0 stars. I am extremely disappointed with the service I received at Take 5 #1209 in Round Rock. I had an oil change performed on 4/13 by technicians Charlie and Landon. When I returned to Take 5 #0206 in Pflugerville on 8/12 for my next service, Luke and Joe showed me that the dipstick was not fully inserted and there was no oil showing on it. They also showed me oil splattered throughout my engine compartment and that the plug/cap that should have been replaced had not been replaced. They used Take 5's coolant testing tool and showed me that my coolant required a flush, despite the 4/13 service documentation stating it had been checked and was safe. I contacted corporate on 8/13 and again on 8/18 after receiving no response from the Round Rock location. I was told each time to wait 48 hours for the district manager. I have also continued trying to contact the Round Rock location directly, but have received no response. As of 8/22, no one has contacted me. I feel taken advantage of as a customer because I trusted Take 5 to properly service my vehicle. I did not believe I needed to get out of my truck and independently inspect the dipstick or the work performed, especially when Take 5 advertises a "Stay In Your Car" service. I trusted that the employees performing the service would properly complete and verify their work. This is my daily vehicle, and I need to ensure there are no issues or damage resulting from the service. I am simply trying to get this matter resolved and ask that someone from management or the franchise owner please contact me directly to discuss a resolution. read more

They got the job done but my experience wasn't very pleasant. I was 2nd in line and waited for 20 minutes (fine). They gave me a hard time about when I passed on replacing the cabin air filter (which I can do myself for cheaper, even with the discount) and also complained when I used a coupon (which you get on the back of your receipt when you shop at Randall's next door). They also did not reset the oil indicator, so my oil change light on my dashboard was still on. When I went back to get it fixed, the person kinda made a condescending reaction. read more

Fast friendly service. I pulled up a little after 9am on a Thursday and was serviced right away. I had my oil changed, fluids filled, air in the tires, new wiper blades and filters all done at the same time. The crew was friendly and they're even dog friendly as I had my puppy and they gave him a doggie treat. They can even check what maintenance your car has had which was convenient when making decisions on what service I needed. I'll definitely go back when I need another oil change. I went to the Round Rock location and there was around four people standing around with no customers. I told the gentleman said that it would be $100. I said I'm sorry that is too expensive. Then I go and look at your website and there's a $25 discount. It seemed to me that they really didn't want to work. Great experience when I went to Take 5 oil today when I was introduced to the GM of the shop "Chris" Chris and his team excelled at customer service for my visit today in regards to my issue with my oil pan. The pros: You don't get out of your car, just pull in, roll down your window, and shut off your car. The cons: If you do this during the summer. They started by bringing out cold water and then ushered me in. All good, so far. I ask about the pricing and what I get with each. They tell me one of cheaper than the other but they are pretty much the same. After I go ahead with the cheaper version, someone else tells me it's half full synthetic, and it will only last three months. I asked which one gave me 6 months, which is what I've always gotten. He told me the one that's $20 more. Had I been given that information when I asked for it before the oil change, I would have gotten the full synthetic (which I am pretty sure is what my car requires in the first place.) And for just $20 more, I could get double the miles before paying another $80 for an oil change. Thankfully, they didn't push anything else. They showed me my clean air filter and told me it was good. Edit: They now have signage up that tells you what each price gives you! That would have been nice to have when I was there, though! read more

Service was decent but I wouldn't recommend this place overall, especially if you have a body kit or lowered the car at all. Crew was nice enough but took them 15 minutes of fumbling around to put my dirty engine air filter back in after realizing they didn't have any of my of my air filters in stock. Probably should've checked that before disassembling the air intake but oh well. They didn't charge me but no work was able to be done because their pits aren't big enough to get access to my skid plate. Fleet manager's, watch out for this place. Yesterday 11-19-25, I took one of our fleet trucks for an oil change. They said wipers are included in our service, they are not, they charge $29 each, I asked for the high mileage synthetic oil that's good for at least 7000 miles they put to return for oil change in 3000 miles on the window sticker they gave me. They also charge for a cabin filter which they did not install nor did I ask for. I have notified all our fleet truck drivers to watch out for this or take vehicle to another place that we can trust. I had them remove all items not asked for on invoice and the poor tech servicing my truck sheepishly said that his store manage told him to add these items to fleet vehicles. SHM, can't trust anyone anymore. read more

I've never been to a drive through oil change business and this was not a let down at all. From beginning to end the entire experience was pleasant, professional and quick. The first employee that greeted me handed me an ice cold bottle of water. They explained the different types of oil and what the recommended for my vehicle. Once they were done they also showed me the fresh oil and checked my tires and aired them. I was also informed that I could get my fluids topped off and vehicle checked if I came in before my next oil change (3000 mile mark). I went to get just an oil change. First of all-way overpriced for just an oil change.!!!! As soon as I pulled in the manager gives me some attitude like he doesn't wanna work there. He gets another raggedy without uniform looking guy to do the job, he acts friendly but they only do that to upsell other crap you don't need. After they explain you the oil packages and I declined the higher priced one or mid one, I clearly see the manager whisper stuff to the guy who was working on my car, this isn't ok because I don't trust people who does that specially servicing my car, what did he say? I don't know. After that he came back and again tried to sell me other crap for my oil or gas treatment and wipers, you can tell in their faces they don't like it when you say no. Again you don't need that nowadays unless you have an old old car. There's a reason why people do this at home and don't go to places like this. If I could give ZERO stars, I would! will NEVER go to this place again. I have been before but after today... My mother went to get and oil change. I waited by the building for her. I figured this would take too long and if I needed to I would move. LJ (that I soon later found out her name ) was standing outside of the building, staring at me. When I looked up again, 10 seconds later to see if she was still looking at me, she rolled her eyes at me and walked back into the garage. One of the other staff came up and said nicely "hey, can you move your car?" I told them "yes, but I'm just waiting on my mom. It is just hard to see her if I parked in the back when she was coming out."... She said she understood and walked away. So I thought, ok great, she understands, so I'll just wait, must not be too much longer now... when I look back to make sure everything was OK, the LJ employee was still staring at me rudely. Then she decided to come up to my window and mind you I was on the phone so when she mouthed to me, can you move and pointed away towards the back of the building... I gave her a thumbs up, and shook my head yes. Obviously this girl had a very big issue with me parked on the side of the building where I was not blocking anyone by a trash dumpster lol but ok! no problem... but she wanted to escalate the situation and stand there and stare at me like she didn't see me.. and repeated herself. I then gave her another thumbs up and shook my head vigorously YES. I guess because I wasn't moving right then and there when she wanted me to, she decided to STILL stay there and stare at me so I rolled down my window and as she repeated herself, I told her that I said "yes, I would move". Im assuming at this point she wasn't going to take my word for it??? because she's continued to stand there and stare at me like she wanted me to move right then and there as she was staring at me it was not going to move until I did. I then told her I said I would move, and she said well my employee said that you were rude to her and rolled up the window. I told her no, there must've been a misunderstanding because I did not do that and she proceeded to say, well you can't stay here I have customers coming and you need to move your car. We haven't even started on your mom's car yet. So this time I said very slowly. OK, I said I would move. Again, sat and stared and waited, instead of deescalating the situation and getting back to work.. She then proceeded to say well then I guess we will tell your mom that we can't do her oil change. And finally walked away.. so since she was there long enough, I got her name- let her know and she proceeded to then go to the garage and tell my mom (LOL?!?) that I was being rude to them and denied her service!! A PAYING customer who had no idea what was going on outside of the building ....My mother, who had nothing to do with the situation and mind you... I complied, said it was a misunderstanding and said I would move! Is this the way "Take 5" treats people? Insane! This LJ girl lost quite a lot of service I will tell everyone I know to NEVER go there or a Take 5 place. This is in no way to treat ANYONE. read more

Take 5 is right around the corner from my house. I saw its Grand Opening Special and decided to give them a chance. I drove right up and was taken care of right away because it wasn't peak hours. Staff was friendly, courteous and efficient. The staff is still learning how to work as a team but this is expected since this location is extremely new. I was out in about 15 min. Original prices are more expensive than my typical mechanic, but with the special it came out to be about the same price. Plus I didn't have to make an appointment and was out in half the time. I will be back when I need a quick and efficient oil change. read more

I've been with Take 5 for years in Dallas. I just recently moved to Austin and tried out this location for an oil change. It was a blast! Servon and the boys really knew what they're doing, and they did it with a super caring and respectful attitude. They gave honest recommendations about what i should get for the car, including tire deflated advise due to the hot weather. What I loved most is when they noticed my coolant fluid level was below the minimum, they just filled it up for me without asking for an additional charge! Fantastic services that went beyond my expectations! I'd definitely recommend this place for your next oil change! read more

My daughter took her car to get annual inspection and gave them a five dollar off emissions test coupon and they would not honor it because they said it was for an oil change went on the coupon. It says inspection for emissions. Also, they replaced your air filter because they said it was yellow, I checked it last week and it was clean. The most unprofessional two guys that I've ever seen that I actually thought that these guys had hijacked kidnapped the original workers and were in there just taking money from customers. The guy had a white nose sleeve T-shirt. All nasty and dirty was on his phone all the time dripped oil inside my engine, didn't wipe it up. It burned off wasn't offered any water. The only reason I used to go to just take five was because of their professionalism there tap Phil and because they honor military discounts of another one in the area. read more
