If you would have asked me when I had my laminate floors installed in June of 2022 if I was satisfied I would have said yes, pricey but I satisfied. Unfortunately I have an issue with my floor right in the middle of the room (seems like one or more of the pieces is defective. Called for an inspection to get the repair done under the lifetime warranty and they tell me it's a limited warranty and they are going to charge me $50 to let me know if they think it's covered under warranty. Mind you I've already sent a picture of the problem. So I'm paying for the inspection and if they want to charge me for the repairs I'm going elsewhere. To be fair I purchased my carpet from Express Flooring a few years ago. I have looked at this crappy job they did for about three years and I still get angry. I desperately needed new carpet so decided to try them. I live in Bisbee but they service this area. A salesperson came out with samples, measured the floors etc. It was like dealing with a used car salesman. We had to haggle over a price, have him call his boss and so forth. The day before installation I moved most of the furniture myself except the couches. ( I was in my late 60s then ) They sent one guy out who arrived like three in the afternoon. He was here for about five hours. Had me help move the heavy furniture. Left a mess out on the street. Left a couch in the hall where I had to climb over it. He returned at a more reasonable hour the next day and resumed work. He ran into a problem where he needed a 2x4 which I provided. Then he said the measurements were incorrect and he would have to put a seam in. I asked what he meant, he explained it and said I wouldn't even notice it. Guess what? EVERYONE NOTICES IT! When he was finished he asked me to sign some papers and he was out the door. I should never have signed the papers. My mistake. Never even did a walk through. Then I noticed the inferior work. No strips over the entry ways between rooms, shredded carpet left exposed, didn't rehang closet doors and damaged the front door handle. Also left a roll of left over carpet on the sidewalk. Naturally I complained about the work and sent a letter and pictures. A gentleman called and wanted to send someone out to fix things. I refused. The job should have been done correctly the first time and I just couldn't deal with them coming back into my home. I have regretted using this company every day since. Expensive and inferior work. If I could afford to rip this carpet out I would. Very expensive mistake on my part. read more

We were scheduled for install on a Saturday. We waited all day to find out around 4 that they couldn't come until Sunday around 8am. Didn't show up until almost 10am without calling to tell us they were on their way. And it was just one guy. Installer only spoke Spanish. After install, we looked at it and saw two large seems in the carpet. Tried calling customer service. Took two weeks to get a return phone call. It's going to be 4 weeks since install this weekend, and no one has come to even look at the seems yet. Our living room furniture is still not in our living room. This sucks! We were excited about finally being able to afford a new floor. We had Express Flooring give us a price of $8,000 dollars. Very expensive for us. We agreed and the floor was installed. The technicians did a very poor job of the installation, the base boards were left with gaps, and one spoke in vulgar Spanish all during the installation. After 11 months the floor came apart. See photos. Inspectors came over and took pictures of the defects. A week later we had to call to find out it was going to take 4 to 6 weeks to a reply from the manufacturer. Meanwhile the floor is an embarrassment. We have lived in our home 12 years, our cheap glue and stick flooring has lasted 12 years and could have lasted longer if we had not been involved with Express Flooring. I have magnetic signs for my truck that say - "BEWARE Express Flooring is a RIP OFF". My red truck with signs with a yellow background indicates - LEMON - with black lettering will be driving around Tucson and Marana. Please don't be disappointed like we are, very frustrating. The tile itself is wonderful. The installation is horrible! Customer Service is nonexistent! I have called several times beginning December 11, 2024, with no response other than to be told I first had to send pictures, which I did even though a man named Jim told me I did not need to. No return calls, no response to my email. The last call I made was on January 16 in which I was told it would be expedited.... Today is January 21, 2025, and still no one has come to look at any of the problems. If I do not get a call to come here and fix the chipped tile, missing grout, uneven grout, etc., by Thursday, January 23, 2025, my next step will be the Better business bureau. Avoid these folks at costs. They installed our carpet in 2016 with "life time" warranty. They charged $1157 for 12 x 18 ft piece of carpet. Well they don't honor that at all, they want receipts of professional cleaning every 18 months.......that was never mentioned at time of installation and not anywhere on any of the paperwork. Second, reached out to them to get carpet retacked dawn after plumbing repair. Called 3 days in a row and talked to Phoenix office because no way to directly call Tucson office. No return calls, so on third day I physically went to their Tucson office to schedule repair. When I get to office 3 people in office not busy at all, such that I ended up having conversation with all three of them. Day of scheduled repair I get call in morning saying appt between 11 - 1....needless to say no one shows up and no phone call.....took 2 phone calls to get thru to Tucson office at 1:50 pm and they say oh sorry he wont be there til between 2-4...... finally showed up at 3:40 pm.....extremely unprofessional and inefficient set up.......will never do business again. Almost impossible to have a repair done. They will charge you a service fee BEFORE they will even schedule a repair. If you a lucky enough to have someone call you back when you leave a message all that person can do is send a message to the scheduling coordinator. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH EXPRESS FLOORING! Three reasons (there a more but...): 1) Exorbitant Profit; We hired them, a job for more than $21,000. Express Flooring will not give you a breakdown of costs. I happen to get my hands on ours. It showed that the estimated gross profit on the more than $21,000 it exceeded $13,851, or 64.9294%. THAT IS HIGHWAY ROBERY! 2) Misrepresentation of employee experience; Express Flooring says all installers have a minimum of 5 years experience and are tested to see what they know how to do before they are hired. 3) Dishonest employees; We discussed specific floor preparation we wanted. The salesperson agreed. When the installation men showed up they did not do ANY floor prep and began laying the underlayment (within 2 hours). My husband asked about the prep and how it could be done already. He was told it had been done. The installer was asked to remove the underlayment so that the floor prep would be visible. Guess what? He lied. Nothing had been done to prep the floor. Exit 1 installer. Next day, a more experienced person was sent, spoke to us about what we wanted. He then went to Home Depot, took some pictures of products, texted me and asked which one...why would a professional, experienced, installer ask - he should know. Would you like to pay for work, be told the work was finished, find out nothing was done? We fired Express Flooring. A sales rep came to the house and provided an estimate for new luxury vinyl plank flooring to go over the existing tile throughout most of my house. I was given a quote that included laying a sub-flooring, which is needed to make the floor even. The day of install, I received a call from the manager who told me that because of the type of tile I had, I needed a special sub-flooring and it would cost an additional $2,000. I went ahead and approved it, although the salesperson should have known. When they laid the sub-floor, they didn't remove the doors in my hall closets, which caused 2 of the 3 closets to be sealed shut. The one that did open showed where the hall sub-flooring had oozed into the closet. They were supposed to complete flooring in the closets. The doors throughout my home that they removed now have scrapes in them that weren't there before, and one of my wooden tables has nicks on the edges. When trying to reach a manager on the phone, you only get the main number and they won't patch you through; they say someone will call you back. Still waiting. The lead on the job that was present was responsive when I reached out to him, but I wanted to speak with a company representative. Let me start out by saying this is not a review of the carpet but the installation. The life time warranty is non existent. We have had our carpeting 2.5 years and were told that stretching the carpeting to remove bad installation and trip hazzards is not included. This is terrible customer service. I know have tripping hazzards in each of my rooms that they installed including my stairs. I would never buy from them if you want a good overall experience and product. We were told by the salesman that there would be an installation consultant available if there are problems, maybe not in person, but by phone. When the 2 installers came, they spoke NO English. They were unsure what they were to do, and we couldn't communicate with them. I called Customer service, advised of our situation and was told the coordinator would call me right back. 4 hours later there was a serious issue and again communicating was a problem. I called again, got the same rep, and she left another detailed message, as well as one for the salesman. It is now 30+ hours later and still haven't spoken to anyone from Express Flooring Tucson. We finally had to do our best by texting and translation. The installers worked hard had to drive clear back to Phoenix because some of the flooring was wrong. I got carpet installed in my living room only. It ended up being super low quality and after a year, it looks 20+ years old. They promised no matting or stains and offer a 50 year warranty. I've only had it for 2 years and as of today I've had a claim in for FOUR AND A HALF MONTHS. The customer service rep, or whatever her title is, promised to get this taken care of quickly. Now, she completely ignores my phone calls with no call backs, and RARELY responds to my emails. Her replies only ever consists of "sorry, no updates." I called Express Flooring for an estimate after firing another contractor who refused to show up. After getting several estimates, I chose Express - their price was competitive and they had just the flooring material I was looking for. We did have to wait for the flooring to be shipped but once it arrived, they did an excellent job of leveling the floor and installing the laminate in my kitchen and water closet. (a) Salesman (not pushy, paid salary) came on time, measured, showed us different designs. He made recommendations. He then asked if we wanted to pay cash (2% discount) or sign up for a payment plan. It was nice he didn't assume we'd need a payment plan. Price was fair, lower than expected. (b) We signed the contract on his computer screen agreeing to two payments, that day we signed, and the day they started the install. We agreed to pay through auto withdraw from savings account. (c) The day they started the install they withdrew the second payment from my checking which didn't have enough to cover it. I complained and they did nothing to remedy it. Meanwhile I had a (figurative) major heart attack when I saw my checking down to zero. The payment was much larger than the funds in my checking. (c) The floor & baseboards they installed are unbelievably beautiful. (d) I will hire them again if I decide to update my ceramic tile floors which they also do. (e) They hire outside contractors who know what they are doing, no having to watch over them, but Express Flooring doesn't allow them to work weekends. They came on a Friday & finished on Monday. We responded to the mailer promising completion by Thanksgiving or free. We haven't even asked for them to honor their commitment and we are getting ghosted. 3 calls to customer service without a single response. Instead of being completed by Thanksgiving we still have all our furniture for 3 rooms in the middle of the rooms waiting for baseboards and today is December 2nd, the baseboards they did install are not even the ones we picked. They charged us to demo a room and just put the carpet over the tile instead, but charged my CC for it. I would recommend reading Reddit experiences, Angie's list reviews as it highly likely based on our experience that this is the type of company that would pay for fake reviews just to get their google review rating up. High pressure sales, using slander and defamation tactics to discourage you from working with other companies (the things our sales guys said about Empire had us very concerned). We were duped into the whole Arizona owned company, you get what you pay for, you need to sign today to guarantee a "by Thanksgiving" completion pressures. If you like paying too much, getting pressured to sign, getting ghosted, getting charged for work not done and having the job never completed, then this is the choice for you. read more

Please do your RESEARCH before you contact this company!!! The bad reviews are exactly what happens when you have any problems as customer service is terrible. I had an installation of the incorrect flooring which I tried to stop while the installers were putting it in. I called customer service and the salesperson. I called 3 times that day and no call was returned. NO call by any customer service or installation was ever returned during that first week!!! I did however get a call, text and email about the balance due on my flooring & installation. The installers completed the installation as they said this was the product that was shown as ordered. It was difficult to communicate the problem as they spoke Spanish. The installers were not the problem, if fact, they were very helpful and gave me the number for their installation co-ordinator to help resolve the situation while they were there. Of course, that person did not answer and the Voice mailbox was full. It was the salesperson who made an error as this was not the product I selected with the salesperson. I had taken pictures of the front and back of product. It has the name of the style, color, size and warranty of the product I chose with an Express Flooring Label. The installers showed me the box label of the product they put in and the color name was the same. The problem was the color that I chose was in the box along with a wide variety of colors. I understand product variance but this is a product that has the wide variance of flooring colors as a style. I was looking to match other flooring in the home and this is very different. After over a week I got a return call and tried to resolve the problem. I was told basically this was the product number put on the contract and this is what they put in so..... After a lot of time talking, I was offered 10% off the contract. I agreed and waited for a corrected invoice. I called, left VMs, and emails. Nothing until...... I wrote a Google REVIEW. Then a call came right away. They needed me to sign an agreement to receive the 10% discount. The agreement basically has you give up all rights to any claims, including warranty of the product, and has a clause that you can't say anything about your interactions with Express Flooring and/or if you have you must make a statement that they have resolved the problem to your satisfaction. I sent an email back that I would not be signing that! Also, the discount they agreed to was 10% off my contract. In the agreement they sent, it actually put in an amount that was less than that. SO maybe work on customer service and math! I paid my bill and lesson learned but please don't let this be you. read more

Received quote & contract, I signed/approved contract, they called to schedule the service and the day before install they contacted me telling that they couldn't do the work at the approved contracted price because corporate office said it was below their profit margin threshold. After I escalated my concerns, their VP apologized and shared that their CEO would not allow them to do the approved/signed project at that price-point (price for project was established by their Sales Rep and placed into the contract). How does a company not honor their own price for a project after a contract is signed by the customer and scheduled. Just terrible customer service and management of the company. We contracted Express Flooring in January. They quoted a 3 day time frame for installation. That stretched into nearly two months, 2 teams, a ton of headaches, additional charges and damage to the appliance that they contracted to move for the installation. We're now going to small claims court because they don't stand behind their installation and they do not live up to their word. Getting them to call you back once they have your money is a feat. And you have to hope that the third party installers they contract and send into your home don't do any damage, because Express will ignore you and try to hide from compensating you. It was time to replace our carpet. We chose gold tinted commercial carpet to be GLUED to the floor. I am confined to a mobility scooter, The installers arrived, ripped out my old carpet and began to lay tack strips and I said I am to have my carpet glued down. My wife and I had gone into the AZ room so as to be out of the way. They blocked us in with our furniture. They had gone to get glue. My wife and I called 911 to come get us out of the AZ room after 2.5 hours. THEN they brought in BLACK carpet. Five days later they finally brought half way acceptable carpet and PIECED it together. They wanted to come out and give me an estimate. I said I wanted to know if they had the product before I wasted my time having having someone come out. The person I talked to said they were sure they could have something similar but wouldn't say whether or not they carried Bruce.
