I've been coming here for some years. Parking is residential Street sometimes it's a little tricky. you order at a kiosk, print your ticket, and take it to the counter. It's kind of like a stop-and-go setup, with the hoagie section off to the side. They also sell beer, coolers, soft drinks, chips, and snacks, so it's convenient if you want to grab a few extras. I do think some items are a little overpriced, but you can get an 18-inch hoagie for about $15, which is a good size. The meat is sliced fresh to order and the rolls are fresh. I had the maple honey turkey sliced thin (just how I like it). My only issue was with the Cooper Sharp cheese. I asked for extra cheese, but it was broken up, so pieces kept falling out of the hoagie. Other than that, it was really good. I only get a hoagie maybe once a year, but when I do, I usually come to this location. Service is always pretty nice. read more

I used to come here all the time whenever I was in Philly visiting family. I haven't had a hoagie from here since 2012, so it's been a minute. The vibes are a little different. Maybe different ownership, so a different feel. I got my usual, the Kosher Little Brother. They didn't offer me samples of sliced meats the way they used to. But it was stacked high with the meats, but not as messy and juicy as I remember. I always eat half and save the other half for later. The bread is fresh and soft. Really nice people, but do not recommend for a hoagie.. Close to $20 for a large turkey and cheese and not nearly enough meat or cheese. I couldn't taste the thin slice of cheese at all, barely any lettuce, and the tomato was awful:( what happened to nice juicy tomatoes? They are in season and so easy to get..I couldn't even taste the onions which is strange. Bread was okay. I've been to Hoagie Factory many times and their hoagies never disappoint. The ingredients are always fresh. For me, always gets it right. Love that their sandwiches come in 3 different sizes, so you can get the one that fits you or for sharing. We decided on 2, 2foot hoagies for the whole family to share. A tuna and an Italian. Love the fresh rolls, pickles, tomatos....all fresh. No complaints with either sandwich. Speaking of complaints though.......the reason that I've taken two stars away is because no social distancing has been put in place here. I ordered my sandwiches by phone. They told me it would be about 40 minutes. When I got there, no one stopped me from going in. This is a very small store by the way, that also sales groceries, milk, beer etc. It doesn't take but about 8 people to make this place crowded. I felt very unsafe standing in line, trying my best to stay even 4 feet away from people. I'm sure I was looking like a Ninja swaying around trying to keep my distance :( This could be easily solved by having someone monitor how many people should be in this store at one time. The sign on the door says phone orders only, which I feel is a joke. When you have no way of ordering anything but a sandwich by phone, and then not being called to know when it's ready other than standing in a line among other people. Also, they are Not hooked up with any delivery service (uber eats or grubhub etc). Please get with the times!! Even though I really enjoy their hoagies, I will not be returning until they develop some safety measures or this pandemic is over. For one they totally messed up my order for 2 party trays . Then they didn't give me what I ordered i was missing my turkey and cheese hoagie .it wasn't cut up like they said it was they put mayonnaise on all the hoagies i didn't ask for that it's surpose to be put on the side if you ever gotten any hoagie trays before. The Hoagie Factory usually has good food and the owners are extremely nice; but as lately I've had concerns about the sanitary practices of the crew who work in the hoagie preparation area. The other night I went there to order a hoagie and the preparation crew were in the back enthusiastically talking about the basketball game. I noticed a tall preparer with bare hands scratch his butt outside of his pants. He then proceeded to grab a hoagie roll with the same bare hand that he scratched his butt and cut the hoagie roll. He must have realized that he forgot to put gloves on because he then put gloves on and finished the hoagie. I didn't want to make a scene because it was fairly crowded, but I immediately threw the hoagie in the garbage. You would think that during this pandemic that food service people would be more health conscious and not handle food with bare hands or talk over people's food without wearing a mask, but some people just don't get. I will stop in there occasionally to see if the owners read this and implemented changes. if not, I will be seeking out another hoagie location. read more

I was introduced to the Hoagie Factory by a good friend. He took me there during the West Oak Lane festival. Their cheesesteak was okay, however their chicken cheesesteak was delicious. After the first bite my hoagie mystery disappeared. They had a variety of drinks in the glass refrigerators that are located right behind the counter where you place your order. I had not seen a Tahitian Treat (fruit punch soda) in my moons and had that along with my hoagie. We had one to dine in. Their seating area is located in the back of the restaurant. You would not know they had a seating area if they did not ask you if the order was for here or to go. I took the other one for the road. The service is great. They were very friendly, which shocked me, because being an avid food channel watcher they always say folks at the hoagie places are rude. Definitely not the case here. The meat is always sliced fresh and the buns used are that perfect just enough outer bite combined with the soft inside to accept all the fix ins and meat. I think this is a generous review. The chicken cheesesteak we got from here (hoagie factory size) for 11ish bucks with fried onions, mayo, and tomatoes was very generously sized filled to overflowing, and was certainly alright, however the chicken was stringy and just did not taste as good as the chicken at, say, Brunos. They are mainly a beer store with many beers to choose from and loads of snacks and so forth, but this is Philly. Our standards are (or should be) higher then, say Oxford or New Holland. For some reason, however Easton and Allentown seem to have good quality hoagies. I like Coke. They dont have Coke.
