Kristie has been doing my braid/weave in extensions for years; I wouldn't let anyone else touch my hair! She also NAILED the color, WITHOUT harsh bleach! With her system, my fragile, fine, thin hair finally grew! When I moved to the White Mountains of AZ, I couldn't find anyone who could come close to what she does! Don't get me wrong, a couple of gals do excellent work on beaded extensions, but those fall out due to my hair being so fine and thin. This review is loooong overdue but SO necessary. I had the absolute worst experience after purchasing a Groupon for Impressions Hair Salon in Lake Forest. All I wanted was highlights that looked decently natural. After 4 hours all I ended up with were white streaks and damaged hair. I couldn't go to work looking like that so the same night at 9 PM I'm looking on Yelp for someone that could help me. I ended up calling Kristie. She answered her phone after 9 PM and was able to get me in the very next day. Not only was her service fantastic, but she made sure to ask me a lot of questions, and she fixed my hair in a very inexpensive way rather than charging me $400-$500 for corrective treatments. My hair came out looking fantastic, which I didn't think was even possible after what Impressions Hair Salon did to me. I found Kristie on Yelp when my other long time hairdresser went MIA. I liked that Kristie does all types of extensions. The Salon is very nice and I like that there aren't tons of people near her chair. Kristin is friendly and the conversation was nice but she also lets me read, which is kind of my thing when I get my hair done. On my first visit a month ago, she did a fabulous job at moving my extensions and just today I had color done by Kristie. It looks fantastic! Kristie is the best at what she does. I had never gotten extensions before and I found her on yelp after seeing her great reviews and the fact that she's been doing it for so long. (I definitely didn't want just anyone to handle my hair!) I called her and we had a consultation the very next morning. She is very knowledgable and makes sure to thoroughly explain the process after getting to know what you want from your extensions. I have very thick hair so we went with 2 rows of extensions with the cornrow/weave in method. I have a very unique/specific hair color with lots of highlighting and my biggest concern was color matching. Let me tell you--- Kristie NAILED IT with figuring out my color matches. I got my extensions put in a week later and it was a really easy process! Kristie has been SUCH a great person to work with through the process. The hair not only looks phenomenal, but she checks in with you to see how the hair is doing and if you have any questions. In short, she's there for you! And such a sweet person! This is an updated review on my experience with Kristie after she did a full installation on my skin weft extensions and cut my hair. FANTASTIC! With my previous hairdresser, I experienced slipping and separation within days. I had to return every week to have them fixed. (See previous reviews for prior hair dresser and issues.) Kristie did my hair exactly 2 weeks ago and I have had no issues. I am trilled to have found her. Also, she has a special technique that is perfect for those of us with very thin hair. There are no bumps, it is lighter and blends far better than the traditional method of "sandwiching" between two wefts of hair. Call her if you want stellar hair care and amazing client service. Kristie is absolutely amazing with extensions and color matching. She is very knowledgeable and has been doing extensions for over 14 years. I wanted to put them in to add length and fullness and add to the sides. My hair was broken and damaged on sides by my face from the flat iron. So she decided to put in a row and then a few keratip pieces on the sides. The color matches perfect to my hair! I couldn't be happier!
