My father, a disabled 80 year old man was a victim of a home invasion by a group of homeless drug addicts. They took his phone, money, and car. Then they "settled" into his home for 3 days. With the help of Social services, the Newburgh sheriffs, and Newburgh police my father is now safe. The police found my father's car a few days later and told us we needed to pay the tow fees before we could get the car back. When I called Express Towing, I was emotionally, mentally, and physically drained. Dealing with my father's dementia and his current financial issues is distressing. I called expecting more problems getting his car back. I can not thank Al at Express Towing more. He slowed me down and explained what I needed to do to get my father's care out of impound. I explained what happened and that I did not have the means to pay the towing fees right now. He said to give him a few minutes and he would call me back. A few minutes later he called me to say everything was taken care of and I did not have to pay the towing fees. He had called the police and waived the fees. What an amazing blessing. i was given a price $85. to tow my vehicle from the Mavis Tire Shop in New Windsor to the Firestone in Newburgh. I gave my driver my card fir the payment, he provided no receipt nor paperwork to sign. Upon checking my account later I saw that I was bulled $189.00. This should have been disclosed to me upfront! read more

Someone I know had their car towed here. When they contacted Express, they were told they would not only have to pay for towing but storage as well. Express gave them the option to leave their car there to cover the cost to which my friend agreed. Then, to top it off, Express wanted to charge 150 to get their belongings out of the car! What kind of business takes advantage of people like that? read more

I had an absolutely terrible experience with Express Automotive. I got in an accident with my 2017 Honda Accord on 5/23/19, in which the front end of my car was damaged pretty badly. The vehicle was towed to Express in New Windsor and they performed the repairs. Al at Express initially said that he thought it would be a quick repair. My car was there for almost 2 full weeks before replacement parts were received. First, I was given 4 estimated completion dates, and Express fell behind on every one of them. My car was taken off-site to be painted, and the people working on my car didn't tell me until I asked. I picked up my car today, over 3 weeks later, to find out that none of the windows are working, and the only controls on the drivers door that worked were for the side mirrors. Called today to see if they had any openings to get a vehicle Inspection done for insurance purposes. Guy who took the call couldnt have been more miserable and unpleasant. He said it's new years eve and we are leaving soon. I asked about the rest of the week and proceeded to tell me tomorrow was new years day as if I wasnt aware. He kept repeating their hours and to call the day of to check for open appointments. Very rude and poor customer service . Will not recommend or come here in the future. read more

***DO NOT GO*** the owner/ "only worker" there REFUSED to wear a mask. I showed up for my appointment the worker isn't wearing a mask I said I'm sorry I'm not comfortable speaking without your mask on for the safety of me & HIM. (We're in the middle of a global pandemic aren't we?!?!) He said no and if I don't like it then I can leave because he's the only person working! Horrible and disgusting inconsiderate behavior. I had a horrible experience today with this lousy excuse for a business. Al, who runs the shop was very rude and irate after he learned that he would have to give back money after he failed to do his job. I went there this morning after my car stopped as I was approaching the i84W ramp. One of his employees, a very nice guy, brought me back to the business and left me in the hands of his boss and a mechanic. After paying $430 for a tow truck, labor, and two new coil packs which was identified as the problem by the boss, I was on my way! I thanked him and got in my car before stopping abruptly about 20 minutes away. My check engine light came on and I sputtered out just like I did the first time. Another tow truck was sent for me and when I arrived I waited again for another hour or two before I was told that I had to order more parts for at least $200 to fix the problem. At this point I asked for my money back for only the coils because after 11 hours of trying to get this problem fixed I was left with nothing solved. Al kept saying it was my fault because my car damaged his new coils that were put in as a result of my sparkplugs. On top of all this, the coils were not even new. He decided on his own that four used coils that he had sitting in his yard were just as good as two new coils so he decided to go with that instead. At the end of this whole thing when I decided to finally stop paying Al all of these new charges, he left my car without the sparkplugs or the coil packs installed. He pushed my car out into his driveway and instructed his mechanic to specifically NOT install the parts that were removed from my car. He was deflecting and blaming it all on the customer. A very unprofessional person in a business like this who clearly needs to reevaluate how he treats his customers. Do not recommend. read more
