I worked for chris swanson the owner of this company. He was my father's roommate in college at west chester. He hired me and made me work with a drunk employee who then injured me while he was drunk with a fork lift. And chris tells me not to go to workman's comp and to trust he will take care of me. He then fired me about a month after, and never gave me any money. Also most of your stuff probably is highly radioactive because they store people's things next to retired medical gear that was deemed too radioactive for the dump. read more

This was an outstanding 90 minute event for us that wasn't even an external move, but rather moving a lot of stuff up from the basement, repositioning furniture around room to room and moving a lot out to the curb. Still not an easy job as it required moving a heavy as heck convertible sofa upstairs, around a right angle staircase where bannisters and doors needed to be removed and reinstalled. Owner Chris arrived with a 3 man crew that were very careful, courteous and kind. All this at a price we thought quite fair. We used this company when we moved in 25 years ago and one day years from now we'll certainly use them again. We recommend them unequivocally. read more

Do NOT use this company. They didn't bring the right size truck so we had to make several trips. This made the moving day, which is stressful enough, even more stressful and about 2-3 hours longer than it should have been. The owner was extremely rude to me on the phone during the process and even cursed at me. He called and apologized the next day but it was too late. I would never use them again. read more

Yelp confirms that there are a real lot of crappy and unreliable movers out there. Well friends, this ain't one of them. Punctual, honest, fair and competitive, all qualities you need to look for when hiring a mover. We used them for about a 30 mile move and couldn't have been happier. I used these guys not once, but went back for a second time to give them another chance, and HUGE mistake! They complained about working the entire time, constantly took breaks, and destroyed my property, scratched my floors, and worst of it all they stole irreplaceable valuable jewelry. I recently used Wayne movers to move from a 6 bedroom house to a townhouse. The quote was for four men and two trucks. They came in lower on the bid then the two other movers we priced. On the day of the move two trucks and four men showed up but they called in another two men to help. We had a lot of heavy furniture that was hard to move and they did it without a problem. I offered to buy them lunch but they worked straight through and the bill came in under estimate quite a bit. I used them twenty years ago with the same results. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. The team was incredibly late, the price was over $250 the originally quoted price and my furniture was damaged. They damaged my mirror, my dresser and My desk was so damaged it fell apart when I placed a book on it. The movers took 2-3 smoke breaks during the move and then when we arrived at my new apartment somehow half of the guys had left and it took twice as long to move me in, which they charged for. Additionally while I was unpacking all I could smell in all of my clothes was cigarette smoke. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this company. read more

I purchased beautiful teak bedroom furniture from a FL retailer, and had it shipped to NJ. The retailer said that there would be some assembly of the platform bed; and also their shipping included only curbside drop off. So I hired Wayne Moving & Storage to pick up the furniture at the Secaucus depot, bring it to my home and assemble headboard and platform bed. The technicians were extremely skilled and did an excellent job. They were professional, efficient and pleasant. They really excelled; and I highly recommend them for any type of moving job. read more

I worked for chris swanson. I got a bulging disc from a work accident because chris decided to let a drunk man work at his warehouse. I was injured by the drunk dropping a pharmaceutical incubator and having me pick it up with him. chris knew he drank on the job and already had 2 warnings. I was supposed to be put on light duty because that is what my doctor recommended to me. chris told me not to go to workers compensation because he would take care of me and pay for my medical bills. chris did not tell me to see workers compensation doctors. He purposely deceived me and hurt me worse by having me move things like a 500 pound fireproof safe on my own. He had me move radioactive materials deemed to be too toxic to be disposed at the trash yard or any dump. He resold them to people after taking off the stickers labeling them as radioactive through a company called dovebid. He then laid me off after I asked for a raise which was discussed at the beginning of my being hired. After months of moving things while I was supposed to be on light duty my bulging disc turned into two herniated discs and now my medical problems have become more complicated. chris swanson is the owned and ceo of wayne moving and storage. read more

Rip Off Artists! Stay away from Wayne Moving & Storage Co/Inc to stay sane! Zero star was not an option, that's why they have this one star. The owners are absolutely very dishonest people. They claim they provide exceptional service, but the way they carry your belongings lacks care and professionalism. First, they damage your items by not using any kind of protection. No blankets, no wraps...they do the cheapest job with the highest pay. When you are shocked to see that all your investment has gone, they say they will cover your damages at the scene. They even rob your furniture, and kindly call it "losing." In reality, they hire their men as inspectors, and tell you it was YOU who damaged his/her own furniture (why because you must be a psycho who will first ruin her furniture and then pay thousands of dollars to move the ruins), and they reject paying you back. Then, they sleep tight at night after stealing people's money with this ongoing dishonest trick. They ruined every piece of our furniture, it is like a nightmare! I hope what goes around comes around!! I really pray that the owners of this company will find what they deserve soon. If you don't have money to waste while moving, stay away from Wayne Moving & Storage Co. PS They are partners with Atlas Moving, and they've the lowest rate all around. read more

If I could give one star I would 3 year after using them I still look at damage to a brand new washer and dryer as well as bunk beds just plan awful- workers asked for beer from my cooler and over charged after the move was done when my husband gave them a small tip the one got in his face very hostile like he was going to hit him thank god my husband is a cop- they were all criminals!!! read more

Wow I'm actually shocked at some of these ratings and reviews. I had nothing but a positive experience from them. They actually came 5 minutes earlier than anticipated they were professional and courteous went over and beyond to make my move as comfortable as possible. I would highly recommend them. My parents hired Wayne Moving and Storage to move them out of state in 2016. Me being in the real estate business and working with movers and recommending them in another state I thought I would ask the owner some questions beforehand. I asked if they used the same, experienced people for every job and I wanted to make sure they didn't hire anyone who wasn't experienced packing, etc. Well when the furniture, paintings, furnishings were delivered to their new retirement home many things were damaged to the point that they had to hire someone to do repairs. It cost them over $2000 to get most things fixed. Some items were not repairable. My moms home has always been gorgeous; antiques, marble, nice paintings, etc. This was extremely disappointing. We got the form to file a claim but my dad never submitted it to them because he doesn't like causing problems. The only reason my dad hired them was because they advertised in their church weekly bulletin. Not the way to hire someone. Get a referral from someone reputable! Very disappointed. read more
