I'm really not sure which motel these other reviewers stayed in but it certainly doesn't seem like we're referring to the same place. I'm going to go ahead and assume that these folks simply didn't get their deposits back because they smoked in the room as it seems more like bitterness than actual fact. Upon check in, late night with a list minute 3rd party booking, the owner was quite pleasant, to say the least. We were greeted with a warm welcome and a quick run down of your typical motel/hotel rules, including not smoking in the room. Don't get me wrong, I'm not hating on smokers. I'm a cigarette smoker myself however I have the decency to comprehend that not everyone smokes and the pungent smell tends to linger and thus cheapen what it touches. The motel itself has quite outdone itself and even it's name, as "Regency" is far more fitting than the "motel" part. These people have obviously put a lot of work into the rooms and should honestly be quite proud of them. I'm a sucker for a jacuzzi suite and this is one of the better ones I've ever stayed in if not the best. The jacuzzi itself is big enough for four even ( if that's your thing) as my husband and I were practically swimming in it. It's surrounded by a large granite top and the wall is decorated with beautiful tiling and freshly painted walls with a lovely well built crown molding along the ceiling. The jacuzzi area even had it's own recessed lighting and fan so the room doesn't get muggy. Check out was a breeze with a full refund on the deposit and another warm smile as we returned our key and said goodbye. If you're in the area, this little motel (which is more of a so-tell than a no-tell) is definitely worth checking out or rather, into. My husband and I stayed here in the jacuzzi suite, $160 a night plus $100 refundable security deposit. I called to arrange to stay in this motel earlier the same day, i spoke to a man and a woman separately (i called 2x). I first talked to the man , asking basic room info, and asking if I can pay extra for late checkout which he asked what time we'd like to late checkout, I said 1pm latest, he said thats fine it would be a $10 charge. The second time (10 min later after first call), a woman picked up, and she helped me to pre-pay over the phone with card to secure the jacuzzi suite. I didnt get a online confirmation or receipt which i will make sure to get next time to avoid confusion (as stated below). When we arrived they said the jacuzzi suite wasnt available and didnt have our reservation. We ended up working it out and was able to stay in the jacuzzi suite. The next day they knocked on our door around 11:20am and said we had to get going....they forgot we also wanted a late checkout. Regardless, this is a family run business and i go out of my way to support these types of business instead of going to big chain companies. This was the only problems we had and they weren't a big deal at all. I especially like that they make it clear smoking, vaping, and weed isnt allowed in the rooms, so this also reduces "party people" and thus makes it a peaceful, quiet place to stay which i really appreciate. ( If you smoke u can smoke outside/in ur car i believe.) Lots of restaurants/ drive thru / 7 11 around, and also safe parking here. This motel got a recent renovation, the outside and inside of the motel looks very clean, simple modern design, nice lighting. The cable tv was okay, the channels are numbered oddly but they have everything for everyone. This was seriously a luxurious room for us, we were pleasantly surprised how nice it was. I forgot to take a picture! The jacuzzi is across the TV and has mirrors around the walls, we watched friends as we relaxed in the big spacious jacuzzi. The jacuzzi itself was big enough for 3 average sized people...and the jets were strong, perfect. Room has a mini fridge, microwave, drawers for clothes, desk, shower, big queen bed, small coffee tables with outlets on them. The neighborhood seemed safe even at night. Id definitely recommend this motel because its rare to find a safe, clean, modern style, taste of luxury motel that isnt expensive. The regular rooms are around $85 with $50 refundable security deposit, and jacuzzi suite again is $160 with $100 sec dep. Well worth it! Just make sure to get a confirmation receipt , everything else was amazing. This place is TRASH!! I needed a place to stay for the night, me and my mother. I ordered this room online from Arizona. As this was my sisters graduation night. We got to the motel and right off the bat when getting here was not as picture look. We entered the room and did not like what I saw for $115 motel room with 2 queen beds. First off the room smelled. Looking around I noticed things were not updated at all as they say they are!!. Walls were nasty, dresser drawers missing knobs, a/c didn't get that cold, bathroom was gross, no toilet paper either! My main concern was the beds absolutely fucking hard as a rock!! Could not sleep at all! Pillows we also flat no cushion at all. This place is a hell whole. Being in brea/Fullerton u would think it would be an updated place despite the outside looks, but no inside even worse. Save ur money and get a better place!! Do ur research!! Newly renovated. Was a great value. Spacious rooms with LG tv, new ac units, workspace, and nice furniture. Particularly enjoyed the mirror/lighting and granite (or marble not sure) bathroom top, reminiscent of a much more expensive room. This is a nice place. The room was emasculate. Everything was in order and it looks like it was recently updated (floors counters, etc). It looks good. The only thing that I think would really make a difference is the lighting, in the room. All of the lights were fluorescent and very bright white light! If the lights were a warmer color, it would have been more inviting and relaxing. read more

I booked this place the day of checking in because my friends and I made a sponty trip to Disneyland and was pleasantly surprised. Although the outside may seem a little sketch, the inside of the room was cozy, well-kept and came with a lot of amenities: fridge, microwave, TV, cable, and wi-fi. Plus, the price of the room (especially one near Disneyland) was extremely cheap. Also, the guy at the front desk was really nice and hospitable. Usually one would expect a grumpy troll staring you down questioning your life choices when you check into a motel at midnight... But that didn't happen here! As a motel goes, this is pretty good. $55 dollars a night, 70 something channels and recently remodeled. There is still a little minor touch up work needed ie. painting, bathroom tub. But it doesn't take away from the comfort. The room is quite spacious, and the bed is comfy. The air conditioning if pretty good. They also have a microwave and fridge. Ample Lighting as well. Overall a pretty comfortable stay; I stayed here the other night and came back again, so needless to say, I would come back. I recommend this to anybody looking for budget and comfort! read more

I really wanted this motel to be great but honestly it was a bad experience and a waste of money. 1. When I entered the room there was the odor of a homeless person that filled the room. When I asked the cleaning person to come take whiff to see if it was just me, she refused. When I asked to change rooms I was told they were completely booked with no other rooms available. 2. Being a clean freak, I decided to go to the stater bros. up the street and pick up some 409 and cinnamon scented pine cones (it's that time of year). So I spent the better half of an hour cleaning my own room which included the floors, end tables, toilet and shower. I enjoy cleaning so to be honest it didn't really bother me. Plus the room was only $70.00 + 409 ($2.79) + Pine Cones ($4.99).... I was still at a pretty good deal for the room. 3. I decided to relax so I pulled back all of the covers and searched for any bugs and/or critters. To my delight it was spotless! This was good news! 4. During the middle of the movie I was watching (World War Z, epic movie) I shifted my body over and accidentally pulled the sheets up. Then I noticed that the sheets were covering dried blood. I was immediately freaked out and decided it was my time to move on. 5. Upon packing my bags I then went to the front desk and explained all that had happened. Unfortunately, the manager explained that I had been in the room too long (2 hours or so) and that "Maybe the blood was mine..." I was very offended and explained that I had just seen the blood or I would have come much sooner. He said "sorry there is nothing I can do...". So I decided to leave and plan on reporting him to the BBB as he is registered. In the end, I am completely aware that this is a motel and not a five star hotel. But really blood? No hotel/motel would ever find this as begin acceptable and I found it very difficult that they did. Spend the extra $20.00 - $30.00 for a nicer place. read more

I wasn't expecting much when I booked this place and that's what I got. Pros - no bugs, quiet, clean linens, and the bathroom was updated with good water pressure. Cons - random hair stuck to the walls of the bathroom and on my pillow, stiff uncomfortable mattress, flat pillows, and the beds weren't made after the second night. Arrived on a Friday afternoon. First thing I noticed is that the hotel is in a fantastic area. Good neighborhood, off of a main street. Close to shopping, freeways and restaurants. The owner and operator was very kind, polite and professional. I went to my room, which had a jacuzzi tub (special for the room), microwave, mini fridge, desk and dresser. All the lights worked. The room was clean and well maintained. Bed was a little squeaky, but comfortable. Motel is a little old, but has a nice flat screen and is comfortable. For the price, location, and service - I was definitely very well pleased. When I am in the area again, I will probably stay at the same place! read more

70 dollars for one night, well you get what you pay for. The bed... Pillow cases had hair on them. We had to ask for toilet paper. Toilet ran all night. So the place was dirty. So in the morning as I'm packing up to leave I get a knock on the door @ 11am on the dot. Front desk asking "are you staying over" I told her no and to give me 10 minutes and I'll be down to check out. No more than 2 minutes later the phone rings it's the front desk again telling me it's check out time. So I hang up with her open the door to take my luggage out to my car and some one else is at the door talking about he needs to change a light bulb in the room. They will never get my business again they are so RUDE. By the time I checked out it was 11:07 am. And FYI. If you plan to get ice from the ice machine make sure you have change because the charge you 25 cents. read more

( im not exaggerating readers) - I got ready for work, left.. the minute the owner saw my car leave she knocked on my hotel door, while my wife was in the shower nobody answered it (she had no idea my wife came with me)... my wife had her bathroom door open and was starring at the front door b/c she heard the knock.... the owner came in, noticed my wife was in the shower, apologized, and left right away. I was only 1 minute down the street... -Her bullshit excuse: "she dropped her gold ear ring". She never bent over to pick anything up, and she did not bother calling me letting me know she was going in there. - Imagine how long she has been doing this??? she has been there for 15 years and she finally got caught (stealing, going through your personal stuff, and confidential files)! For a motel in this price range, I was truly impressed. The rooms we booked were spacious and offered several amenities (e.g. microwave, fridge, led tv, ac/heater, wifi) Location is very ideal too; food, gas, bank within walking distance. But what really sets this motel apart from other motels I've stayed in is the amazing staff. When we checked in, I noticed that the room we booked for one night for a friend was a tad roomier and upscaled than the room we booked for two nights for ourselves. Unfortunately, the nicer room was booked for the second night but the wonderful receptionist, Meena, pulled some strings and was able to swap our reservation! Came here for a 1 night stay while passing through town to get to our actual destination. We checked in at a very late time, the guy was helpful and quick. We were assigned a room upstairs in the middle of the building with 2 staircases on the far ends of the building. We got into the room and it was clean enough, couldnt hurt to swiffer the floor every now and again. The room had a distinct smell but it wasn't overpowering, maybe some spice or incense? All in all it was decent for a one night stay AND they have some good breakfast spots in the area so that always helps. read more
