Good salon but they don't take credit card so that is a big hassle to deal with since February. Got my hair done by Fabio; he's not the best. He's good but not great and he takes forever to finish a balayage. I'd recommend going to another salon if you want balayage. It takes him over 7 hours to finish a balayage and most people don't have all day for that. Also, I was neglected by him yesterday due to him doing his own girlfriends hair for free instead of paying attention to the paying customer that had an actual appointment. Huge lack of professionalism. Definitely don't recommend Fabio for hair. read more

Me and my family have been going to Maria since I can remember! When I was younger she would trim my hair (and it would always be perfect) but as I got older and started experimenting with my hair on my own, I threw her for a loop. But it was nothing she couldn't handle; every single time I've come in with disaster hair that needs to be fixed, I come out LOVING it! My last visit was due to a very choppy, horribly done ombre covered with purple dye (it was done at home, obviously by an inexperienced friend). I was even more shocked when it all got brushed out in Maria's chair and I saw a picture from the back! I had checkers! But I had full faith it was nothing Maria couldn't handle and I was right! I absolutely love my hair! She blended the choppy lines and did intricate weaving highlights to blend it from the top, just like in the picture I showed her! Fabio is amazing and really knows his stuff. He has such a keen eye for detail and will take the time to get your hair to his gold standard. I gave him a $h!t canvas to work with my alopecia and bald spots galore. I have no idea how, but after my haircut my hair looked fuller and my bald spots all concealed. Maria is the only person i will let cut an inch off my hair. Grew up in La Crescenta and have been to most hair stylists in montrose and on foothill ranging from 15-60 bucks a haircut from stylists who obviously dont know how to cut men/boys hair when its not a buzz or flattop. Maybe it's cause she has 2 boys and used to cut her hair, she is by far the best in the area i assure you!!!!! I would be willing to drive 200miles to get a haircut from her if she moved cuz the thought of having to sift through more hair stylists sounds like a nightmare again even tho i only get a cut every few months . But there's almost nothing i hate more than overpaying for a bad haircut and there's tons of those in the 818. Take the whole family, any age they will all be satisfied. My first time getting my haircut here and they were so so friendly and Fabio did an amazing job! You can tell they care about you and your hair. I had gone to a lady who totally messed up my layers and he fixed them beautifully. I also shaved part of my head which looks super clean. He took his time and was definitely a perfectionist.
