20 yr old Goodman 10 SEER AC condenser
    Darrell D.

From searching on Yelp and Home advisor we decided to request quotes from multiple businesses. Will contacted me within minutes of requesting a quote through yelp. He responded with a much more reasonable quote than all the other competitors. We decided to go with Express Heating & Cooling to replace our inefficient 20 yr old AC condenser and 40 yr old furnace. Will was in constant communication with me and answered all of the questions I had. He wasn't pushy like some of these other companies. He made recommendations based on what our needs and requests were. Will followed up with me the day before installation and also updated me 30 min prior to his ETA the day of. Will and Alex arrived with all equipment ready to go . They were very professional, courteous, and respectful of the Covid19 distancing protocols. I showed them the locations of the units to be replaced and they hit the ground running. They hauled all of the old equipment away, dropped in the units, and cleaned the area thoroughly. I mentioned that my wife and I suffer from allergies. They made a great suggestion to add the iwave ionic air purifier and it does not disappoint! The air feels fresh and so clean. So glad we decided to get it and it was so worth it. We woke up refreshed and energized from a full nights rest in what seems like forever. Sky was an outstanding technician sent by All City. He arrived quickly, diagnosed the issue…read moreefficiently, and was honest throughout the entire process. I really appreciated that he gave me several options to consider instead of pressuring me into one solution. What impressed me most was how clearly he explained everything. Since I know very little about how HVAC systems work, he broke it down in a way that was easy to understand--almost like he was teaching an elementary school student, but in the best way possible. He was patient, knowledgeable, and incredibly skilled. Thank you, All City, for sending someone with Sky's expertise and valueto my home. He's a true asset to your team, and I highly recommend both him and All City!

We hired this company to repair a water leak and replace our water heater. While the leak itself…read morewas eventually fixed and the job did ultimately pass every city inspection, the process took about a month longer than it should have and cost us real time, stress, and lost work -- issues we feel other homeowners should know about before hiring. Work began July 5th with tank removal and drywall demo by Collen S. and his partner. The next day, they repaired the leak by replacing about 6 feet of PEX line, and a subcontractor patched the drywall. About 20 minutes after the patch was done, Collen S. told us the new water heater install was good to go. We specifically asked whether a permit was needed -- for both the leak repair and the water heater install -- and Collen S. and his partner told us twice that day that it wasn't. We requested one anyway. That turned out to matter a great deal. On July 14th, Collen S. gave us only about 30 minutes' notice before the inspector arrived, even though we had asked him to give us a day in advance so we could request time off work to be present. The inspector arrived anyway, and when we asked directly, he confirmed that both the water heater installation and the PEX line replacement had been done without the required permits -- meaning both jobs were effectively illegal until they could be properly permitted and inspected. This flatly contradicted what Collen S. and his partner had told us twice on-site. The next day, we called the company's manager, Steve, and raised three concerns: the contradictory permit information, the last-minute inspection notice, and our request for a different crew going forward. On July 21st, a new tech, Michael, introduced himself, and the City of Eastvale inspected the drywall repair. The city did not approve it and required the wall reopened for a mold check. Michael returned that same day to reopen it. On July 27th, the city inspected inside the wall, confirmed no mold, and approved the space to be patched and the water heater reinstalled. Drywall repatching happened August 3rd, and the final inspection closed everything out August 6th -- roughly a month after the leak repair began. On top of the permit issues, we were also pressured more than once to buy add-on services unrelated to our leak. Collen S. showed us "dirty" pipes at least twice in what felt less like genuine advice and more like an attempt to play on our emotions to drive a commission-based sale of a whole-house filtration system. He also pushed a full home re-pipe on separate occasions -- again, unrelated to what we'd actually called about. To be fair, the leak repair itself was solid, the city inspectors were thorough, and the job ultimately passed every inspection with no mold found. But getting there cost us two additional days off work -- one for the re-inspection that was only necessary because permits weren't pulled correctly from the start, and one for the wall re-closing after the unapproved drywall job had to be reopened -- plus significant back-and-forth to sort out miscommunication that should never have happened. We're hopeful the company will work with us to make this right, since the repairs themselves held up -- it was everything around them that fell short. A crew not knowing (or misrepresenting) basic permit requirements, and using emotional pressure tactics to upsell unrelated services, are things we don't think any customer should have to tolerate -- and we'd encourage this company to address both with its technicians directly. Because of the permit miscommunication that left our repairs technically illegal for over a week, the last-minute inspection scheduling, the repeated upselling pressure, and the extra days off work it all cost us, we cannot recommend this company.

It's rare to see consistent five-star ratings from multiple customers, so I expected to find at least a few less-than-perfect experiences. After working with Chris, my expectations were completely overturned. He was exceptionally thorough, professional, and respectful throughout the entire process. What stood out just as much as his expertise was his honesty. He took the time to clearly understand the issue with my air-conditioning, explained what he found in a straightforward way, and offered a solution that made sense without unnecessary complications. Even better, he handled the situation efficiently and charged me nothing for the fix. That level of integrity is truly uncommon, and it left a strong impression. If you're looking for someone knowledgeable, dependable, and genuinely trustworthy, I highly recommend Chris.

I contacted several HVAC companies because one of my AC units was not working properly. The fan…read morewould stop running after about five minutes. Several companies told me that the main problem was likely the compressor and, because my unit is more than 20 years old, my only option was to replace the entire system at a cost of approximately $14,000. They also told me that the necessary compressor parts were no longer available. Then I contacted Chris at HVAC & Chill. Unlike the other companies, he was willing to give me a general price range for a possible compressor repair over the phone. I decided to have him come out for a free diagnostic. To my surprise, Chris determined that the compressor was actually fine--the problem was with the fan. After addressing the issue, the unit began working properly again. He potentially saved me from unnecessarily replacing an entire AC system. My other AC unit was also having problems, and Chris was able to replace the capacitor for about one-third of the price other companies had quoted me. I also had the opportunity to ask Chris about his business philosophy. He told me that he believes in practicing honesty and integrity. He admitted that he had not always approached the industry this way, but becoming a father and having children changed his perspective. He also believes in karma--that when you do good and treat people honestly without expecting anything in return, good things eventually come back to you, often many times over. I am truly grateful for Chris's wisdom, honesty, and integrity. I understand that my 20-year-old AC unit will eventually need to be replaced, but when that day comes, I already know who I will call.
