Vicki is great and provides excellent service and a reasonable price. She meticulous in following COVID safety policies & each booth has a plastic curtain for distancing. I'm picky with who cuts my hair. This is not because I have long, beautiful, healthy hair but, because I have very little, thin, fragile, super dry, hard to grow hair. Whenever I would go somewhere to get a trim they always chopped off more than I'm comfortable with (I like my hair long). Jahel on the other hand, was like the hair whisperer. Jahel understood my concern. She trimmed my hair and gave me layers that kept the length of my hair. I really loved the result. The layers give my hair some personality. This place doesn't deserve even a 1/2 star, I went to get my Brazilian blowout, this lady who's supposedly the owner worked in my hair once and I had to come back for second time because my hair was the same as the beginning, so the second time she worked with a really different process and the only thing she did was damage to my hair, after that she said she can't do anything else. I never will recommend this place to nobody, they just made me waste my money and get my hair damaged, I'm so upset. read more

I called in one day, because I saw the reviews on here, and I asked for Patsy. It was one of the greatest decisions ever! She was so spot on for trimming my bangs and hair. She even styled it nicely. She is there only on certain days, but she gives you her card to call in advance and make appointments. The second time I came in, she was there and was able to squeeze me in. I made an appointment to have my haircut by Vicki. It was my first time there. I was recommended to her by a friend of mine. I was to be her last appointment for the day. And when I arrive there on time she told me that she was running behind and I then said to her I could return. She told me no not to worry that it wouldn't be too long. 45 minutes later I showed her a picture of my hair cut which I've had a cut like that for the last two years my other stylist who were not available that's why I came to Vicky. And she assured me she'd have no problem cutting it. She shampooed my hair and once I was in the chair she asked me to show her the picture again. No problem I didn't mind doing that so I showed it to her that was the second time out of 3 times that I showed her the picture she ask me another time in the middle of the haircut to show it again. I asked her please to keep the length and not to cut my bangs shorter than my jawline. From the minute she started cutting my hair she was being interrupted by other stylist's coming up to her and asking her opinions of the work they were doing. She also got called back up to the desk to answer some questions. The girl tjat was cleaning the salon brought her a phone and once again stop cutting my hair to text my phone.All the while she was doing this while cutting my hair. It was one of the most unprofessional experiences I've ever had from a stylist. She ended up cutting my hair way to short not only did she cut it short she hacked it up. When I got home and combed it out I noticed that there were pieces somewhere longer than others and other parts were chopped up. I was livid and ended up going to another salon and have it fixed. I absolutely refuse to return to this joke of a stylist. I will say that the salon with clean and was keeping with covid restrictions that's why I'm giving her the one star. read more

SOO! I went to CARLTON hair to get my hair just BROWN BROWN BROWN...... what did I come out with BLACK!! I looked ugly I didn't want to go to my college classes or outside it was disgusting. I went around looking to find a Beauty salon I was hoping to trust and I passed by Expression... I went in expecting them to bleach my hair (of course since it was black and I wanted brown) but TONY(the best ever) told me he won't bleach it and he will do highlights to make it look brown. I was unsure but I trusted him on it. when I was done I was literally about to cry of happiness! It was so beautiful! He knows what you want and he does the best for your hair! I have been wanting to write a review for this salon since the first and only time I went to this place was a year ago, was not keen on yelp until now. This place is absolutely awful. There was one stylist available to help me and she had to have someone translate to figure out what I wanted, does not know a lick of english (didn't mind) til my appointment date comes and the translater, no one, actually was there! She talks me into going to a dark brown when I wanted blonde, at least a dark blonde but apparently she couldn't do it she later tells me after a failed bleach attempt. Then I got the microbead extensions. She gets me the 18 in. Because apparently they didn't have the 22 in I wanted. As she's going the hair is wayy shorter than what I had hoped Im so upset she basically forced me to use those 18in. I TELL HER I WANT LONGER EXTENSIONS SINCE IM ALREADY PAYING 500 FOR NOT ONLY A HAIR COLOR I DON'T WANT BUT A SHORTER STYLE THAN I WANTED AT THAT! She comes back with 24 in. hair because thats all she can get supposedly and tells me I have to pay for the 24s and cut them if theyre too long. I AGREE BECAUSE AT THIS POINT IM SO STRESSED OUT. At the end of it all I tell her if I want to dye these extensions blonde can I? I not only ask her but an english speaking stylist who shows up in the middle to help out through all this mess, they both say yes. A week later I went to ATTITUDES salon on Beverly, THEY DYE MY HAIR BLONDE NOO PROBLEM UNLIKE EXPRESSIONS and the stylist Stephanie was so nice because as she helps me with my ordeal, she attempts to dye the extensions and THERE FAKE HAIR. ALL THAT MONEY WASTED I literally broke down in tears I spent a whopping total of $685 for a haircut, 1 failed bleach and color, a color, 18 inch fake hair, and 24 inch fake hair, and the microbead installation FOR NOTHING. Stephanie trusted me and let me pay her 2 weeks after she put in my REAL BLONDE HAIR EXTENSIONS since I blew my check on my ruined hair then whatever was left to fix it at attitudes, she was such a doll. GO TO ATTITUDES MUCH FRIENDLIER, LOW COST, COOLER AMBIANCE & PROFESSIONALISM. read more

I needed to trim my ends and I also wanted bangs, but I was unsure if I should go with side swept bangs or those Chinese bangs. I told Patsy my dilemma and she even offered to cut first and then wash it because some people prefer to do it that way when they don't know the hairdresser, but I trusted her since she is my former stylist's sister. Patsy is very outgoing and nice, and she did not hurry or did a crappy job even though her family was there waiting to have their hair done too. She told me that she would cut as side swept bangs and if I didn't like it, she would do the short bangs. She also showed me how to maintain my bangs in place - I never had bangs before - and which styling products she was using. In less than 90 minutes she was done and I was very happy with the results. Patsy works Tuesday-Saturday, I believe, and if you call the salon, they will give you her number so you can contact her directly to make an appointment. read more

They told us to come in we did not force ourselves in there.
