This was my first time visiting Westborn Market in Livonia. The Livonia location has much better deals that I would never imagine finding at the Westborn in upscale Plymouth. There were good sales on cherries ($1.99/lb) and eggs (Dutch farm extra large eggs for $1.69/dozen). The vegetables look fresh and are reasonably priced. Some of the baked goods made at Westborn are still higher in price and on par with the location in Plymouth, but it's good to see some deals. This Westborn is also much larger than the one in Plymouth with lots of parking. I recommend coming to the Westborn when in Livonia!

We were surprised today the almost 'transformation the new owners have done with the place. In Japanese world, the '5S' is amazing - everything in its place, a place for everything. Items are properly labeled, inventory organized, and selections definitely increased. Freezer / refrigerator are kept clean and incredibly labeled too. We came with plan to purchase 2 specific items, but end up getting more and more and appropriately ending in the high teens! Service: fast, accommodating and friendly couple. RJ and Faye had a very friendly conversations with us, throwing jokes while scanning the items we had put in the cart. Ambiance: quite, and not crowded. Selection: Filipino typical items you need, most likely will be available. Good selection considering the amount of space they have. Cost: typical average price cost ... comparable to other oriental stores. Summary: Will continue to come back for our groceries but maybe this time to get the items we want / need, and maybe come more often, at least 1/month.

She found her chicken to be average, saying it lacked flavor. She gave her sides of potato salad and coleslaw very high marks. I had a spicy chicken breast which was on the small side but tasty and spicy enough for me. I also had a biscuit, which was good. She did too. I had a piece of chocolate cake. The frosting was different from the filling between the layers. I thought the frosting on the cake was fine & should have been used between the layers too. Unfortunately, the floor was very sticky. As you walked, you could hear the stickiness on your shoes. I'm not sure what the reason for that was. The napkin dispenser on our table had a coating of dust on it, perhaps it had not been attended to for awhile. When we paid for our food after placing our order, there was no "thank you" or no checking on us during our meal. There was one person waiting for an order when we arrived. A few people picked up orders and left while we sat there and ate. The traffic in the restaurant was sparse for a weekday lunch hour. Overall, average marks for the food and lower marks for cleanliness and friendliness of the staff.
