The worst experience I've ever had with their repair shop. I bought my vehicle here previously which was an okay experience. When I needed one of the windows repaired, I called to ask about if anything was covered under my warranty and they directed me to bring in the vehicle. I brought it in and was told they could do the work so I left it with them for what they estimated would be a few days. There was a severe lack of communication on the status of my vehicle and it was impossible to get through to the person who was in charge of my case - I had to call no exaggeration 20 times throughout the course of the day to get through to the rep. and try to work out what the delay was. My case representative was extremely incompetent and delayed the work information by providing the wrong information to my insurance. My car should have been fixed within 3 days maximum, but took almost two weeks requiring me to waste money renting a car that I should not have needed. I will never return and I advise you do not either. read more

But I had an appointment set with Jean to buy a vehicle, it was his day off and he said he had a long drive, so to please let him know if I wouldn't be coming. He knew that I also had a 90 minute drive, and never felt the need to give me the courtesy of cancelling the appointment due to the vehicle being sold earlier in the day, or even showing up the the appointment himself. New shield and some screws/pins.. I went in for a regularly scheduled service at expressway and when I came out my car was making noises it had never made in the past. I became concerned with these noises and with the car Still under the mileage in my extended warranty I responded back to their text message inquiry about how my car had been acting since my service. They did not respond to my messages and then when I went back to get this checked out throughouly just over my extended warranty they claimed no responsibility for their lack of responsiveness or to the damage done to my car. I spent the next several days going back and forth with customer service and the general manager and they came to the conclusion that this was not the correct form of communication to use in which I inquired my complaint and they would not help me. I personally find this rather hard to understand given they opened the line of communication for the customer to use in the first place. My overall experience with this branch was terrible and the lack of empathy by upper management and there inability to take any responsibility for the situation have completely turned me off to not only this brand but toyota as a whole. You would think when I reached out to Toyota corporate regarding this issue they would of been able to help given I am a 25 year old consumer with years of purchasing ahead of me, but the customer service for corporate was no better they just a reminded me they would formally log the complaint. I am writing this for anyone thinking about purchasing a toyota car or truck I highly recommend against it as there customer service is a 2/10. If you plan on going to this Toyota dealership I would not as they damaged my car and took no responsibility. My next step is to get as far away from this brand as possible and I suggest you do the same. read more

On Saturday night 9/17/2022 about 5:45 P.M, I stopped by Toyota Expressway looking for a car to purchase. Jason Tan (salesman) helped to try the new Highlander 2022. I liked the car and decided to buy it at MSRP after negotiation. I put $5000 down. Paperwork financing late at or about 7:30-8P.M. (dealer closes at 6 P.M, only Jason Tan and Ali Bhatti (finance) there). They rushed me to sign the paperwork with 6.93% for 72 months. I showed both the Toyota ad displayed 2.5% for Highlander. They ignored and asked if I would pay off early then it does not matter what is the percentage number. It was late and I got pressure to sign in a hurry for them to leave. Bhatti kept pressured me to quick "click to sign" on the IPAD without much of explaining what all the terms were (you know the pressure buying car also plus the late after hours) The following of my requests had been REFUSED at that time: 1) Put more deposit with cash/check (by going home 5 mins from the dealer to get more money/check) 2) Come back the next business day to close the deal because it was very late after hours at or about 7:30 P.M-8 P.M (even already deposit) 3) Asked to lower to 60 months (insist 72 months because 48-72 months the same rate, and no matter what interest number if I plan to pay off early - both Jason and Bhatti stated) It was very unpleased and uncomfortable and disappointed experience. On Monday's afternoon (the next business day 9/19 2022, technically same day because paper work can't process on 8pm Sat) I called back and said I'm not picking up the car because you guys cheated me on the interest, and I got pushed to click signs without understanding the contract. The dealer refused to cancel. Steve Carter (Expressway Manager) called and refused to let me cancel this car contract (9/21, 2022) and offered lower rate. I offered that "please cancel and I'M WILLING TO GO BACK TO MAKE ANOTHER CAR DEAL WITH ANOTHER SALESMAN FOR BETTER EXPERIENCE". Steve refused. I contacted Toyota Corporation (on Toyota website), Toyota CFO, Toyota VPs, Expressway Toyota owners and Finance Director on Linkedin to tell my story (9/22, 2022). I got another called from Expressway Customer Service Manager(~4:30 P.M September 22,2022) stated , "no matter what you do, we won't cancel". I stopped by again and another manager Ron said "it's your fault, you already signed. You shouldn't. And you can refinance with your banks after pick up the car" I filed a complained with Attorney General Office on 9/23, 2022. Filed 30 days demanding letter. I won't pick up the car and i know i will lose some credit scores, some thousand dollars (for legal and others) but that completely fine instead of pick up the car from these crooks. This is by far the worst Toyota dealership I've ever been to as far as services go. I booked an appointment for an oil change.... 2 hours later my oil change is still not done. A 20-40 minute MAX process is still on the dock 2 hours later. This place is embarrassing and I'm not the only one with this issue. It's not even like they are priced the cheapest. Management needs to get more people in here working as well as get their system in place to TAKE THEIR APPOINTMENTS FIRST AND NOT OVERBOOK. There were barking dogs running all over the dealership without a leash. I felt very uncomfortable. They were super busy and I had to be in the waiting room for hours with dogs everywhere. These were not service animals. They belonged to folks who worked there and a customer. None had a leash. I think that it is simply rude to subject paying customers to this. If I wanted to be in a dog park for the afternoon, I would have visited one. I will not return. They have lost a customer by catering to some who love their dogs. What about the rest of us. Brought my car in for a maintenance check a few months back. Found out after that they didn't check the air pressure in my tires. They were down to almost 20 psi. But I thought this was something they could check while rotating my tires? This could've put me a risk for a flat. I went here because this is where I bought my car. It's half an hour away from where I live. The purchasing process was probably okay. I was just desperate for a new car because my old one died. So when I went to complete a maintenance check at my local town not even 5 minutes away, they got it all done. They even went and fixed my tires when they were low in psi without me specifically asking to. So I can say for certain that I've been to a better Toyota and would not recommend coming here if you don't live nearby. read more

Listen up people and pay close attention. Do not go to this chop shop under any circumstances. Owners do not care, service staff is unprofessional and rude and no one keeps track of their employees. Last year I took my 2015 Highlander into their shop because of battery issues. I was told I needed anew battery, needed the battery terminals cleaned and an oil change. I got the car back and started to have issues with the battery again. Car would start but reluctantly. I also noticed that the sticker for the oil change had not been updated to reflect the current mileage and service date. Since I was not driving all that much because of COVID, taking the vehicle slipped my mind. In December I had hip replacement surgery. Two weeks after the surgery I had to go to the doctor. It was a bitterly cold day. I went to the car, on crutches, and it would not start. I called the dealership and told them what was happening They suggested that I have the car towed to the dealership. WE live less than a half mile form the place and I told them about my situation. I then opened the hood of the car and much to my horror, the original battery was still there and the terminals had never been cleaned. Mind you I pad over $00 back in September for all of this work to be done. Guess what? I was the victim of fraud. I called the dealership and told them to get someone to the house immediately or else I would file a police report for fraud and theft. I then spoke with the customer service manager who told me that they could not find any evidence that the new battery was put into my vehicle and they could not find the battery. I was told that an employee stole the battery and that the employee was terminated. Well, they tried to cover everything up by offering me a free oil change, even though there was no evidence that the technician in question had even changed the oil in the first place. Stay away. Talk about a circle of silence and criminal activity. No apologies, no letters nothing. I did ask for a letter about the investigation but apparently they have decided not to talk to me, so I am pursuing this in court. read more

I've been to a Nissan dealership where I felt like the salesperson was trying to scam me. Everyone in there seemed like scum bags. Plus they have outrageous prices. I've been to a specific Honda dealership multiple times. They've actually had a lot of my business and I continued to go to the same dealership because I love Honda vehicles. This dealership made me feel like I was nothing to them and that my business didn't matter even though I've leased 4 cars from them in the past. At Expressway Toyota, you're truly getting good customer service. My husband and I worked with Datrin and he really is an awesome salesman. We had a very long complicated transaction, but that's the process no matter where you go. Datrin never made us feel uncomfortable or like they were taking advantage of us. He made sure we knew exactly what we were signing and explained everything clearly to us. After spending quite some time there, he stayed and waited for us to get out of the finance office before he left for the day. Finance was a super easy and painless process as well, this had never been my experience with car financing office in the past. So with all this being said, though I do love Honda cars, I prefer to leave the dealership WITHOUT a pounding headache. I really appreciate good people who actually care about customers. It leaves a lasting impression when people do their job right without trying to squeeze all the money they can out of you. Expressway Toyota is where I'll be going from now on! I would give a 0 if I could. This dealership scams people, specifically Tony. I bought a Rav4 from them with a trade-in, but they gave me a trade-in value that they claim to be "the best." They told us that the car's brake wasn't good and that it wasn't drivable anymore. They would still take our car, but it will be destroyed. They were "nice" about it and let us drive the car away on the day of purchase because they were worried about the danger. It wasn't until after I bought the car that a friend told us that the car was in very good condition and that they gave us at least $5,000 + less than its worth. I was also surprised at that time in Toyota when they say the brake is dangerous because I don't feel the brake was bad when driving. The brake seems better than other cars I've drove before. Furthermore, I have been asking for the backup keys for about a year and a half now but nothing was done. I ask Tony about the keys and they say it will come at around November 2023 (11 months later). We went around that time to ask for the keys and he said it's not here yet. So, I went again in January 2024 and they said that I need to order it at the service center. Tony never told us about that. I went in again in April and they say it's not ready yet. They say they will have it ready the next day and will call me. But they never did. Two days later I called the service center to check. After telling them my situation, they said they will transfer me to someone. I was put on voicemail because the other person didn't pick up. I left a voicemail, and didn't received any call back. For context, I wasn't able to get both keys when I purchased the car because they said there is a shortage of keys??? At this point of time I have asked them multiple times already, way more than I should. Nothing against Toyota, but stay away from this dealership! A little over a week ago I came here ready to test drive a corolla I saw online. I walked in with my daughter and all of the sales agents were in a large group talking amongst themselves. I walk up to the front desk in the middle of the store and just stood there waiting to be greeted or acknowledged... ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! No one approached me and asked if I needed assistance smh... As I proceed to exit, one sales agent [that was already working with a customer] runs after me and advises he can assist. Seats me and my child at his coworkers desk and goes back to his original customer... 45 mins later, still no test drive or further assistance. I get up and leave. Here comes the sales agent chasing after me YET AGAIN... This time I was pissed and let him know I was all set! I did however thank him for trying. Out of ALL OF THE SALES AGENTS in that store lollygagging around, he at least made an attempt to assist! This has to be the worst customer service I've experienced in a dealership EVER IN MY LIFE! I would NOT recommend this place. I ended up purchasing a vehicle from North End Motors the next day (review coming soon)... So this place is pretty unremarkable. Just a standard car dealership on the south side of Boston filled with a bunch of people who only kind of care about helping you out. If you go here, keep your wits about you and go in having done your homework and be ready to walk out if your time is being wasted (as I did). Also, make sure you ask them what they need from you bc my experience involved me having to go back and get more info they should have easily asked me for up front. Had an issue with the tags on my new car (leased car with vanity plates, so i understand the extra steps), had to drop the car off for a full day, then they needed more insurance information that was a bit peculiar, then they ended up not being able to do it even though they had the car the whole day and have done this before bc they're a car dealership. Took it in the next day (had to take the day off from work... pretty annoyed at this point), waited for 2.5 hours with a bit of runaround from the guy, then just walked out bc I'm not wasting a second day (oversimplified for brevity). read more

Short of the long, they lost a customer over $150 TOPS. After I went to prime Toyota and got a good deal on a vehicle they actually had. Before I went in to look at a vehicle they were great with following up with me. Constant e-mails, when an you come in, etc. When I went in I thought I was getting a good deal but later found out that I wasn't. I went back and spent around three hours there on a Saturday. They agreed to the deal with an added a few hundred dollars on. I agreed to it and then they came back an added more on because they said it did not include the first months payment which the original amount did per the fine print. I agree to the additional amount again and was then told they would contact me, of course after running my card. I was supposed to hear back within nine days. Never got a phone call. Four days later went into the dealership and spoke to a manager who said HE would call me the next day and he never did. He assured me it would be him who reached out the next morning. Went back down to the dealership when I didn't hear anything in the afternoon. The manger said one of them was supposed to call me (again the day before he said he would call me) and they "offered" to cover my first months payment. I noted that I paid for it 2x already and the original options were to cover my rental or the frost months payment and I said I wanted the rental covered. They said no, we'll only cover your first months payment. Probably $150 difference at most and they said no, even after I agreed to over $600 more throughout the process. Won't be going back there. Guess it's gong to be a z4 over a Supra for a fun car. read more

I reached out to this dealership regarding a vehicle in their inventory, and I was pleased to find that it was available and that they didn't charge a market premium. After confirming the final price, I dropped everything to travel 90 minutes to the dealership (apparently, they charge a deposit of $3000 by phone vs. $1000 at the office). When I arrived I found that, oh, oops, the person I spoke to was mistaken; they actually charge $3000 over market right now. Tl;dr: Don't waste your time on this dealership; they wasted my day and tried to exploit me for an extra $3000. read more

So I have been leasing with Expressway Toyota for years but I have to say my best experience to date was today. Chris Moody was my salesman and he literally exemplifies SERVICE. Funny, helpful and HE DIDN'T waste my time. Dealing with car dealerships is on par with going to the dentist for me.... as in "I'd rather do ANYTHING other than this"- but Chris made this experience awesome. If I could give ten stars I would. Everyone else was also incredibly welcoming and helpful but if you're in the market to buy or lease try and work with Chris Moody. read more

I am very displeased with the level of service from this dealership. For context, I have purchased two vehicles from this dealership and receive my service checks from them as well. I take issue with the price fluctuations of some of their services particular the detailing they get through an outside vendor. I was given a quote for this service which I agreed to. I was then notified that the price I was quoted was only for a normal detail and that the condition of my vehicle exceeded the standard for what constituted a normal detail. At no point during the initial quote of service was I informed that the price was contingent on the condition of the vehicle. They were unwilling to make a concession on the price which they had raised by $35. I don't espouse to the "customer is always right" way of thinking but I do believe a concession could have been made in this instance. I have grown quite disenchanted with this dealership over the years and will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

I get that buying a car means you have to play the game. Dealerships are notorious for playing the game. However, I think you can run an efficient business and be a genuine sales person without being slimy or unprofessional. Out of all the dealerships I saw over the course of several days looking for a specific type of car, Expressway Toyota wasn't the worst and they weren't the best. They were slightly below average, which isn't great when you're making such a big purchase. The first time I went in, I told the sales person what I was looking for and he told me that they only had one of the types of vehicles I was interested in in stock. He was kind enough and not terribly pushy. We test drove the one vehicle that was in stock. A couple of days later, I saw online that Expressway Toyota had a different type of vehicle that I was interested in that they had told me wasn't in stock when I went the first time. So, I called and made an appointment to see that specific car. I was there within the hour, on time, and come to find out, the car I was looking for had been sold. It was such a frustrating experience and showed me that the dealership overall isn't a well-run, efficient business nor well-organized. I ended up purchasing a very similar vehicle at a different Toyota dealership. In the future, if I can help it, I will not return to expressway Toyota. It wasn't a terrible experience but it was quite frustrating. read more

If I could give less than one star, I would. Horrible, horrible dealer loyalty and service to customers. They allowed a deal to fall through for $168 even though I bought several cars from them. Managers do not return calls. One manager named Brian claimed that I was "mean" to him previously but when I asked him how was I mean, he couldn't answer. This dealer do not give a damn about your loyalty to them, they will screw you every chance they get. Do yourself a favor and go to another dealer! They see impressionable people walk in the door and do everything they can to take advantage of them. She decided not to move forward with buying/leasing but they now won't refund her and won't even take her calls or get her in touch with anyone that could help. Bought a new car from here and this is the first time where the dealership has failed to provide my new car with an inspection sticker that I assume I paid for within the bulk $399 extra fees that they charge. The sales guy had the nerve to tell me to go get the inspection myself. Are you f**king serious? ARENT YALL SUPPOSED TO GET IT?
