I guess I can't really complain. I came home by train after a long weekend in Boston to a completely dead car stuck in an MBTA train station. Battery caput... Unfortunately, it was a holiday, so there was nothing open in my vicinity, I didn't really have any warm clothing on me ( my daughter failed to pack a jacket). I called AAA, and a gentleman from Express Towing showed up to save the day. He was able to diagnose that my battery was pretty much on its way out. He could charge it--but the minute I shut it off, it would probably die again.... He offered to install a new battery that he had on hand. Because I was freezing and knew I needed to get home, I agreed--I took him up on the offer at a whopping $200. This came with a three year guarantee, and he could do it on the spot. My last battery was probably just over $100) The battery installation was supposed to take twenty minutes, but because my battery connector bolts were loose and him dropping tools (because it was so cold), it ended up taking 45 minutes. Overall, I have no real complaints, I got a new battery, and the driver was super nice.... But soon after I got home my battery died again. The wires that connect my car to the battery needed to be completely replaced- I wish I was told that before I bought a brand new battery-because I would have just driven it home and had a new battery and connectors installed for fraction of the price It is what it is. read more

Be warned: this company is not only rude to customers as many feedbacks here stated, they also trained their employee to lie and purposely cover up evidence. This level of DISHONISTY and UNPROFESSIONALISM is simply unacceptable and could even be considered as a CRIME. Remember to file lawsuit through MA Attorney General (free for small case under 10K) so they have bad record on file, and later this evil company can be punished if the same cases accumulate to certain level. when this company 'Express Towing' came to my house to replace the battery of car (through AAA), their guy accidently connect the terminal to the wrong side, caused smoke and fire from battery, and also destroyed the 3 cameras on my Benz car ($6000 repair fee from dealer). we witness the whole process, and next day we noticed the damage to the cameras we contacted this company, and they denied accident so we filed the lawsuit through MA Attorney General, but they still alleged the damage was not caused by them, though I am sure the cameras work perfectly just hours before accident. They also refused to return the burned battery as evidence and reveal their communication record for further investigation. Had a great experience about 6 weeks ago. The technician advised me on my car's issue and I was able to get it fixed. This time, Express Towing responded to my AAA request. The only issue was that my keys were stuck in my car, due to a low battery on my key fob. The driver never showed up and when I called I was told they don't work on Alfa Romeo's. No call, no message. It took over an hour for another driver from AAA to show up (2 and a half hours total). Yet, 6 weeks ago a technician helped me to save money and offer great advice. I got into the accident and had the car towed to this place by the state police ordered. The next day, I wanted to get the stuff out of my car and have the towed to my body shop was a nightmare. First of all, they don't accept credit card or check which is understandable. When you pay cash, you have to pay exact amount as they don't have change for you. We asked for the amount so we can prepared by phone. No, they didn't give us the amount until we get there. Then I sent a request to AAA to have my car towed to the body shop. Just had a wonderful experience with Express Towing! I came out from a birthday party with my 5year old and my car would not start. First Patrice came and tried to start it with a jump but no luck. Then Jimmy came to tow it back to my house. I am writing not because of the service with my car (which was great) but more of the customer service we experienced. My son has autism and is just now learning how to speak with people in a conversational way and both Patrice and Jimmy were so gracious and kind. Had a busted tour because weymouth roads and 3a especially are awful in the winter with potholes (the salt and plows are brutal). Was waiting and had the other tow companies cancel that I got sent thru All-State roadside assistance. Well, an express towing driver was helping someone in the game cvs parking lot since they had the same thing happen (like 5 of us in a row got our front left tires destroyed. ) He asked if I was waiting for AAA or someone and if I needed help and that if I wanted to call he would still be in the area and that it wasn't too expensive. I almost took him up on it on the spot but wanted to give the thing I pay for for exactly this reason a chance. Well two tow cancelations later with no one answering their phone I called their Braintree number. The person the the phone was nice, got me set up, I could have paid by card over the phone but I did have enough cash, it was $75, and he was there and done in like 15 min so that was great. AAA had Express Towing show up for service in Quincy. 3 hours later than I was told someone would be here. Had to replace a AAA battery that Express put in 4 months ago 8/13/2024 in same Quincy location. My 3 year guarantee battery lasted 4 months because it was a garbage battery refurbished and AAA sticker slapped on it that I paid $200. The person who showed up, Nicholas, had the worst attitude of any human I've ever seen. (Get a different job or an education Nicholas if you don't like being out in the cold). Rude and quite frankly things almost did not end well for Nicholas. Attitude when I showed him the receipt from August that Express put the battery in because "didn't have a record of it". Then Nicholas replaces battery and just leaves. I go out the hood is still up, driver side window down on this 30 degree day and key just sitting on dash. Had the worst possible experience with Express Towing. Called AAA about a month ago for a dead battery requesting a new one, they sent Express. Express sent a flat bed with only jumper cables and no battery. Jumped my car and it died again the next day. They wasted one of my AAA service calls due to them sending the wrong equipment. Got my battery changed and worker promised there was not two battery's in my jeep, so only changed the big one. A week later, the car died again. It was towed to the jeep dealership in Braintree, and they told us that the little battery is draining the big battery (meaning there was 2 batterys), but AAA needs to change the big one for the warranty. We call AAA and they send Express Towing again. A nasty, rudy, awful lady, supposedly the manager, coulden't find the place, called us and yelled bevasue she couldn't find it. Was explained the directions, once she found it, she refused to change the battery becassue "I can't change a battery just because YOU say its dead". Again, explained that Quirk said it was dead and if you just walk inside and stop being lazy they will tell you that. Never changed the battery. Next day tried the process all over again and our serviced request was canceled FOUR different times by Express Towing. Not only did they cancel the service requests, they LIED and said that the battery was not dead. Not one person came to check the battery as I was waiting there for FOUR hours and Quirk had the keys. Thankfully Quirk changed the battery and AAA is reimbursing us as everyone we spoke to said this was "absolutely ridiculous". This was the worst customer service we have ever experienced. Not only was it bad customer service this is an extreme safety issue as they have NO right to cancel my emergency service request and then LIE and say the battery was not approved. We would NEVER recommended Express Towing and will NEVER use them again. read more

I got hit by an Express Towing Truck (that was towing a customer's car at the time) on 5/21/19 going south on 93 just before exit 8. The man driving the tow truck at the time was Mark E. Simpson. I was driving in the left lane, and he was to the right of me, and he swerved over into the left lane and hit my little Hyundai Elantra with his huge tow truck. Express Towing and their insurance are now fighting to have me, a 24 year old struggling to make ends meet, pay an astronomical amount of money to fix my car, when the accident was in no way my fault. AND, after the accident, Mark got out of the tow truck and walked around the highway smoking a cigarette. So crazy. this company is shady and manipulative and they hold your vehicle hostage until you pay whatever they deem acceptable, with cash only - even for a company vehicle with a company credit card, or company check.
