It's never a good experience when your car gets towed but they answered the phone quickly at least. They happened to do a random patrol of the apartment complex I rent in and towed my car right after I left it with my emergency lights on to quickly drop off groceries on my patio. They really are "express" because I came out a minute later to repark my car and it was gone. I was able to retrieve my car within the same hour. The total fee just to retrieve my car was $480, with a $60 fine for using a credit card. Does not matter how fast you show up to retrieve your car, fee will still count for an entire day. They will purposely wait for you to leave your car and tow it so quickly that they ruined your car and the newly painted pavement. read more

Anyone who goes through this absolutely has the right to take it to small claims court -- especially when cars are being towed without being properly called in by the property, as the law requires. The reviews on this Yelp page are 100% accurate -- and my experience was almost identical. The only difference is that mine happened on a Sunday during the day, but the treatment and behavior were just as disrespectful and unacceptable. Just like everyone else, I couldn't find their real location because the address listed is wrong. The actual spot is hidden at 415 Old County Road in Belmont, and even knowing that, it was still hard to find. We called several times and the person in charge -- who I truly believe is the owner -- refused to answer until he felt like it. When he finally picked up, he talked to us with zero respect, used bad words, and had this sarcastic, degrading attitude that made us feel stupid and completely powerless. He even said, "nobody can do anything to me," and after seeing reviews from years ago, it's clear he has been doing this for a long time with no accountability. HOA towed our car and sent it to Express Towing. The man was so aggressive he wouldn't even let us check the car saying "it's my private business". We pay for your business to stay open, couldn't even have the human decency to let us check it over. The security at our complex accidentally sent it over, so we had to pay $500 upfront first. He lectured us like an idiot, was passive aggressive, and we thought he would do something to our vehicle because he was adamant we weren't able to go see it (it was 5 feet away). I pulled up to my apartment to unload groceries. I drop them in the door, head back, and the tow truck is backing up behind my car. I wave then down and get in, he lifts my car while I'm in it. We are talking just a couple minutes here- not enough time for someone to call. He must have been patrolling the area and there's no way he didn't see me get my groceries out. I get out and this guy starts telling me how he's sick and tired of towing in this area and that he doesn't care how long I was there. I had a couch delivered to Hillsdale Garden Apartments this weekend. My mover left his truck for literally two minutes by the time he came back to get the couch up his vehicle was lifted by the tow truck. The driver Nick hovers around the Hillsdale Garden apartments just waiting for someone to step out of their vehicle and lifts the vehicle. He uses a spotter that informs him when a vehicle pulls up to do a delivery, Nick shows up within 2 minutes. He uses his aggressive, bully behavior to demand, cash, and will also request money to his personal cash app account, which sounds like he may be pocketing the money. He says they will not accept credit card. He terrifies people into paying, many that live in these apartment complexes are extremely low income, on section 8 housing, mentally ill, and just basically struggling. After doing some investigation, I found out that he lifted cars of people that went up to their apartment for literally two minutes to drop off heavy grocery bags and one incident a lady was taking her sick child up to the apartment. He has done this to so many people, many too afraid to come forward due to this mans bully behavior. This business is very unethical. I attempted to contact the owner today, this very driver claimed to be the owner which he is not. He impersonated the owner saying that his name is Tom, I believe that this was Nick who does the TOWING around Hillsdale Garden Apartments. This is an illegal operation. They claim to have a contract with my apartment complex but actually don't. Our property manager confirmed this. When my pregnant wife asked for proof of the contract the employee Steve cursed at her and tried to intimidate us. Why the cops haven't shut this place down is beyond me. I live in an apartment complex that hires this tow company to remove cars that are parked in the red and blocking residence parking spots. This company claims to return calls within 10 minutes but I have left three messages and they do not call back. In the meantime I have a disability and I cannot access my parking spot and I'm forced to park far away and walk. Ridiculous! read more
