Every morning I walk pass this breakfast/lunch spot; it always seems to have a flow of customers, so why not try their food. YUCK!!! I ordered a bacon, egg and cheese on a toasted raisin bagel. There's a sign that says that the bagels are made fresh. Well I guess I got a bad batch of bagels. I'm used to a nice somewhat hefty breakfast sandwich, not here. The cost of the sandwich was $4.00. I swear it had one and half pieces of bacon and one egg. The bagel tasted like burnt cardboard. The only good part of the sandwich was the one egg. I have ordered on two occasions and on each occasion, I was very displeased how they handled business. My first encounter, I placed an order online; and it stated processing, and the money was taken out of my account. I went to the store and they stated they have no order for me at all. I had to fight to get my money back. The 2nd time I placed an online order and it went through, I received a receipt with a number and an estimated time the order would be complete. This is a hidden underground gem I discovered thanks to JL Jupiter on YouTube. They have an extensive breakfast and lunch menu. The word Pastrami comes first and then "things" second, so I figured they must specialize in pastrami. On my first visit I had a Pastrami, corned beef, and cheese sandwich. It was on rye bread. It was so delicious! Despite it being a thick sandwich it was easy to bite. The meats melt in your mouth. It ranks right up there with the top sandwiches in the city. I had a piece of lemon cake with it, which was a good but standard piece of cake. It satisfied my sweet tooth but was not memorable like the sandwich. On my next visit I went for breakfast and tried the Pastrami & cheese sandwich on a Kaiser roll. The sandwich was not very well put together. Most of the egg was on one side of it. And the pastrami seemed a bit overcooked. It was still a very good breakfast sandwich once I evened out the egg, but not quite up to the level I expected based on my last visit. I ordered a corned beef special. Had no dressing or coleslaw on it. Took it back to let them know. The owner got nasty and disrespectful because he said he didn't make that mistake and argued with me for a few minutes. I showed him the sandwich and he said that coleslaw and dressing were on it. His wife took the sandwich and went behind the counter, did something and gave it back. I should have checked before I left because it was a totally different sandwich. It was toasted on a different kind of bread. I called back to let him know about the second mistake, when he hung up on me. His wife was not disrespectful but he should not be in business. Was pleasantly surprised by this spot! I work in this building but honestly didn't give this place a second thought until today when I was in a rush and didn't bring lunch nor have time to go anywhere nearby. While I normally would go to the nearby reading terminal to purchase lunch, I will definitely be back here due to the quick service, affordable prices, and delicious food! I got the hoagie special - smoked turkey and American cheese with mayo, lettuce, and tomato, bag of chips, and can of soda. I wanted kettle cooked chips so that was + 75 cents, but all in all I paid 8 bucks.. amazing!!! The hoagie was huge! I ate half for lunch and saved the rest for dinner, and it still tasted just as good as it did when it was first made. Plenty of lunch meat on the sandwich, perfect amount of mayo (hate when they put too much), and the roll was great. I will definitely be back to try their other specials and sandwiches!!! read more

I ordered pastrami on rye with Swiss and yellow mustard. It was ok, but not worth the price. I also ordered roast turkey and cheese wrap for my mother(she loved her sandwich). The staff was ok, but be aware of the customers or bystanders. Some of them are rude and have no basic manners(i.e covering their mouths when they coughed). Only thing I'll buy from them again is a beverage. read more

I work in the Septa Building and have been a patron of P&T since 2017. I love the one guy who makes my food. I don't particularly like the owners making my food because they don't put love into it. The AA gentleman always makes my sandwiches perfectly and gives me actual soup when I order it and not just broth. It's a shame I can't remember his name, but he's a shorter guy, wears glasses and is great at what he does. Thanks if you read this:) I always tell him thanks anyway to his face. read more

The staff at the store in the SEPTA building is ALWAYS RUDE and rushing you to pay as if you're going to run out without paying. Also, they have their specials, but when you ask for something not on the menu, it's a huge problem, and they try to overcharge you. I asked for a grilled cheese sandwich one time and a side of potato salad another time. Terrible experience both times. I walk out in the cold and rain to avoid giving my money to these rude people. read more

I've always seen this place but they're always closed when I stop by. I had to deal with the new Septa Key card and they were open. They had plenty of specials, so I got the Smoked Turkey hoagie special, with chips and a can soda for $6.75. I was not only impressed with the size of the hoagie (9 inches), but it had a nice amount of meat and it was very good. It had more meat than a Subway sub. A friend of mine, who i caught up with, ordered the cheese steak and if too, had a nice amount of steak, for the price. I will definitely be back. read more
