Avoid Tasca Toyota Boston Service. Posting this so other people don't get played on pricing: do not take your vehicle here unless you're prepared to audit every line of the invoice and argue. I brought my 2011 Toyota 4Runner in for an alternator replacement. They initially estimated 5 hours of labor at $214/hr for a job that is typically 1.5-2 hours. Only after I challenged it did the labor suddenly drop to 2 hours. That tells me the estimate wasn't based on a consistent standard--it changed when I pushed back. Then the final invoice (#420466, 2/13/26) shows they installed a REMAN alternator (27060-31190-84) and charged me $495 for it. The next business day I went to Tasca's Parts Department and was quoted $377 for the reman alternator (new is $504, plus a $75 core). So why was I billed $495 for reman? That's basically new-part pricing for a reman unit. More red flags: * The invoice never says "new" anywhere (so don't assume anything). * The invoice also shows no core charge at all--again, not transparent. If you're charging near-new prices, the billing should be crystal clear, not vague. I contacted Toyota USA and they told me Tasca claimed they called me and offered a $200 service credit. I received no call and no offer. And I don't want a "credit" that requires me to come back. I want the overcharge refunded (the corrected numbers come out to $225). Bottom line: inflated labor until challenged, reman alternator billed like new, and sloppy/inaccurate follow-up. There's an expectation that a Toyota dealership will get it right the first time. This one didn't. Go to another Toyota dealer or a reputable independent shop. i came into test drive a jeep and was approved for financing. when we got finished signing and initialing the paperwork, the salesperson proceeded to tell me that title isn't available for two weeks. 2 weeks has come and gone and now i apparently have to wait another week or so. they still have my down payment and i am getting crickets on any kind of assistance. i am now back to public transportation which means money out of my pocket while they are hanging out with several thousand dollars of MY money. Maybe it was going to happen at some point but more than that he ripped off the weatherstrip on the roof of my car and left it hanging off. They showed me two dirty, damaged cars and proceeded to play the cute game of telling me they were both spoken for but the deals might fall through due to financing. They were back and forth so many times saying they're available then no never mind they're not, that I said I was all set and asked for my car keys back. The sales associate REFUSED to give my car keys back. He proceeded to get his manager who came over holding my keys. I again asked for my key back to which he replied "what do we have to do to make this sale happen?" What sale?! They were already spoken for..? It took several times of demanding my keys back before I was able to get the hell out of there. He was very nice. He had the manager check out the car but the manager was so rude to him and had an attitude with me as well. I am so fed up with this place. I brought my car in on Thursday for a simple repair. Replacement of ABS Module, some work on my exhaust. That's it. They told me I could probably pick up my car on Sat or Sunday. They don't communicate on Friday so I call in on Friday to check on my car. The sales person cannot help me because the service people have all left. I think they leave at 4pm on a Friday. There is no central database of information so I have to call the next day when the service people get back there. So I call back on Saturday. No part has arrived yet. Sunday I get no call. Monday I get no communication. I call them again. Part is not there yet. (Today) Tuesday I get no communication. I call them again. Part is not there yet. I get frustrated and flip out on the service person assigned to me. Only NOW does he tell me that there is a shortage of parts. Can he tell me the part that they are short on? No. Can he give me a realistic time of when that part will arrive? No. Can he be helpful in anyway? Not at all. Meanwhile, I'm shlepping to work in an Uber every morning paying 20-30 bucks per trip per day. That's not including tip. The one good thing is that they are paying for an uber for me to pick up the car. Gee thanks fellas. Oh and the simple break and exhaust work is costing me nearly 4 grand. I took my new Camry in for the 5K mile service and returned with dents below the door frame near the front jack points. I'm guessing it happened when they put the car on the lift. All they needed to do was rotate the tires and they managed to damage my vehicle! They called for a satisfaction survey and I informed them about the damage. To their credit, I got a message back saying I should bring the car back in, but did not get the name of a person I should see any specific information of anyone directly responsible. I don't want to go in unannounced and waste hours of my time waiting on site, so I'm trying to schedule an appointment but can't get anyone on the phone. It's absolutely unacceptable (the damage and the poor customer service). I will continue to pursue a remedy for the damage they caused but will not return for any other reason. read more

My husband and I had researched and visited a handful of different dealerships on a mission to find a new car. We had our eyes on a couple, but Toyota RAV 4 hybrid was my first choice. We stopped by this dealership after my husband saw some options online. The first person we came in contact with was Mano Moises. He was friendly and helped us right away. We were able to test drive an older RAV 4 hybrid to get a feel if we liked it. Unfortunately, there were no available Rav 4 2025 hybrids for sale. Everything had already been sold. We were definitely interested in getting a new one so Mano was able to talk with his sales manager. Angel had stepped in to help. We were able to come to an agreement and Angel was able to get us a Rav 4 hybrid 2025 from another dealership! I cannot thank these guys enough. From a customer perspective, Angel did an amazing job really selling the car and brand. We let him know there was another vehicle we were interested in that was not Toyota at a different dealership and he listed the pros and cons of both cars. Toyota blew its competitor out of the water, and having a previous Toyota I already am a fan of the brand. We were able to sign the papers and put down a deposit and were told we would be contacted when the car was ready to be picked up. Update.... I have been unable to reach the GM for the last 10 days! My salesman said the the GM would be calling yesterday. Shocker! He never called! Have had the same problem with my new vehicle for 5 months. Have given dealer 4 chances to work on car. Still not fixed!!! Now being told by manager to follow lemon laws or trade car in for a "huge loss". GM won't call back. And a manager by the name of Brian lost his shit on me last week while I was in a room full of people. Unwilling to provide with me the GM's phone number, the next time I should try contacting him as well as the next time he would be at the dealership. Absolutely unreal. Aside from the fact that they "accidentally" tried to charge me more for the car than was on my purchase agreement, I just went to remove the license plate frame that they put on the car. (It's been several months since my purchase and it's been on my to do list - no reason to give them free advertising!) I discovered that they had cut a piece out of my license plate above where the screw hole is, rendering it impossible to attach the license plate to the car without the frame. So now I have to spend money on a new frame with no advertising. If you do decide to get a car here, double check all their math, and insist upfront that they DO NOT put an advertising frame on your license plate. If they "forget" and add the frame anyway, make them take the frame off before you leave with the car, and if you discover they've cut into your license plate, raise holy hell. I have a question about the multipoint inspection. The only reason I go to Expressway is because oil change includes this. I've been here for 10 years getting oil change. I decided to go to Sullivan tire auto after 10 years because of convenience. They found that my cabin air filter is dirty and suggested replacement. I declined on the phone since I can do that myself. It was absolutely very very dirty! This tells me that Expressway had never checked the cabin air filter every time I went there for an oil change. So my question is: Does a multi-point inspection include checking the cabin air filter? This week, they're having a complimentary oil change. I decided not to go and instead went to another autoshop even though it's expensive. I can't trust their service dept anymore. They've been very careless. Also, don't let them do your timing belt. They don't know how. They broke something while replacing the belt, then replaced it, then charged me for the thing they broke without letting me know. read more

HORRIBLE!!!! Today, I went for an oil change at this location. I was in a hurry so I told them I just want the oil change. But the tech messed with my tires. They took off a nut out of my tires and then told me that they can't put it back on. First of all, I didn't even ask for a tire rotation, so WHY THE HELL do they mess with my tires?! Ok, they did and they messed up, so they fix their own mistakes! But they didn't even try to fix the problem, instead they just told me what they did and I have to pay out of my own pocket to fix a problem that they created. I had the most positive experience at Expressway Toyota. I've been to several dealerships over the past year in search of the perfect car. Part of the car search experience is interacting with the dealership and the sales people, which depending on the place can be a challenge. A lot of places pressure you into buying a car right when you walk in the door and will not take "no" for an answer. They call and e-mail you repeatedly despite you declining. I fortunately heard great things about Expressway Toyota and thus drove an hour just to see for myself. Immediately when we entered the dealership we were greeted. I met with my salesperson, Nathan Nguyen, who is such an incredible individual to work with! Nathan is extremely knowledgeable and answered all our questions about the 2019 RAV4. He is professional and courteous, and went above and beyond to help us find the perfect vehicle. We didn't feel rushed or pressured during the entire experience. He explained everything to us in great detail and what I appreciated the most was that he actually listened to us. We definitely felt that with his amicable and patient demeanor that he was trustworthy and prioritized our interests. We felt comfortable with the entire car shopping experience. Buyer beware - Bait and Switch. I was in the market for a used car and had found a car on Expressway Toyota's website with 22,000 miles. I live an hour away so I gave the dealership a call to confirm the vehicle was on the lot and I could come by to check it out. They said yes, please stop by the vehicle will be in the lot for you. I drive an hour away to come see the car and am greeted by a salesman with a folder with my name on it saying they were expecting me. He asks me to wait in their waiting area for him to pull the car around to check out. After 10 minutes he comes and lets me know the vehicle is ready for me to see. I go outside to check out the vehicle and immediately see the sticker with 45,000 miles on the vehicle. I asked him to see the vehicle with 22,000 miles that I had requested to see and he tells me he has to go inside to check on it. He tells me he's not sure if it's there or not and has to go check with his sales managers and asks me to take a seat. After sitting for a minute, I go over to the Sales Manager booth to ask if the car is here, and after stalling for a minute he finally tells me the car is in fact not on this lot and will not be there today. Over four hours for an oil change and an inspection sticker. I understand the high demand for the sticker but I was never given an estimate of how long I'd have to wait. I checked in after 2.5 hours. They said "25 minutes." I waited another hour and asked to speak to the manager. He finally tells me the car did not pass inspection and they had to replace 3 bulbs. Why they didn't inform me hours ago is mind-boggling. They never offered me a ride home (or anywhere) and when I asked what he was going to do to rectify the situation, his reply: "We won't charge you labor for the bulb replacement." Absolutely disgusted with the lack of service, the lack of communication and the overall vibe of the place was, "We see you but can't be bothered to help you." I'm selling the car soon (hence the sticker) and I will NEVER return to Expressway. I'll make sure any family and friends stay far away as well. I called for a scheduled appt to get my tires changed due to a nail on my tire, had a spare tire switched in and went to Toyota. When I arrived, there was one other car in front of me, no one else, I waited 5 minutes, no one came up to me, so I thought they have a new rule of just walking in. I walked in, waited for another 5 minutes, then a lady walked behind me and a worker called her out "mam you need a ticket before heading in" and I said well I didn't get a ticket, walked back out. This guy goes up to the lady and gave her a ticket. I thought he'd come to me after but he didnt so i flagged him down and he said "oh you came in before the Lexus?" Yes sir I did. " I didn't see you" first off, how do you not see a car roll in when you were right in front of it?!?! Walked back inside and was served by Elaine Beato. Very nice lady, told me she was going to get back to me about my car. She got back and said the price and I ask her , is the total including everything ?, she said yes. I asked her about the warranty , she said 2 years, great. It was expensive but 2 year warranty is pretty good. I said ok, let's change them 4 hours later , Elaine comes up to me , said we're done, went to pay for the tires, total was 50$ over my original total that she said. I asked her before if it was the total price and she said yes. She should not have lied. What sucks was that the service was already done so I had to pay. Fine, I paid it. Got my car, drove out and realized the tire pressure light is still on . Which is odd because I had my tires changed before and usually the light is gone after it's changed. I went back and asked another sales associate and he asked "when did you get it fixed" 2 minutes ago. He replied back "just drive it around and it'll go away" I drove it around, light is STILLL on. Got home, and luckily had a tire pressure gauge, checked it and the front tire which I got fixed by the way , pressure was 20. How does that even happen? After a 4 hour service, I purposely went to get my front tires changed and they didn't even fix it. Now I'm questioning if the tires are even new. I had to drive to a gas station and pump air in my tire myself. Not only that, Elaine told me the warranty is 2 years and I never got a warranty notice for my tires. Nor was it written in my invoice. Not only that, they put in the invoice "our pit crew inspired approach completed your maintenance quickly and identified additional needed work to keep your Toyota operating at best" First of all, it wasn't quick and second , no it wasn't even operating at best, I had to go to a gas station to pump air in my tire after a 4 hour service. But you know what, sad to say, service was faster than the last time I came here for a sticker inspection. I'm sorry I don't usually put any negative comments out there, but I didn't get what I paid for and was lied to about my price. I've never had a service as terrible as this in my life. Ronnie pressures customers into deals. If a dealer is having issues they call him. Ronnie lies about contact deals, judges you instead of providing a service, and antagonize you if there's legally nothing else he can do so that he can say something about your conduct so that he can get his way. Ronnie has a little team that seems like a GANG that comes together from almost every department that sat outside his door to provide "support". There were 5 "supportive" workers outside his door after leaving his office that stare at you and whisper threats as they walk past you. EXPRESSWAY TOYOTA likes to show you a modified car. Wait until you sign the contract to purchase it. Then remove all upgraded parts to "dispose of" since they can't sell you a car that won't meet state inspection. That leaves you with a base model vehicle with the upgrades you basically paid for taken out and not be reimbursed. Where do those parts go? If you have a dispute about those parts they send Ronnie to talk to you. If you want to get out of a contract they send Ronnie to talk to you. If you don't cause a scene and no eyes are watching Ronnie, Ronnie will do things not have your best interest. He will have you wait longer if he knows you have work. Ronnie will walk away from you and make things personal if the conversation isn't going his way. Ronnie acts like the head of TOYOTA EXPRESSWAY. Especially since he's been doing this for years. I do not recommend a dealership that employ grown men who intimidate and lie to mothers trying to provide for their children into contracts. read more

The worst experience I've ever had with their repair shop. I bought my vehicle here previously which was an okay experience. When I needed one of the windows repaired, I called to ask about if anything was covered under my warranty and they directed me to bring in the vehicle. I brought it in and was told they could do the work so I left it with them for what they estimated would be a few days. There was a severe lack of communication on the status of my vehicle and it was impossible to get through to the person who was in charge of my case - I had to call no exaggeration 20 times throughout the course of the day to get through to the rep. and try to work out what the delay was. My case representative was extremely incompetent and delayed the work information by providing the wrong information to my insurance. My car should have been fixed within 3 days maximum, but took almost two weeks requiring me to waste money renting a car that I should not have needed. I called early morning and spoke to a women named Kat. I was looking to purchase a Prius prime and she took my card number for a deposit. She told me that a sales manager would call me and to finalize the transaction after taking my card number for a deposit. I waited all day for a call and actually card and spoke to her multiple times and she kept repeating the same thing(someone would call me). I finally got fed up and spoke to someone and they told me that the car had sold even though I made a deposit. My wife spoke to a Brian Nadeau he told her that a deposit does not hold a car. I made sure to let him know that I had everything ready to buy it but Kat only took a deposit. The customer service at this dealership was so bad that I wasn't surprised at all that the car had sold even though I made deposit. The behavior I have experienced from Expressway Toyota has been careless, unprofessional and ABSOLUTELY discriminatory based on my location and not being able to be there physically. We called the dealership as soon as it open doors to buy a car they had listed. We spoke to "Kat".. We currently live in New Jersey, therefore we were going to purchase the car via phone. "Kat" told us that someone from the sales department would call us back, meanwhile we were told that a deposit would hold the car until someone from their sales department could call us back to finalize the transaction. So we were happy to put a $500 deposit to hold the car we were in love with... Also to be disclosed we offered to pay the entire amount of the car right from the first call we made it to the dealership. We were able to pay via: check, wire transfers, credit card, debit card.. there wasn't going to be any loans process because we had the money outright. When we asked if we could pay for the car.. Kat told us no. Which was a little odd to us but we still went along. The day went by and we never heard back from dealership. We followed up the entire day, calling the dealership asking for updates on the transaction -- as we had already set up a shipping company to pick up the car from the dealership to bring it to us to New Jersey. Each and every time we called they would tell us, all is well and that someone from sales would call us back soon.. Noone ever called.. Finally we got concerned because it was 5 p.m. and we still hadn't heard back. This time around we called and refused to hang up until we spoke to someone that will tell us what was going on. We finally spoke to Brian Nadeau who told us they HAD SOLD THE CAR! I could not believe my ears! I told Brian that couldn't be or maybe he was mistaken. I had given my deposit in order to purchase the car through Kat earlier in the morning. Brian Nadeu is listed to be one of the managers at Expressway Toyota. Brian clearly told me a deposit does not hold my car if I am not there. The priority is given to people that walk in the dealership and test drive the car. (mind you this is not the first car I buy via phone, so I know this is absolutely 100% percent false.) So Brian? you're telling me that you guys sold the car to someone else who came in the dealership despite I did all the right diligence. You said it's first come first serve -- I know we were first because we called the dealership when it first opened.. When we called we: 1. I offered to pay for the car outright when I first called and I was told no. 2. I was told to put a deposit down to hold the car - which I did. ( Weird, because I just wanted to pay for the car in full).. 3. I was told someone from the sales department will contact me to finalize the transaction. But noone ever did. So at 5pm I am notified my deposit is no good and that the car has been sold.. after trying to calm down I asked Brian if there is anything else he can do to help me out figure out another deal along with my budget. He said no- He said they had the car I was supposed to purchase but the brand new ones. Marked about 10k higher.. This is heartbreaking. By definition a security deposit at a car dealership holds the car until the full amount is paid for. I am not a first-time car buyer nor naive. This whole situation it's the result of someone in the dealership not doing their job correctly. I, as a consumer should not be paying for this mistake. Literally the worst customer service I have ever experienced, especially given the amount of money we are talking about! Of course before I came in I received multiple emails/call/texts. As soon as I put the down payment down - absolutely zero communication on their part for 8-9 days. I emailed and called 100's of times and no response. Their lack of response meant that the car wasn't ready on the date I was told I could pick it up. Please go to any dealer except this one. Edited to add: I am complaining about lack of communication. No email or call at all for eight days is entirely unacceptable especially when I called and emailed dozens if not hundreds of times. and the reason they delivered the car was because it was NOT ready when they said it would be. Seriously, go anywhere else. Further edited to add: less than one month after receiving car I had to bring it in for maintenance (to another location, no way am I going back to expressway!) and they had to replace the wipers, the speaker and the window gaskets. All of this should have been already taken care of as it was a certified pre-owned car. The location I took it to (Watertown) was so much more helpful and they were horrified that these items were not addressed before the car was given to me. STAY AWAY FROM EXPRESSWAY! read more

Extremely rude! Racist staff, slow with service and unapologetic. Went in with an appointment only to get an oil change. 3 hours later, yes 3 hours my car is ready. What was the sense of an appointment now don't get me wrong if your busy I get it but to not say "sorry for the wait" or offer coffee or water. Phew then on top of that it's like pulling teeth for your staff to talk or even answer a question. I'm all set with this location. Should have gone to Braintree- much better service read more
