Update 6/4/2026: I had a very long conversation with senior leadership at the company, multiple times after my initial review. Here is what came of it: 1) Every person in leadership was very apologetic and wanted to make it right. 2) The ceiling was repaired and you can't tell there was ever an issue with someone damaging the ceiling, so great job in the repair and making it right. 3) Senior Leadership apologized profusely. 4) AC Pro was partly to blame for the long install time because they had made a change to the X-Series and did not update their website or HVAC companies who sell their product. Shame on A/C Pro for the failure. 5) The issues of no booties in the house, the folks who returned were pretty good about it. 6) The restroom issue, that was addressed by leadership with their installers and maintenance employees. 7) The overflow drain pipe issue was fixed. The initial installer did not drain to the primary, so that was the issue. The company came back, fixed it, then came back again to check on the quality and cleaned up the fix (I trust the 3rd guy, he was top notch transparent and has years of experience doing high quality work....thank you Dean). 8) Leadership apologized profusely, have I mentioned that enough? I can't describe the level of anguish they felt for the issues that came with my job. 9) To anyone reading this, expect an a/c replacement job to take anywhere from 2-3 days. Don't expect a 1 day job, ever. Build that knowledge into your planning of time off to be around when they are doing the job. At the end of the day, Sheldon's turned out to be a great company. While there are continued kinks in folks learning about how to be the best installer/repair guy, I can tell you they all care about their quality and want to do right by their customers. Finally, they have still kept me as a customer, so if any of this review means anything, they proved to me why they are one of the best in the game when it comes to customer satisfaction. Update: 5/20: The job was completed by 8pm on 5/19. 1st night, no issues. 2nd night, found water dripping out the emergency drain pipe (video included). Now I have to find time I don't have to get this resolved. In 12 years in my home, never once has my system hit the overflow drain pipe, adding to my frustration with this install. Steven tried to call me at 3:30pm to discuss this review, but did not answer when I called at 5pm when I got off work. Also, noticed the water shutoff valve that was temporarily turned off, the guy who turned it back on never put the cover back on. Original review 5/19/2026: I am currently (5/18, 5/19, and counting) having a full HVAC replacement, outdoor unit, indoor unit, a return installed in my master closet, upgraded to a 2-Zone system. 1) Install is not done after Day 1 them being here from 10:18am - 9:30pm. I was told it was a 1 day job....but after research, that is not true. 2) I had to work from home on the 2nd day to be here for the continued install. I they got here at ~8am and as of 5:30pm, they are still here will no end in sight. 3) I have not received any communication about when it will be done. Only when I inquired about item 4, did I get some communication. 4) Damaged my ceiling and I suspect the also damaged the pex causing a leak. They did get someone out here to fix the leak, but that guy came and left with no communication. They did shut off my water in the am of the 2nd day, but had to go about 4 hours without the ability to use the restroom in my own home. 5) One guy in particular used the restroom multiple times and never washed his hands. Gross. 6) They did tape up plastic to try and protect from dust and debris, but it fell down and now have dust and debris all over the items in our closet. 7) Overheard one guy say he doesn't install the AC Pro X Series, so it sounds from his own words and what I've been hearing the last 2 days that these guys don't know what they are doing. 8) On Day 1, they left my side gate wide open when they left. 9) They broke one of my tree branches and didn't remove it, instead just left it hanging. 10) Everyone has been nice, just incompetent. 11) I paid for 2 Ecobee units and the installer didn't know that, so had I not asked when they would install the 2 unit, they would have left the Nest in the hall and the new Ecobee in the Master bedroom. WHY ON EARTH would I want to be on 2 platforms for a dual zone system? Common sense is lacking and definitely basic questions aren't being asked on their part. If you're the owner, please reach out to me. I have heard great things about this company, but so far, have 0 reason to be impressed. We have family who have given you a lot of business the last 15-20 years, so I would recommend we come to a resolution on this. read more

I needed a sewage line replaced. A large tree root had grown and pinched the line. My friend dug down to the pipe after a horrible Roto rooter company came out and charged me $7k to basically do nothing but keep upsale me and tell me my only option was a $19k sleave. I told them i was getting a second opinion since i was already $7k in the hole. So my friend dug down exposed the sewage line and cut out the root. I didnt know Sheldon's did plumbing. I only ever used them for my A/c repars and maintenance plan and I recommend them for that too. But the plumber came out and did a quick fix on my sewage line and put in 2 clean outs there aswell for 5 times as less as what the previous roto company was charging me. Sheldon's made this terrible experience super easy and quick. Literally called and they came out fast that day to look and the next day had it fixed. The guy who did my job was really good at listening to my frustrations and didnt mind me hovering to watch since my last experience with the roto rooter company left me untrusting. First let me say that I would have left a 1 star review, except I did have a positive experience with this company back in Oct 02025. At that time I had them come out for a backed up mainline. This is a ritual with my house that occurs about every 18 months due to root intrusion. Its an annoyance, but the house is 75 years old. When Sheldon's came out, they ran a small snake in the pipe enough to get the water draining. Immediate problem solved for $75 or so. They gave me a quote for $9200 for a mainline replacement. I know that a mainline replacement is the best solution, but $9200 just isn't in my budget at this time. Today the main backs up again. No problem I think, I'll just call Sheldon's. After sitting on hold a few minutes, I'm told they won't come out because an issue was identified on the last visit. Please note that they didn't clear the roots, and didn't run a camera. Now I understand that $75 was an introductory/ new customer price and that this visit would be substantially more, but a flat refusal to come at all? I'm thinking that customer service isn't their priority at all, just big dollar projects. read more

What an absolutely amazing company to work with!! I would highly recommend Sheldon's Heating & Air to anyone looking to replace their HVAC system. I replaced my complete HVAC system in October 2023. Our downstairs AC broke down during a heat spell a month or two earlier and I called a number of companies for quotes to repair or replace. From the very first interaction with Zack, who came out to the house to review our needs and work up a cost estimate to the 6-month maintenance check-ups, the installers (Dean and others), technicians (Victor, Joser, Anthony, and Ivan, to name a few), and their office staff (Cheyenne and Regina) have been on-time, professional, friendly, efficient, and very helpful. It was my AC system that failed, but I decided to replace the entire HVAC system due to the age of the system. Also ended up redoing some duct work to the master bedroom to improve air flow. However, I never felt that Zack was trying to upsell me or tell me to replace something that I didn't need or want to. If there was ever an issue, they would make every attempt to fix and make it right. I signed up for their maintenance plan and I would get a call from the office to schedule the next appointment, without me even thinking about it. Price was reasonable, not the cheapest, but not the most expensive either. Their service though, has been exceptional. I replaced my upstairs HVAC system a few years prior using a different company, it's been night and day regarding responsiveness and service. Appointment set and the technician did show up at our tenants business. He told the tenant he knew what was wrong but needed to get approval. The technician had our phone number but didn't call. We tried calling him twice and left messages but no answer. We called the direct line to the business and explained we wanted to find what needs to be done so we can approve the repair and get cold air for our tenant. No return calls from anyone and here we are 36 hours later and our tenants employees still need to work in a hot office. Thankfully the tenant know we're doing all we can to get this fixed. In addition we asked this vendor multiple times to inspect all of our properties and set up an annual service for them. 5 months later they have only inspected 2 of the 6. As I read this I'm thinking many would ask "why do you still use them?" And with that I said we'll have to take another look and see if we might be better served by another vendor. read more

I called Sheldon because one of our thermostats did not come back on after a power shutoff. Sheldon sent a technician (Edgar) the next day and he was able to diagnosis the problem quickly and get the thermostat back up and working (along with the heat!) with no charge no us because the work was under warranty. Not a good experience. They did the wrong work that did not repair our problem. They didn't take any responsibility and just offered a new solution that meant spending more money and replacing our unit which was another 15k when we already paid over 7k. We contacted our credit card company and they actually refunded our money back . Sheldon's then went ahead and sent our landlord a letter threatening to file a lien against the building, this forced us to pay even though the work they performed did not resolved our issue. We also then found out Sheldon's never filed the appropriate permits , they did the work in May and filed the permit In July because without that permit they could not file the lien. They were all about making money for theirselves. Sheldon's charges 3.5% if you use a Credit Card. Something other companies don't. We had to replace the unit with another company and it was 5k less than what Sheldon's originally quoted us. We also got a bigger unit. Sheldon's is overpriced and doesn't stand by their work, I would recommend to look elsewhere. read more

I had a complete AC system installed (and I mean everything) I included an additional Airdrop in the Living Room to be installed (which helps cool the main living area quicker). they did a great job, and the installation was done in ONE day. I had upgraded the system to put out more AC too. A 2-year service contract came with this installation. Anything that could be improved the techs did on the service. The manager, Art, came out to review a small error a tech made. All was corrected within 24 hours. I had an emergency with the A/C not working in my unit and making a loud noise. I called for service and they came out the same day and fixed the problem! Victor worked on it and used his ladder to access the roof and put in a new compressor. He is very reliable and calls you to explain everything and answer any questions. This is a very good company and I recommend them. Just be aware that they do charge an extra 3.5 percent to put it on a credit card and they don't let you pay on line. read more
