste or flavor, like they forgot to put the pickling spice on. Maybe they aren't making the meats in house anymore? Pickle Bar - wow, you might as well just serve us the few sparse items that you now offer. Disappointing Overall- we travel a distance to come here and will take Hymies off our list. I've been a customer since Barson's on Haverford Ave in the 70s I had a sense that the love and care was no longer there. Sad

I've been trying to find a good pastrami sandwich for quite some time. My experience tells me that…read moreif an off-menu sandwich (e.g. Reuben, corned beef) is on the menu, it's normally good. However, pastrami is a different beast, as it needs to be cooked perfectly and sliced thin enough so as not to become like tree bark. Murray's has a hit here ! The Murry's special Pastrami Reuben is as close to perfect as I've eaten in the Philly area. Pastrami was thinly sliced, tender and seasoned nicely for my taste, the sour kraut and rye bread did not disappoint. I finished the sandwich much to my surprise, as rarely am I able to do so at my age (74). Drawbacks, are street meter parking, not the best service but worth the visit. I'll be back when my next Pastrami urge strikes!

My cousin can eat lol...but we both needed a box for the second half of our Murray's Delight Sandwiches. They were packed with delicious hot pastrami and the perfect blend of melted Swiss, sauerkraut and Russian dressing. I also appreciate the fries being hot and that there were not too many on the plate. Let's face it, reheated fries just aren't it. But Murray's is it!!! Our server was wonderful and there's ample, cozy seating. You can comfortably dine in or take out. Who doesn't love options lol?! I highly recommend you check them out! Cheers!

Absolutely the star of the show--fresh, soft, and delicious. Unfortunately, that's where the excitement ended for me. The steak itself was surprisingly bland and severely underseasoned, lacking the flavor and punch I was expecting. After just two bites, I was completely done. I came in expecting an iconic food experience and left disappointed. If this is considered one of the best, then Philly cheesesteaks might just not be for me. For my taste buds, this one was a definite bust.

The staff is absolutely wonderful, helpful, friendly, and just generally thrilled to be there. I def feel like it's a neighborhood joint for sure. Such an awesome variety of foods including upscale and local options! I love that they carry Marchiano's and Pierogi Kitchen in their freezers! They also have your standard corner store chips, drinks, local snacks, and some grocery items plus some nice pastas, sauces, an entire hot sauce wall, etc. The hoagies and sammiches are delicious and I am constantly stalking their FB page to see what the latest special is and I'll usually just go and get that. I have had so many options from standard Italian hoagies to breakfast sammich, to brisket specials, roast pork, and everything in between! I have always been extremely pleased with anything I've gotten here and they are always adding new options (they now have soup, wings, fries, and other specials!). They also have great deli items, I love the mac salad! They used to be cash only which was never an issue for me because they have an ATM on site. But as of last week they now take credit cards! My only complaint is that they are on the pricey side - my hoagie + waffle fries + drink set me back almost $30. But I love supporting a new local business and the pricing has never deterred me - just something to keep in mind.
