Installation Trauma…read more I was extremely disappointed by the service provided by Carpet One Floor and Home located in Jacksonville Beach. First, the installers were more than one hour late. Second, the lead installer wanted me to sign the completed work order before the work was completed. The door was not hung, the furniture was returned, and I had not inspected the installation. After calling the salesperson, the installers begrudgingly hung the door and returned the furniture. The lead installer stated, "I've done my good deed for the day." I was confused because my installation included furniture removal. After the installers left, I noticed dirty handprints left on my doors which I had to clean. Thirdly, upon their arrival I asked the installers to wear a mask. I could overhear one installer say "Are we still doing that?" Fourth, when I tried to vacuum the rug it was extremely difficult to push my vacuum over the carpet and the vacuum basket was full of carpet shedding. When I called the sales person she indicated that was normal. When I read the warranty pamphlet I found that this carpet required a specific vacuum due to its soft strands. A regular vacuum could damage the strands. Finally, the manager left a voice message apologizing for being late, failing to address the behavior of the installers. When I phoned the sales manager to discuss this matter and my experience, he never returned my phone call.

They have farm fresh eggs most of the time. Good prices for dog food right about 20.00 or a little more for show time red. My dogs do great on that food they seem to like it, and it's a world cheaper then blue buffalo. I'm glad we found this store we save a lot on our animal feed here.

Mulch & More…read moregenerously donated 6 cubic yards of mulch for a landscaping project at the Sanctuary on 8th Street that transformed its grounds from an eyesore to something beautiful for the children that go there. Mulch & More delivered the mulch right on time on short notice and the driver was very skillful in dropping it right where it was needed. We even had a couple come to our house for estimates. Both were more interested in telling me what granite I wanted and how I needed to buy from their "preferred" distributor than in listening to me and my wife. I was very unhappy with both of them and knew there had to be a better company in town. I ran across Jacksonville Countertops on both Yelp and here on Google reviews and EVERYONE had great things to say about Chris and his team. My first meeting with him went great, he was courteous and professional and gave me a price THOUSANDS less than the other installers. One had calculated that we required four slabs of granite and was charging me for 164 sq/ft. When Chris measured it, he came up with 114 sq ft and required only three slabs!! Seriously, is that that much abuse in this industry? Do they think that homeowners cant calculate square footage? Chris didn't leave my house before I agreed to hire him. His reviews were fantastic, his price was the best, and we hit it off like we had known each other for years. When he returned a few days later to take measurements, he had the latest and greatest laser measuring system. Gone are the days of the old wooden templates. I was quite impressed and immediately felt even more comfortable that I had hired the right guy. Installation went smooth, he and his crew did it all in one day with perfect fit and finish everywhere. We couldn't be happier with the service, quality and the end result. We are doing my daughters kitchen soon and without a doubt, we will be using Chris and his team. My advice: Go to Granite Depot on Phillips Hiway and choose your slabs, they have the best selection in town. Then call Chris and let him take it from there. You will not regret it!
