I try not to complain but forgive me as I rant to try to save another person from experiencing what I did this morning. I am trying to slowly fix-up my house and part of that is replacing the carpet in my bedrooms. I chose to go with Express Flooring because they offered to move furniture. When the installers (Luis and Pablo) arrived today, Luis (the lead) was extremely rude and disrespectful. When I showed him the 6 pieces of furniture that needed to be moved from my garage into the Master Bedroom after the carpet was installed, he said he was a professional carpet installer and not a mover. I explained what the contract was and also that their website offered this and he just continued to say that if he broke something he would not be responsible for it. He began to move a couple of items, he started with the boxspring and mattress in the Mater bedroom which he put in the gravel front yard outside, then he attempted to move a cabinet which he said was too heavy. He got assistance from Pablo and slammed it outside, breaking one of the items. After that he said he refused to do the job. I told him that I was on the phone with the company and that they asked that he wait. He continued to refuse. His helper felt extremely bad and came in and apologized. They left and now I am left with my house being in more chaos than it was previously. I got a call from the installation manager, Buck, who told me that he heard an entirely different story but he would not send Luis back and asked if he could send a husband and wife team out today but then asked if I thought they could move the furniture. I explained it was heavy, Master Bedroom furniture to which he responded he would like to use a different crew but they wouldn't be available until tomorrow. Needless to say, I will be sleeping on the couch tonight and am just praying that the job is completed tomorrow. This is all part of their advertisements, furniture moving and great customer service, so what happened? Let's hope tomorrow goes ok but I will NEVER recommend this company to anyone. read more

If I could use less than one star I would. The carpet I purchased is not wearing well at all and the installation is horrible. The edges are coming up when I vacuum. I do not recommend this company. Let me start by apologizing to car salesmen if I offend you by comparing you to the sales rep that showed up to discuss flooring options with me. When setting up the appointment I said I know I want vinyl plank flooring. I have 3 GINORMOUS dogs, one of which is a water dog and comes the house dripping wet from the pool, therefore real wood, laminate and carpeting were out of the question. I also have a bad back and knees so tile is out as well. They told me the salesman would bring the 15 or samples of LVP for me to choose from. When the sales rep arrived he was very personable and we sat down to go over some questions he had. About 5 questions in, I knew I was probably NOT going to be using this company. "What are you looking to spend?", he asked. 'I'm not buying a car here!' is what I was thinking. You show me what you have and the price and then I will make up my mind. I'm a little flexible with my budget for the right look. "Oh, that's not how we work. We give you a bid for everything, not a square foot price." He wouldn't show me anything until I told him my budget which was under 10k. His attitude changed from friendly to slightly condescending. There was no way they could do it for that price and if I got a quote for that or less I was getting poor quality flooring, etc, etc. He was also going off the floor plan from the county instead of taking measurements. I told him those figures included the Arizona room and store room and he argued with me. . . about my own house. This house was built in 1969, perhaps some numbers were transposed, but it is incorrect. So he started punching in numbers on his laptop, which he kept turning away from me so I couldn't see, and finally came up with 25k, but if he called his supervisor, he might be able to get it as low as 15k. Again, I felt like I was talking to a used car salesman. RECIPROCITY. . . It's the oldest sales trick in the book. He makes me feel like he is giving me a good deal and I feel obliged to reciprocate by saying yes. At one point he told me that LVP and tile would have the exact same effect on my back. Carpet was the only thing that would have some give and be better for my back at which point he tried to sell me carpet because that was the only thing I could get for less than 10k. By the way, we're talking 1200 square feet. I should be able to carpet that floors, walls and ceiling for that price. I never did see any of his 135 samples that he had in his . . . . . SUV, panel van, box truck? NO! In his Prius. Really? I'm going to be able to pick a floor from a sample that has to be less than a foot square? Maybe he just had pictures. I don't know. But I do know if I'm "ONLY" spending 10k, I want to see and feel the product and lay it out to know how it's going to look. To conclude, all I have to say is, RUN! Run away. Run as fast as you can. You're better off going to a big box store where you KNOW they don't make a commission. Which, by the way, he mentioned about 4 times in the 30 minutes he was here. So, they don't make a commission. They probably make bonuses on their sales, but not a commission. read more

The day after I wrote my initial review, I got a call from the General Manager of Express Flooring. He said while he admitted no wrong doing, he wanted to come out and redo the master bedroom flooring. He also said I would be required to sign an agreement before they would come out to do the work. He sent me an agreement that said I would agree to immediately close any and all open complaints I had filed against Express Home Services, LLC, and I would not open any future cases, complaints, disputes, or actions of any kind with any court, bank, or agency in the future against Express Home Services, LLC for any reason. It also said I would agree not to publish or communicate any details of this agreement, or any negative statements regarding Express Home Services, LLC or any of its employees, representatives, and/or sub-contractors on any internet website, blog, or public forum of any kind. So, this agreement would strip me of my rights in the event Express Flooring came out to my home and failed to complete the repair in a satisfactory manner or caused my home damage, etc. I told the General Manager I would not sign their agreement to give my rights because people should be able to read consumer opinions on Yelp and other social media before they spend thousands of dollars and risk having an experience such as my own. He didn't care. He wouldnt agree to do the right thing unless I agreed to give up my freedom of speech. Today, 2 weeks after this job began, they finally completed the unfinished work, laying the 6 transition pieces that were missing. The workers did not care to remove their shoes while walking on my brand new carpet. They did not care to use face covering. Never again will Express Flooring be welcome in my home. And not only did they lose this repeat customer, I happen to know 2 homeowners who recently got a quote and decided to pass after they heard my story. read more

Got a quote from them for a hallway and it came out to $1350. I wasn't expecting for a hallway to be as expensive and only had $1100 so I asked if the price could be brought down to my sales consultant Ashley and she said she would try talking to the manager. A few days after we reached out to her with a coupon to see if it could be applied to the quote she gave us and she didn't reply until the second time we asked her a few days later saying she couldn't. Fine, I try to reach out to her once more to see if she had included the small closets along the hallway so in case she did we could remove them and hopefully make the quote go down. She didn't respond again and I reached out to get AGAIN so I could just get the name of the Wood floor I used when they came out to do the living room at master bedroom the first time (about a year ago) This time she responded stating she had a family emergency and to call the main number. Cool, I understand that. I call them and they told me they had to send someone back out because they basically didn't have the information Ashley gave us. The Training Manager goes back out. Looks at the hallway for 10 min and leaves. He not only does not do the thorough measurements that Ashley did, but he also comes back with a MUCH higher quote of over $1,600. Wtf! My experience with Express Flooring has not been great. The workmen were helpful and friendly. They did a wonderful job of removing the furniture and putting it back. Nothing was broken and they were careful to replace in exactly the same spot. The measurements for my carpet were incorrect which required a second day return. The workmen indicated I could have taken the carpet right to the tile in the great room, but because the measurements were incorrect, they were unable to do that. I attempted to contact the person who sold me the carpet, but she did not return my calls. Now I am dealing with little pieces of carpet all over my house and the carpet was installed nearly a month ago and has been vacuumed several times. Am now wondering about the quality!! The person who sold the carpet to me indicated that I could pay via credit card and supposedly had it all set up. After the job was done, one of the workman came to my home for a check to pay the balance. I also received a call from Express Flooring asking where my check was. I explained how the sales rep had set up my credit card for payment. In the end, it worked out, but required too many calls/time to get it straightened out. Bad reviews aside, this company quotes much higher than any other flooring company in the Tucson area. They ask for your budget ahead of time and then give you an estimate close to the top of that! Had Express Flooring sales guy come out and give his whole presentation. On one bedroom, $6000+. Sales guy took the measurements. When asked what the measurements were, he wouldn't tell us. We felt that we were extremely pressured. He tried to pull out all the stops and took out his sample of Berber carpet. If I want to be pressured I can do it at a car dealership. I was worried about reading the negative yelp reviews but after yesterday's install I'm a fan. My experience started off a little rocky, I was not impressed by the sales guy who became pushy and aggressive when I told him I wasn't planning on buying the day of the quote but after dealing with David the sales manager and my absolutely FANTASTIC installers I'm happy with the process. Installers were prompt, (was told they're arrive 8-10 and they showed at 8), did a stellar job installing the carpet and even provided trade knowledge on some other jobs I had in process at the house. read more

Absolute disaster. Waste of TIME & MONEY. Contacted Express to replace laminate flooring in small studio Apt at back of my sons house. Salesman brought samples and reiterated over and over that there was no need to move furniture. Said they took care of that. Well pricey, but we thought we'd forgo that in exchange for Good, professional service. Crew that came out was anything but. When they arrived to start taking out old floors I gave them each a bottle of water. They left empty on my bare couch. They did not cover any of the furniture, resulting in everything having a layer of dust over it. They crammed my queen size bed into my small bathroom without covering the countertop or the floor. They just put all the slats from the bed onto my new quartz counter and shoved the queen size mattress against the wall and toilet. No floor covering or cover mattress. To add insult to injury, they felt free to use the toilet and leave disgusting evidence on the floor by the mattress. There is no way I will reuse that mattress and it was less than one year old. We had to bite the bullet, pay the exorbitant restocking fee, pay the overpriced fee for so-called work that was done and cancel the contract. What a nightmare!!! read more

I am replacing some flooring at my house. I see Express Flooring commercials nonstop so I figured I would add them to the list of quotes I would get. What a mistake that was! The salesman that came out was completely unprofessional. We started with a worthless survey. He asked question ls that were scripted and obviously did not apply to my situation. For instance why was I looking for new floors. My old flooring was already torn up, I think that was obvious. As for the budget question, I answered that not even seeing a sample of his product or knowing the price of something I like I wouldn't be able to answer that question. His next question was "did I plan to finance". I again stated that without j owing how much it would cost I'm not sure how I should answer that. At that point the salesman literally looked around the room from where he was standing and says we could do it for $10,000-17,000.00. I was shocked. My house is nice, but it's not mansion needing gold tiles and diamond grout! I said that was more than I wanted to spend for a space the size of 650sf. I explained I didn't plan to be in the house forever and would like to get some return on my investment when I sold the home. I asked to see what samples he had so I could get an idea of prices. He assured me that tile floors add $10,000 in value to the home. So spending $17k to get a $10k return is good???? I don't think so. He got on his iPad and began "crunching numbers." He told me if I got the least expensive tiles, and he gave me every possible discount and really brought the price down as much as he could, he *might* be able to get the price down to $7000! At $7k that comes out to $11/sf. That was almost 3x higher than every other estimate I received. I told him that price was not going to happen either. I pointed out he had NOT measured the space, nor had he shown me any samples at all. Not a single one! He said he did not think he was the company for me, I agreed completely and showed him the door. Total waste of time. What kind of company would give a price without even measuring or showing me products? read more

I picked three stars because I love my finished floors but I had concerns throughout the whole process. The salesman was a slick salesman. He acted like he only had a couple samples in the car. The first day of installation the installers were supposed to be here at 9 am and showed at 2:15 pm. The second day they were supposed to be here at 9 am and showed at 11 am. When I called customer service the lady was unhelpful and rude as hell. It took three days instead of two because the transition strips for carpet to wood were not put onto the truck. Whatever. I wish I would have read any of the reviews before we purchased through Express Flooring. I wanted new carpet so bad that I overlooked all the red flags. I had to call the company 3x to schedule an in-home estimate. After they had to reschedule our first Appt, someone finally showed toward the end of the window of the new Appt. The sales guy just wanted to know what our other quotes were. He showed us three carpets and said that's what's in our budget. Again, I needed carpet in by a certain day, I needed the financing option, and he offered a same day booking discount. I got suckered. I had to go with my 2nd choice color because the first one was on back order. We NEVER were contacted by the company once we made the sale. We had to call to get updates and install dates/times. On the day of install, they ran out of carpet and promised to be back the next day to finish the job. (We were moving in two days later so we needed it done the next day). We didn't get a phone call and no one showed. We had to call at 5pm trying to get an update. They came out at 11am the next day...as the movers were moving our stuff in. The carpet is "fine"...but the seam lines are so crazy obvious. It looks so unprofessional. There are strings coming out all over. The installers also left so much of a mess to clean up. There were carpet bits everywhere. You can bet we were charged right away. Through all the dissatisfaction, not a single apology, offer of a discount, or follow up was made. We've never heard from the sales person since he was at our house. Worst experience ever. read more

When I was deciding to have my house re-tiled, I chose to hire Express Flooring for the job. I signed a contract stating that my furniture would be moved and tile would be placed. I paid a deposit after all the dates were agreed upon. In the early morning on the day of installation, I received a call saying they were cancelling the provided service that day. I rescheduled it a week later. With my house in disarray that week, two men arrived and moved my furniture to install the tile. They did not have the tile with them before coming to my house, so they had to leave, but then never returned. They claimed to have returned, but someone was there the entire day and the installer DID NOT come back. The next day, only ONE man came to install the tile, and it took twice as long as they said it would. I had to hire someone to stay at the house because of the delays. While I was at work, I was told that there was a crack in my foundation. I gave the installer my approval to have it fixed, however he informed me that I needed to pay extra immediately. I called Express Flooring to tell them I was not home to pay the installer, and they said if I didn't pay right then, the man would be removed from the job. I found this to be very threatening. The installer came to my place of work after completing the job. I gave him a cashier's check for the full amount, including the crack repair. I returned home to see that none of my furniture had been moved back as was stated in the agreement and contract. I threatened to complain, and that evening after 6:00 PM, two men came and moved the furniture back. This company was very difficult to deal with. There were multiple miscommunications and it cost me extra because of this. I would HIGHLY recommend for others to seek flooring from another company. read more

Once the salesman got in all he tried to do was get a commitment to spend $40,000 to $50,000 on our flooring. Once he realized we were not interested to spend that much, he wasn't even interested to talk about his 70% off pricing and left without showing us any samples. read more

Let me tell you about what Express Flooring is doing to us.We had a sales rep come to our house January 26. His name is Kevin. We showed him floor samples, sq ft prices & installation prices from other stores that we were considering & asked him what he'd had in that price range.The prices were too high & we told him so. He said the Bonsai floor planks were on a huge sale & he quoted a price of $6000. I asked how many sq ft that was for & he said 1480 sq ft.We said we measured floors & it's 897 sq ft. He said we needed 1480 sq ft because of the cuts.We said there would be Flooring left over. He said we keep whatever was left over. So we divided $6k by 1480 sq ft & cost is $ 4.05 a sq ft.We accepted his offer & paid $2500 on our personal credit card. The $3500 balance was paid on their credit acct with 12 months interest free.Installers came & they brought 974 sq ft.Thats 506 sq ft short of what we paid for. Kevin acted like our sq ft conversation never took place. He lied.Eventually I talked to someone in management that said they would straighten this out & call me back. No person ever called me back.Next day I called Gabe the installation manager.He said he didn't think Kevin would personally find out what was going on & call me back. No person called me.I called Gabe back and he gave me the sales manager Rick Duran ph number.He really didn't want to hear what happened but I forced him to. He offered me $200 off or one box of Flooring. I declined that ridiculous offer. I want my 509.72 sq feet of Flooring worth over $2000! He basically said Kevin didn't do anything wrong. If it isn't written into the contract than Kevin never said it. Ricks voice tone was condescending.I told Rick to cancel the whole contract. They hadn't done any work & we were not going to be forced into paying over $6 per sq ft. He said I can't cancel.I called their finance company & closed the account. I disputed the charge on my card. I do not know why ANYONE would use Express Flooring. I 100% believe all of these reviews because all Express Flooring can respond with is a sales pitch and then a degrading remark to the reviewer, saying either they can't confirm they are a customer, or they are making it up, or that they are flat our liars. Not once is there a sincere apology and an offer to make it right. I luckily ran as fast as possible the one and only time I called them. They want to come out and give an estimate, which is great but they would not come unless my husband was there. According to them they have to have all decision makers there for the estimate because whatever "deal" they will give you is only good for that day. Excuse me. I'm the customer, you can give me the estimate and I should be able to think about it and get back to you. They are totally high pressure sales, they may not get a commission but I'll bet they have a quota of suckers to fulfill. I let them know under no circumstances would I let them come out for an estimate with that attitude. They called me no less than 30 times over the next few months, RUN, don't walk. read more

If I could give them a "no star" I would. The worst carpet was delivered to our house. Part way through the installation they informed us that they didn't have enough carpet and wanted to piece it. No, no way. They also couldn't provide the linoleum in one piece. They planned to make cuts! I told them to take it out. They weren't contracted to do that. I signed a form stating the job was not acceptable. Express Flooring would not come and take the carpet. They said they could get the product in two weeks. TWO WEEKS! We were to move in at the end of the week. We had another company put carpet, QUALITY carpet and linoleum in on time. THANK YOU CARPET PLACE!!! So we were harassed by Express Flooring. They even cut and pasted the form I had signed. We stored their carpet for a year but they wouldn't come pick it up. Now, two years later they're trying to ruin my credit score. Do not use express flooring way over priced. For carpeting you can get it way cheaper with a warranty , also lifetime warranty with laminate flooring. You can go with one of the companies that they hire on the side that do that do the work for half price. They had to come out twice to redo my flooring with in a year. It took them 3 Monet ha to complete the work. Never ever go with salesman first price he will knock it down at least 4 times as cheaper than what he actually prices for. Worst company ever especially the mangers in Tucson. They cannot even return phone calls. Plus they like to lie to their customers. What a joke this company is !!!!! read more

Please what ever you do, do not use Express Flooring. They are a horrible company with which to deal. I purchased carpeting for a rental property I own. When the carpet was installed the installers left a great deal of trash behind them which I had to dispose of. Less than a year later (now) some of the seems in the carpet began to split. I contacted Express Flooring to repair/stretch the carpet as a part of their warranty. Their repairmen came out to my property and claimed the work wasn't covered under warranty and that I'd have to order more carpet to patch the areas needing work. They didn't have the carpet in stock so additional delays would ensue in getting the carpet. After the delay, the carpet arrived in their warehouse and an appointment to fix the carpet was made adding more time to the process. When the carpet repairmen arrived at my property on the date of the appointment, I explained what needed to be done and the repairmen simply said they didn't want to do the repair, dropped off the carpet, and left! (I couldn't even make that up). Now I'm waiting for Express Flooring to have another crew come out and actually do the repair, however they take a tremendous amount of time to return phone calls, so I assume this repair will be delayed further. As of right now we're going on 2 weeks to get this carpet repaired. Express Flooring is simply an awful company with which to deal. They are not worth the time or hassle. Their customer service is terrible, they take a ridiculous amount of time to return phone calls, and they are simply infuriating to deal with. read more

Very unprofessional. Since my husband and I purchased our home 3 years ago we have invested in many home improvement projects: replacing windows, installing awnings, replacing our AC unit, painting the exterior, etc. For each of these projects and several others we have obtained multiple estimates to educated ourselves about the process and costs involved. When we decided it was time to replace the carpet in our home we began the process by scheduling a few different estimates. Yesterday the first estimator came out to our home from Express Flooring. Let me start out by saying scheduling the appointment was quick and easy and the estimator was out at our house the next morning. Normally I would have awarded at least two stars for the ease of scheduling but our experience with the estimator was so uncomfortable and unprofessional I could only give this company one star. The estimator was aggressive from the start and was clearly perturbed when I told him we were not going to sign for carpet that day. My husband and I felt that the carpet samples he showed were poor in quality (as I informed him our budget was $6,000 or less for the four bedroom project). He told us high end carpet would fall in a higher price range - up to $12,000. I imagine that there are families that intend to spend more than we choose to at this time on carpet; however, I was surprised to find his attitude soured so quickly when we outlined our budget for him. Additionally, he did not have with him samples of the standard or updated floor padding that would go under the carpet. At the end of the session when I stated again that we would not be signing a contract that day and needed to discuss our options further he became increasingly rude and argumentative. I felt like I was debating with a stubborn teenager. As he raised his voice, angrily packed up his things, and grudgingly disregarded my thanks for his time my husband intervened asking him to please leave. I have never felt so shaken and uncomfortable in my own home. This was, hands down, the worst experience I have ever encountered with any estimator. My family will never work with this company again and strongly urge others to avoid interacting with a company that encourages this type of aggressive and unprofessional behavior. read more

AVOID this outfit at all costs. We contracted to have a wood floor installed. It was to be glued down. After ripping out the thick carpet and pad, it was obvious that the new wood install would be too low compared to the surrounding floors. We asked the installers if an underlayment would be called for in order to raise the wood to a more acceptable level. They never bothered to call the salesman or home office for any guidance. They continued gluing. Halfway through the job we again voiced our concerns that the installation was not going to look right. We were told it would have tall transitions into the surrounding rooms and it was fine. It wasn't fine. When the floor was laid, we asked for a manager to come look at the job and he argued that some extra tall, custom transition strips would fix the problem. He also mentioned that the baseboards should have been removed prior to installation and weren't and that the installers had laid the wood floor with absolutely no expansion room! It was likely to buckle. Three major issues on one job. We have gone back and forth with Express for over a month trying to be fair and hoping to get the floor problem solved. The suggestions have ranged from tearing up the floor, nailing a new floor on top of the old floor, undercutting the base boards, cutting the edges of the existing floors, settling with the tall transitions and a cheap shoe molding to cover the expansion cuts, or a combination of many of the above. They also broke a custom shutter and left glue on many surfaces. Poor work all around, especially since we asked for and they promised to send their best installers. We have not reached a resolution and have lost use of half of our home for the holidays. At no time did Express admit any error nor offer any apology for the dilemma. The worst part of this is that they now insist that they will not proceed to finish unless and until we pay additional amounts up front to help cover their expenses for their errors!! Unbelievable. They took half of the large payment up front and then and then charged our credit card with the remaining balance, claiming the job was completed. We had to open a credit card case to reverse that charge. We are thoroughly disgusted with this company and their quick and shoddy work and are now filing a complaint with the Arizona Registrar of Contractors as well as the BBB, and suggest that others who have dealt with Express do the same. read more

I had them out to evaluate 11 months after installation and got only a complaint that I need a different vacuum (I had just purchased a new Dyson Animal!). Now almost 3 years with this carpet and still no follow-through. I'm not sure they used the super padding as contracted. The carpet nails stick up in thresholds. I had them come out to fix that. They used sledge hammers to just pound the nails down - didn't check the padding as asked. The owner was supposed to call me 2 months ago - no word yet. The local manager is nice on the phone and sounds sympathetic, but at this point I think it's just a show. The tile work they did was good, although they did not use the grout I contracted for. Do Not Use Express Flooring. You'll notice on their website that they don't have anyplace to submit a review. I strongly suspect they'd be overwhelmed with less than good scores. read more

Where do I start? This is the least ethical company I've ever done business with, and I've been around for 70 years . The "next day start" is not true. Actually, nothing I was told was true. I took off work on the start date and they were a no show. They promised to come the next day and again didn't show. I had ordered both carpeting and porcelain tile. The carpet installation was really good and professional. The tile not so much. Once again a no show without a phone call. I had to once again call the company to find out where the installers were. This is the third day I went without pay to be home for the installation, then a very sloppy job was done that that needed to be repaired. When I tried to cancel the rest of the work, the manager, Henry, refused to give me a breakdown on the charges so I could differentiate between the carpet and tile, since the carpet had already been installed. I was told there would be a $600.00 restocking charge to return the tile. They were returning it to their own warehouse! I am in the process of negotiating with the loan company to reduce the amount paid. Do NOT do business with this company! read more

A coworker used these guys and said they did a good job. I have to agree! They are very reasonably priced and did a really good job. The guys who showed up to do the cleaning were professional, polite, and nice people. I highly recommend the Carpet Police! read more

I think they are the biggest scammers on TV and in the industry. The pushy salesmen or "designers" as they call them are very aggressive with their technics of "today and today only"!!! Not only are they way over priced on thier product but they tried to do the bait and switch on me with the carpet and padding materials. LIFETIME Guarantee HUH I think not. Fortunately this isnt my first time replacing floors in my home so I was spared the headache of times to come with these thieves. I recommend shopping around and sticking with local mom and pop shops and not these bigger coporate idiots. Please do yourself a big favor - DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Salesman was late for appointment, took him 5 hrs to figure out materials and amounts to use then this info was not transferred to the installers so it has been one stupid delay after another. The office executives do not talk with each other and do not share info with each other, 3 people called for my deposit when I gave it to the salesman, installers are here every morning almost on time and even though the office had the amounts of materials needed they did not order the correct amounts, left hand does not communicate with the right. When you call to get a problem solved (and there have been many) you never talk to the same person (oh - I don't handle that area - is the response you get - a game they play - pass you off to another whom passes off to another and it goes on- they take no responsibility) So, again. PLEASE DO YOUSELF A FAVOR AND SAVE YOURSELF MANY HEADACHES - DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - PLEASE! And if they think I am going to pay them in full whenever this project is completed - [because they have broken the contract] - whenever that will be and go thru the hassle of a money order or certified check - they'll get a personal check - they need to think twice or see me in court. Bad experience and a big rip off. Carpet/Vinyl. The sales rep made this sound like a good deal "If you order and pay half now." Pressure. We scheduled them for a week after the order. The installers arrived and started putting a "leveling coat" on the linoleum. It was unfinished when they left but insisted it would be good to go the next day. It was dry the next day so when they showed up we expected the linoleum to be installed. After they measured it, they found there was not enough linoleum for the floor so they began installing the carpet. The pad was the cheapest ever. It did nothing but cover the floor. The installers packed up to leave with the carpet installation unfinished. They had me fill out a "Customer Satisfaction" card. I checked the unfinished job and the fact that I was not satisfied with the work. We called them to come and collect the carpet because we didn't want to deal with them. We promptly cancelled the charge on our credit card. Now, they want the deposit for their work. We had the carpet replaced by a reputable company and have the Express carpet in storage. That "Customer Satisfaction" card was cut and spliced to make it look like I said the job was performed well and I accepted their work. We should have shopped around because they have the worst products and customer service? Not. I urge people to go somewhere else and avoid Express. read more

Don't fall for their sales pitch! Under the guise of completing a survey, we were asked how much we willing to pay instead being told how much the carpet would cost. Implied that we were paying for our furniture to be moved when their ads clearly state that this service will be free. Arranged for an early morning installation which was changed to late afternoon when they called to confirm and then postponed to the next day at the time they should have been arriving. Very inconvenient for the customer. Also want you to pay in advance or will only accept cash or money order on day of installation after accepting a check for half down. The hassle of getting a money order almost always assures you will pay in full before installation so that you have no recourse if anything goes wrong or they change your install date. In general the entire presentation makes you feel as if you've slammed into a price that may or may not be fair. The salesman claims that he does not work on commission but I would guess there is another word they use instead- incentive perhaps. I'm giving them one star because once the installation crew arrived they did a good job. read more
