Bedbug-ridden bedsheets for over a week not changed as promised by front desk lady this morning .. so unacceptable
    Ari C.

I came from my doctor's appointment on December 11,2024 and I called the front desk to inquire about housekeeping since it's been nine days since I checked in and their housekeeping policy is 8-9 days after check -in . This front desk agent stated that it had to be done the following day .So I called the following morning on December 12th and Carla , the female front desk agent stated it will be done as confirmed . I came back after a long and stressful day at work and to my shock and dismay , the sheets have not been changed and the towels were scattered about on the floor . I was so appalled that I called the front desk agent that night and asked for a room change . It was a long day and o was tired and as soon as I got inside the room , I almost had a severe asthma attack and I had bed bugs from the previous night . Vanessa , the front desk agent that night , offered me fresh sheets and towels with the room getting cleaned the following day . On the night of December 19th , a week after the last cleaning service was done ,i asked to be put on the housekeeping board which the front desk agent confirmed . I called the front desk agent Nick who told me there was a shortage and it had to be done the following day after he asked me to come to the front desk and demanded me to come back in which was rude . I went to the front desk agent again that night and the female front desk agent confirmed o was on the list . On my way out this morning , I called the front desk agent and a male rep stated they have a shortage of housekeepers and it may not be done today . He even had the nerve to call me back to confirm it may not be guaranteed and I assume it was the same ride front desk agent Nick that called .This is nothing but the runaround so I agree with all the reviews being worse than mine stating that no housekeeping ever came to clean their rooms . They are always short-staffed and unprofessional . This is the reason why I am sick more than half the time here .STAY AWAY . Front desk agent especially Nick is horribly rude . Now I was told there was only one maid today tasked with cleaning the entire property which is ridiculous as if they can't hire an extra person to tidy up the rooms on the list . If that was the case , I'm sure they could have prioritized my room since I had been asking for housekeeping for three nights in a row and each night I was asking for new sheets , they told me they were washing a huge load when I was otherwise informed laundry is done during the day . Crazy ...

Old af cabinet, sticky old floor and beat up appliance.

Put it bluntly, this building needs to be demolished, burnt down to the ground so they can restart afresh. I have no idea what kind of health code or standards this establishment is running on but if there is any my guess it's the standards of a slum in an under-privileged, under-developed country. Starting from the checkin process everything was crummy. They were doing power washing upstairs and dirty water was just straight up flushed down RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE MAIN ENTRANCE. Like a water park! Wanna play quickly pass the gate so you don't get drenched? Yeah that was the entrance experience. Only you really don't want that water touching you cuz it's power washed grime from their dirty nasty floor. Once I made it through the entrance, I was greeted by the stage boss, Troy. I'm not gonna waste much time describing this individual. You can read other peoples experience. Although he didn't give me much hard time or attitude, I can assure you they're not joking or exaggerating. One thing I'll echo is that he asked me a lot of questions pertaining to why I picked their location, almost as if he knew the building is a slum and I looked outta place checking in here. Once I got checked in, I brought a couple stuff in to the room. And first thing that greeted me was the strong musky stench. It almost smells like a smoking room despite its non-smoking. Perhaps it's mold? Idk. It wasn't pleasant to say the least. I then reluctantly checked the rest of the room. Disgusting corners around the room, unknown liquid drip stain along side the walls, sticky old beat up wooden floor, sticky kitchen counter top, absolutely old AF wood cabinet that looks like it was last installed in 1980. Jeez, the list goes on. I reluctantly checked the bathroom and the bed. Shower at least works and the bed is wrapped in bed bug protection sheet. After that my partner came in and needless to say she was appalled. Just as we were discussing how a place like this would likely be infested with browny, there came one. For context, she's deathly afraid of roach so we call it browny instead. Luck for us it was a dying one that magically appeared in the tub. I can assure you when I checked the shower it wasn't there cuz I ran the water and the shower head. So within about 10-15min of coming into the room, a browny appeared. I can only imagine the size of the swarm that's lurking in the darkness of this cursed building. Upon seeing that, we quickly grabbed all of our belongings, packed the car again and went to the front desk to request checkout. I was expecting Troy to give me a hard time base on my checkin experience. Surprisingly, he gave me a full refund without saying much. Almost as if he expected that. The one thing I would share is that I was trying to explain why we couldn't possibly stay after seeing a browny, he gave me one of those SUPER forced fake smile and a snarky "I said OK" I've never been in a nastier Extended Stay and I've been to many throughout the states. I'm not kidding when I said the worst Motel6 I stayed in the middle of the California desert was better than this cuz at the minimum I was able to tolerate a night. This place? I couldn't bear it even one night let alone a long stay. Avoid at all cost.

Worst place ever Every negative review 100 percent true Employees tell you things never address 30 days not 1 housekeeping visit

unidentifiable substance on the ceiling, possibly blood?

absolutely disgusting. My Sister and I came down here for a two day crash course for our real estate license. We checked in about 530 pm. The first room they gave us was on the backside, obviously activity going on at the back. Look like drug activity. Went back to the office, asked him, less activity there however, the room was disgusting. I don't recommend that you go there. PoOr Customer Service no hello, no greeting. it was late and we were tired so we went ahead and stayed. never again. even though the second room was nicer than the first room, I definitely would never ever stay there again. if I could, I would rate this zero stars

Raise your hand if you stayed at a hotel where you had to fully make your own bed? Well I have. I checked in with a rude and careless attendant. He didnt tell me where my room was, breakfast or wifi information. When I got to my room we soon checked the bed and noticed that it wasn't clean. The sheets were stained and with a bunch of hair on each blanket and cover. We called the front desk to get this resolved before 5pm. It's 6. Nothing. I go down at 615 to ask what's going on and it's a new guy at the desk and he apologized for the inconvenience and said no notes were left so he would send the maid up to fix it. It's now 730. Nothing. 8pm NO one has still came. We call the front desk again. A while later the guy comes with bags of blankets and says nothing. Wtf? Your people need help and training. It's a old place which is what it is. Can't won't complain over that BUT we went to give our daughter a bath and the freakin paint in the tub is chipping off as it tub is filling. Hell no this isn't safe. Also there was no type of body soap or hair products to wash. We go down for breakfast....or what they call breakfast. Coffee yes but what's to eat is a tiny muffin and granola bar. It was no fruit or anything else. Nothing to drink like milk or oj for kids? Hell not even water to drink I would rat them a 0 if possible

First of all, there were no other hotel rooms available in Brea, and we were only there to sleep after an event.. but still, I really was hoping for a better first hotel stay experience for my daughter. A disgustingly dirty and run down room at the Extended Stay America in Brea, Ca. It was SHOCKING! Cabinets were grimy, broken and peeling, kitchen stove tops were rusted out, bed sheets were untidy, bed ruffles were extremely wrinkled, door jams were filthy, bathroom had makeup stains on counters, and not even a soap dish or tray to place the tiny packaged soap after using it. Honestly, who would want to use soap after it had to sit on the counter that didn't look sanitized. We ended up using shampoo as hand soap. I had to iron my clothes on a rickety ironing board that wobbled terribly. It was as if everything was purchased from a garage sale! I was embarrassed for the employees and couldn't even imagine having to admit to friends where they worked. The owners should be ashamed of themselves! If it hadn't been so late and we weren't so exhausted after my daughter's event, we would not have stayed in the hotel. As it is, we got up early in the morning just so we could leave ASAP!

    Bathroom

It's not nice at all. Should have read the reviews first like i always do but was in a rush! First room smelt horrible and i asked for another room....second wasn't any better. Staff at the desk was nice about it but it's still a absolute no for me.

    Dry food (I hope)

Worse extended stay I have ever stayed! Idk if I just got the worse room or what but it was quite an experience. The only reason why I didn't leave the hotel was because we were super tired since we had been driving all day and also because we didn't see that tub until the following morning when we we're getting ready to check out. Not only updated but so freaking dirty. Parents with little ones think twice before staying here. There are other Extended stays that are affordable and way better. By the way my room with one king bed was $200+. The manager did offer a credit for the room fee.

This was the worst place ever! Was recommened by the American cancer society. Why would you send patients to the dirtiest place with all the germs. We had a horrible experience with staff trying to get in your room late at night saying they are just trying to see if you checked in. How do you not know if someone checked in when they check in at front desk and they gave you keys to your room. Good thing for latch on door because they deicided to just open door On us on there own between 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 pm. This happened to other family members as well in others rooms. I do not recommend this place and American Cancer Society should be ashamed of sending patients to such a shady and filthy place.

A huge water feature on the atrium's ground floor relaxes guests during their phenomenal complimentary breakfast. And our small balcony provided views of the Puente Hills as a backdrop behind Brea's Birch Street. Despite being a 36-year-old hotel, it's been modernized and updated quite nicely. The pool is surrounded by trees and very private. The rooms are incredibly quiet. Maybe the only downside is that guests have to pay a daily rate for parking a car in the garage beneath the hotel. You'd think this would be included in the rather steep price we paid for a corner suite, or at least for us Hilton Honors loyalty members for nearly 20 years now! But all the other aspects about this facility are nice.

So, my experience with Hilton and this property is vast. This property a few years ago did go through an upgrade to the front entrance, lobby, front desk area, and the main dining area that is beyond the lobby. The remodel or update though done a few years back is excellent. It is very inviting and exactly what you would expect from a Hilton Embassy Suites property. Devin and the front desk team are exceptional! Prompt, professional, and very customer service oriented. Beyond those two notable items in which this property shines, it falls off a steep cliff after that! The rooms are dated. They are dingy. They are marked up, beat up and rusted in various parts of the rooms (or at least the ones I have stayed in). Some of the rooms have drawers that do not close so they are open. Some of the phones do not work int he rooms. Lamp fixtures are crooked because they are old and just beat up. There are stains on sofa's, walls, counter tops, etc. In the shower, there are yellow rust stains and cracks throughout. Toilet paper simply doesn't stay on the bar so it's often rolling off and onto the floor. Housekeeping is lack luster. Trying to get a room that has the adequate towels, wash clothes, coffee, etc. is almost comical at this point. The parking garage which they now charge for is consistent with other Hilton properties, but the issue is it's old. I am not sure who owns the garage as the salon next door uses it as well. The spaces are narrow. Trash builds up in the cans. Lots of areas taped off. Some cracks and pipes that have either leaked or previously caused damage. While it is a park at your own risk, I would expect Hilton to have these issues fixed to be a better space for their guests who do need to park there. The property is in a great location for restaurants, nightlife, shopping etc. It's just gotten to the point that Hilton needs to overhaul the rooms and garage at this point. Staying at a Hampton Inn these days, trumps this property and that is just sad.

Most recently when I was working with an Internet company required to be in the field, I got extremely busy with phone calls, and had a huge deposit along with my booking for my room. When it was due to be rebooked, I wound rush downstairs since they would not take payment over the phone. One day, Ivonne, I believe, had called and informed me they had to re run my card, I was on the other line with my manager from work. She got extremely hostile with me and I hung up the phone on her. I had around $1500 deposit on hold for several days, I told her I would come re extend downstairs. She raised her voice and tone and I hung up the call, she called back and asked: "Did you just hang up on me? ", knowing I had a $1500 deposit on my room I was looking for my card to rebook. When I hung up the call, she called back and stated I could not rebook due to hanging up the call on her (very weird and personal I know), then I told her I would come down with the card to rebook, and she proceeds to say: "No you are not rebooking", and I asked to speak to higher management, and she stated she was higher management, and to leave the property. She got on a power trip and I had been staying there for a few weeks already, and wanted to speak to higher management about telling me to leave. She then jumps straight to saying: "And now you're getting abrasive, so if you do not leave the property, I will calling the police department". So at that point, not only was I being rudely told to leave with a large deposit on file (around $1500) she also threatened me with the police when I simply responded to her questions over the phone, she accused me of doing something I was not doing . I didn't actually have time to even argue with her since my boss kept calling me on the other line. I used to love staying here because they provide breakfast and meals. There are sketchy workers in the parking lot when you come and go at late hours of the night if you are alone. IVONNE HAS A TERRIBLE ATTITUDE, I NOTICED THIS THE FIRST WEEK OF MY CHECK IN WHEN I COMPLIMENTED HER HAIRCUT, AND SHE BATTED HER EYES AND SAID "THANK YOU" AND PROCEEDED TO CUT ME OFF SO SHE CAN REVERT BACK TO THE RESERVATION DISCUSSION, LOL she is super rude (I WAS JUST BEING FRIENDLY SINCE I HAD BEEN DRIVING ALL DAY AND WAS GLAD TO REST UP). There was a carpet between the beds, which provided warmth and was very thoughtful; most hotels have just cold bare flooring everywhere. BATHROOM The bathroom was well lit with a huge mirror and a very spacious shower with a sliding door. The toilet is at a normal level, not on the ground like some other hotels. Which is a big deal! The hair dryer was a normal, decent size, making it easy to dry off and access for a one-night stay without having to carry one in luggage. Usually hotels offer a puny tiny hair dryer with no power. This was something that exceeded my expectations. The shower did have trouble warming up, but the staff was more than willing and ready to take a look at it if anyone encounter this turn the sink on either hot or cold until the shower warms up a tip the hotel service gave. The bathrooms on the lobby floor were surprisingly great. There was a beautiful interior design on the doors and well-maintained amenities that were open to use for even non hotel guests, it wasn't any ordinary nasty public bathroom.

HORRIBLLY HARD BEDS. The pool was empty. There was very little water pressure in the morning and the water was not hot - they had had some plumbing issues, but neglected to tell us this before our visit so we didn't have the opportunity to look elsewhere. The hallway to our room looked like a dated Motel 6. Did I mention that the BED WAS HARD AS A ROCK!??? And my husband had a problem with the internet. The staff were helpful, and that was THE ONLY THING good about the hotel. To which the manager replied... We deeply regret the aspects of your stay that did not meet your expectations. The entire facility was quiet and in a nice place, close to Anaheim's packing district and downtown Fullerton (Which I totally discovered by accident!) The rooms were very clean and well organized, and it felt very home-like. After spending a day out and about, it was nice coming "home" to a quiet place where I could just unwind after a long day. I actually have never bothered to watch TV in any hotel I've ever stayed in, but I did this time. It was actually nice to be able to do that. The following morning after we arrived, we had gone to breakfast about an hour before it ended and there was variety, but I totally wish that there was a waffle making machine, I thought there was going to be one! :( Also, the Wi-Fi wasn't working, it kept disconnecting, so I had to rely on my data. When we checked out, we were also treated kindly and with happiness. With the overall experience, I recommend that you stay here. I didn't feel like I was being watched or put under a microscope, like how I've experienced at other hotels. The energy was pleasant and I believe I had seen them cleansing their space, which was awesome to see! If I'm ever back in the area, I will book here again! Many thanks to the folks at Travelodge!

The white towel were blue for some reason. BLEACH or some sort of whiting agent? A "hot" shower water was warm. The fan in bathroom sounded like a roadster. The soap was from last century. It broke into pieces as I opened the small package. The price of the room was inexpensive. That should of been my first clue. Clean room. But my white socks looked as if I had walked out side without my shoes on...dirty floors. This was my mistake for not doing a bit more research. Thank goodness it was just an over night stay. I recently captured a wedding here, and it is a premier choice for couples who want their wedding to feel elevated, modern, and distinct. What makes this venue so special for photography is the seamless blend of historic charm and high-end modern upgrades. The restoration is stunning--you get the soul of a historic property but with a polished, eclectic aesthetic that feels incredibly refreshing and fun to experience for your stay or guest experience. From the rich textures in the getting-ready room and bridal makeup suites, to the sun-soaked courtyard, their grand staircase for a private moment, along with their cocktail lounge, every corner is a curated backdrop that lends itself to a sophisticated and nostalgic environment. The event and venue team are true professionals who understand the flow of a high-end event, while balancing exceptional hospitality for wedding weekend stays. Their attention to detail allows the couple to remain present, which is essential for me to capture those raw, documentary moments and artistic, "in-between" shots during the wedding day. For engaged couples who view their wedding as a special investment, and want a venue that feels like a boutique editorial set that truly speaks for itself, The Richland is totally unmatched in Orange County. I'm already looking forward to my next wedding weekend here with another amazing couple!

Location was good although no you cannot walk to Disneyland. You are walking distance to Sprouts, Target, and some small eateries, and right off the 91. Short drive to Disneyland. Each person at the front desk was nice, kind, and helpful. Parking is complimentary and we were allowed to stay parked there after checkout which was appreciated. Breakfast wasn't the best, but acceptable considering it was included with the stay. A lot of carbs and meat. The eggs weren't normal scrambled eggs but some type of patty with stuff mixed it that seemed questionable lol. Coffee though was very good. Just had a yogurt (would recommend though that they get some plain yogurt because the ones they had all had fruit or vanilla in as it's extra sugar) and a piece of fruit. The motel includes a complimentary shuttle to Disneyland and back which I took advantage of. Note if you are looking to rope drop, you will want to find another way to get there as the first shuttle is at 7:30 AM so not enough time but it worked out well for me. This is great value when you think about it as it's $40 to park at Disneyland and the more affordable motels walking distance to the park are often gross and you have to pay to park there as well. Room was clean, water pressure was good in the shower, and having a fridge was nice to have as I had some leftover food from dinner (front desk staff was kind enough to allow me to store a to go box after check out which was very much appreciated). Only suggestions I have is that management respond to email as I tried to reach them before my stay a couple of time with zero response. Also breakfast could be better for an IHG property which is normally pretty good. I'd recommend hard boiled eggs, normal scrambled eggs, and home fries which I typically see at IHG properties. All in all, would easily return and recommend to other people.
