My car was towed on the night of January 19, 2025, due to a small accident that happened during a snow storm. The damage resulted in minor bumper and fender damage to the front right side which left no debris at the scene. It also resulted in a broken lower control arm which required my car to be towed from the scene. The next morning I called Central towing company around 8.am to have my car towed to my mechanic and asked what the price was to have it towed and how much I had to pay for the service from the prior night. The person who answered the phone was very rude, refused to release the car saying that the insurance agent needs to come and see the vehicle before we release it. I called my mechanic back and he called the company with me on the phone. The mechanic asked the tow company what was the cost as of right now and the tow company representative told us about $220. The mechanic told the company that they cannot hold the car and asked if they would be willing to tow it to the mechanics shop that day. Central towing's response was that they would not be able to tow it for a few days because of the snow. (Only 4 inches in total I might add) The mechanic informed the tow company that we needed to pick it up today because there was not full coverage on the car and that we did not want to accrue storage charges. We explained that instead of having Central towing tow the car to the mechanic shop we would arrange for our own tow company that the mechanics shop uses to tow it out of Central towing's lot that same day. During this conversation, the representative of Central towing was again very nasty and condescending with his attitude which did not make for an enjoyable interaction to say the least. The phone call ended with the person from Central towing claiming we needed to get a police release on the vehicle first and that we should bring a shovel when we came to pick up the car. I had to call the Weymouth police department to make sure that the information that they were stating was true or false. The police confirmed to me that there was never any hold notice for the vehicle. This was when I realized that Central towing company was purposely causing delays to charge more fees. When I was finally able to arrange towing to my mechanic's shop in Quincy, it was around 4:15 pm on January 20th not even 24 hours after the accident had taken place. When I arrived at the towing company the personnel at the Central towing was very rude to me and stated that his company closes at 4:30 and if the tow company that was picking up my car arrived past 4:30 that there would be additional fees because of this. I felt unsafe and bullied. I called the mechanic and asked him about this additional cost if late. He called the tow company that was picking up the vehicle to ask the ETA and he was told it was in route at that time. The tow company that was picking up the vehicle informed us that because it was a police tow that this company was required to be a 24-hour location and that it should not be able to close and forced to pay late fees or and additional storage charges. As a precaution the tow company called the Weymouth police just to notify them that we were having issues with the company and they said it we needed them to call back they would help out. When it came time to pay the bill it had appeared to have doubled totaling $456.60- My personal feeling is that this company is taking advantage of me. This is a deceptive and illegal business practice. Due to the companies fraudulent business practices, I would like a full refund for the charges I incurred.curred. The charges is as follows. My car broke down in the middle a high speed traffic area and the police had to come and rescue my poor car. It was towed automatically to Central Towing. The guy there was quickly able to diagnose it was an axle breaking and that was something they could fix. They had my car back within a day and half and at a reasonable cost. Staff was friendly too! read more

This towing company towed my wife's car that had died in the middle of an intersection and told her they were going to impound it and charge 130 dollars yet didn't even tell her what company they were and if it wasn't for the cop who had arrived at the scene and then took off and left my wife and daughter on the side of the road. My daughter's car broke a front spring, she needed it towed from her home in S. Weymouth to Dover (25+ miles). Central Towing was super nice to her on the phone, gave her pricing, came promptly to pick up the car. An hour later tow guy dropped the car off at my place, very nice guy, late model rollback tow truck. Absolutely an A+ experience - I'll use these guys again if the need arises. read more

Car was towed there after an accident. Went to pick it up and got there at 4:45 (they close at 5:00) told him another tow truck was on it's way. The tow truck got there at 5:10 and Central (the owner) charged me an extra $20.00 for the 10 minutes he had to stay waiting for the other tow truck. This is after I had already paid Central towing for towing and storage. They already made $175.00 on me and sucked me for another $20.00. This is the WORST business I have ever dealt with. They towed my car and when I called to see how much it was going to be he was yelling at me that I wasn't parked in the right spot and then when I went to pick up my car THE BACK DOOR HAD A HUGE DENT IN IT! I had a great experience with this tow service. When a rented skip loader flipped over forward (avoid the 4-wheel Dingo - very unstable), I called several tow companies to ask if they had a "come-along" or something else that could help, the only company with a solution was Central Towing. The person who answered the phone was excellent - she really listened to my description and contacted an employee who lives fairly close by. He showed up pretty quick with a truck that was too large to get to the loader. So he left and returned with a smaller truck. In 3 minutes, he carefully righted the loader by pushing the shovel with a metal bar from the front of the truck. It was perfect. The whole time, the driver was calm and reassuring. I'm really grateful and I'll definitely call Central when I need a tow. read more
