I had an EXTENSIVE amount of brakes work done on my Nissan Altima back in 2023: Front and back rotors, discs and pads all replaced. Granted my car is 13 years old so it was time for some brake work. I came in since the brakes would squeak every time I reversed. Car ran fine and give or take a few months into it, I heard the reverse brakes squeak again. I took it for review and was advised this is common for older cars especially in the mornings. I hardly drive my Altima since I work from home. Just got back from a road trip and the squeaky began again. This time, I took it for a second opinion: Nissan Dealership in Round Rock: They advised me all rotors, discs and pads will need to be replaced again. I advised them I had all that work done before. Unfortunately, the rotors were discolored due to contamination from packing protection oil prior to installation. I called Express Oil change and spoke with Tony. Since its been more then 12 months since the brakes were done, there was nothing that can be done. Tony also stated this could be caused from going through car washes and the solutions they use can stick to the brakes causing further harm. DON'T GO HERE FOR BRAKE WORK. A simple inspection I called the store while I was waiting I can hear the phone ringing then they mute it. I think it's time to start going to Firestone up the road. I had a 10 a.m. appointment at Express Oil Change for spark plugs and ignition coils but wasn't seen until close to 2 o'clock, even though walk-ins were helped before me. My car sat for hours with little to no work being done, and I kept getting conflicting stories from different employees about timing and what was supposedly being done. They took hours just to produce an estimate and tried to upsell me to a $1,300 package when only one coil was misfiring. After I clarified, they still tried to charge me for parts I never authorized or received. One employee even misrepresented basic information about the parts. Between the long delays, contradictory explanations, pressure to upsell, and attempts to bill for unauthorized items, the service was unacceptable. read more

Went for my regular maintenance. First express in PVille came highly recommended and I have been going there for 7-8 years. Two vehicles. Service is subpar now. I drove away and the plate under my car was not fastened properly of at all and crumpled like an accordion. The manager DID come out because I could not Drive due to it under my vehicle. New vehicle :( 1) when i first was told to pull away - the guy in the pit started yelling when I started the car :( 2) one would assume he'd finish the job properly - nope 3) Eric/manager did remove the destroyed plate however I had to ask how this would be rectified. 4) a few hours later Eric calls without identifying himself and asking for another name - smh 5) I live in Kyle so this was a second round trip to have the new plate reinstalled 6) I was told Shane is no longer there - and he was amazing with anything having to do with service 7) on return - I was told corporate was there - imagine if they were no 8) I was also told the guy in the pit had only been there two months! "He's a little jittery". There are no quality control checks with regard to what they do under your car And not one person offered a coupon or car wash or any customer service apology for having to come all the way back. read more

It's rare that I'm impressed instantly especially when it comes mundane services such as getting an oil change. Originally I had made an appointment at the dealership to get an oil change but they told me it would take about 2 hours minimum and honestly who has time to wait around for that? I searched on yelp locally and Express Oil Change came up as one of the more highly rated places. As I pulled into one of the empty lanes, I was immediately greeted by a nice gentlemen name John. I told him I needed an oil change and he said it would take about 10 minutes and that was in fact true. He swapped out my engine filter, topped off my washer fluids, and checked the cabin filter as well. And since it was my first visit, he took off $15 of the services. Went in for a quick flat repair and rotation. Let me tell you something. I've lived in some of the areas with the most expensive cost of living in this country and have never paid more than $20 for a flat repair. I paid $30 here. I told him I called and was told it came with 1 more quart than he quoted. He checked and came back and miraculously my now still took 2 quarts more than what they included. The thing that really irritates me is that I sat there for an hour before I got into the bay. They started to check me in and then I was told they were out of my oil?? Yesterday I was driving past there when I noticed that one of their employees (Charles) was walking past my car and he asked me to roll my window down. He told me that something in the front of my car was dragging on the ground and that if I had the time to pull into the shop. I have come here a couple of times now, and my experience with the staff and their services to my vehicles have been great so far. Each technician has explained to me about my car's maintenance in detail. When I brought one of my vehicles in for an inspection, they explained about how my serpentine was going to be needing replacement soon. And they were right since my vehicle has 108k miles on it. Their hourly rate for working on your vehicle isn't too bad compared to most places. Definitely cheaper than what the dealership is willing to charge me on maintenance of my vehicle. I like how they offer full synthetic oil. They us Valvoline and Mobile One Full Synthetic oil. They did explain to me that I can bring my own oil of my choosing if I wanted to and I would be just charged for the labor. They offer coupons and military discounts to active duty and veterans. I've been here many times. It can be hit or miss at times with this business, but for the most part they perform good service. They are usually friendly and frequently quick with an oil change or inspection, but there've been times I've had to wait a frustratingly long time, with the vehicle sitting in the bay, just for the oil change to be completed. But, this is pretty much the world we live in nowadays. I usually try to make my visits during slower times. I still go here, but mostly out of convenience. Went for a quick oil change today 1/7/19 it was even quicker than I would have expected. I was in and out in 17 minutes. I was helped by Ben who was very helpful. He offered upgrades which I usually always decline. He was not pushy at all. He showed me both the inside and outside filters as I watched in my car. I love that part of the service. Both were very in need of replacement which I did. He also gave me an estimate of what a full service would cost for a tune up. I trust him which in my case is a great thing. I thought I had left a previous review for this location, but it must've slipped my mind. I visited this location months ago for an oil change. I also had some filters replaced as they needed to be. I wish I could remember the gentleman who assisted me during my first visit. He was extremely friendly and talked me through what they were doing. At the end of the service, I attempted to present a coupon I had, but he gave me a better one to use to save me more money. During my visit yesterday, I popped in just because I was in the area and because my oil change was 2000 miles over due. I did meet with a different gentleman. I did not notice his name tag and so I cannot say who he was. He had me pop my hood and showed me what the oil looked like. I was expecting him to tell me how awful it looked since I was overdue, but instead he told me it looks very good. I saw it, and it did look rather brand new. In fact, he told me that he'd be ripping me off if he went through with the change. It was unnecessary to have the oil changed and so he sent me on my way. I have to say I appreciate the honesty. I have never had any other location ever tell me that I didn't need my oil changed. That's not to say that others have lied, but he could have very well just changed it and I may not have even noticed. I absolutely recommend this location. If they're all as honest as this one man was, then it's absolutely worth the visit. You want to trust the people working under your hood. You want to trust that they're not going to start making things up and telling you that you need this, that, and the other when you don't. So, been getting my oil changes here for my 45th Anniversary Limited, edition Camaro, SS. They have always been excellent, quick, & very affordable . Had an issue with my alignment after it was supposed to be fixed at a collision shop. The collision place didn't do a great job, but offered to pay for it to have it fixed anywhere else as that would be quicker. I chose Express Oil Change because I trust them.. they didn't disappoint! These guys are the only people I will use to get my oil changed. They're always fast, not pushy with the filter thing, and the best part? If you get freaked out like I do about driving into the bay. They will drive it in for you if you ask! That actually is the selling point for me. They also take care of little things you need to have fixed. I checked online and went to book an appointment yesterday for this morning, and the reply was "no appointment needed, come on in." Arrived at 8:00am and only one car ahead of me in lane for my bay. All service crew were wearing masks and taking proper Covid precautions. While waiting in my car a tech took my info and the work request. 10 minutes later I drive in and tech A.J. walked me through the procedure. I never left my car, was given great details and my questions were answered as well. I never felt like I was being given a "hard sell" on anything. 15 minutes later I was told the details of everything that took place with the oil change including fluid and belt checks, all lights checked, instrument panel checked, filters checked, etc. All at a fair price AND they give a military discount. Had my fiancé take my car in for a scheduled oil change, tire rotation, and inspection. Simple stuff. First I was told that the car wouldn't pass the inspection because of a damaged stud. Totally cool. I understand. I ask my fiancé to hand her phone to the tech at the desk so we can talk about the damage. Now all of a sudden the car can pass the inspection. Hmmm. Okay. I get the car back and everything seems fine (except for paying $125 for the service). Then I notice on one wheel I have three different sized lug nuts. Pretty sketchy so I went ahead and checked the tightness of all of the lugs and half weren't even hand tight. Wouldn't recommend going here. I just had to update my review and say that I just went to Express Oil Change again and had the best experience imaginable. My car had been burning oil and I'd deduced that the CPV valve needed changing. I brought it the part, which was wrong (thanks Autozone) and the technician walked me over to the parts store next door and got a new part and hose (the old one cracked when it came off.) Their service was fast, professional and personable. I wish I could remember the name of the guy who helped me. (He's the one with the 150lb tortoise in his backyard.) He was the best ever. I really appreciated him going the extra mile for me. I will certainly bring my car back for oil changes and minor repairs.
