I had my hair cut and colored recently and I asked Nazi to give me a trim and not take too much off. Not only did she take at least 4 inches off but she also used completely Ash color for my hair! My hair coloring has always had a little bit of the neutral in it and I'm not sure how we got to 100% Ash but not only does it not look good because it's not a natural looking blonde color, but it was way shorter than it should've been cut. I will not return and I don't recommend her. read more

I typically don't leave bad reviews but my hair experience was very bad this time around after paying over $200. My cut was bad, uneven and looked like my previous long bob had grown out uneven (the hair actually looked way better before the cut). The real issue I had was with my hair color, I had asked for a balayage but what I got was an extremely shoddy color job. The color was not blended with my hair at all and looks like a child colored on it with a marker. While we discussed high lift color and me not being satisfied with the results from the high lift color, we agreed to use "blonding cream" which was very carelessly painted over along with toner to get the desired effect. For me it isn't the technique, the type of color or the time/effort required. It's the end result. Which was absolutely horrendous. Everyone who saw my hair at home and otherwise at a social event I was attending, commented on "how my previous hair was much better" while some people honestly told me that it was an awful color job. I only realized how bad it actually was after going home and shampooing, blow drying my hair straight as usual. At the salon, the hair was curled so I really couldn't tell how the cut and color was. I understand my hair is thin and less but at the end of the day a good stylist works with what she has and my hair being bad quality isn't an excuse for a bad color job. I do feel bad for the stylist since she was unwell the day she scheduled an appointment with me and had returned from medical leave. I appreciate what she did to accommodate me because I asked her if she could schedule me before I went for a social event. I thanked her for taking me at short notice but also told her that I was open to coming another time if she couldn't take me. At the end of the day, I want a good hair cut and color whether I get it within a week or within a month. There was no immediate hurry. I'm a laid back customer and not a diva who was demanding a hair stylist to work on my hair if she was busy, unwell or any other situation. Either way, it isn't an excuse for a very bad color job and cut. After spending $200+ on a bad cut and color, I will now have to spend over $400+ to go do color correction and get a new cut. Basically $600+ down the drain for nothing. I could've literally sat at home and my hair would be fine. Also, I do want to add that the first time I went to this salon with a Groupon for a haircut and highlights, I did get a good cut and compliments, which is why I went back. However, the experience the second time around was so atrocious that it's scared me for life from getting a cut or color job from anyone. I've literally been told my multiple people close to me that my hair looks like a child worked on it with color and scissors. That's my real issue- bad/uneven cut and color that isn't blended at all, this isn't about the choice of color (bronze, copper, blonde) or the technique (balayage, highlight, ombré etc.) or even the kind of color (high lift etc). It's about what you pay an expert for. The ability to blend colors with your natural hair and create an end result that looks good. This is the simple reason why I don't trust any stylist who says they have "x" years of experience or are professionals and prefer to get advice from those who are my well wishers. It's the end result that speaks volumes. And again, I'm not someone who will compare my hair against a picture to rate my look, I just see how the overall hair cut and color looks on me. I'm honestly extremely disappointed and sad because I thought I'd finally found a good stylist. I'm trying to figure out why a stylist did such an atrocious job with a cut and balayage. I think she did this on purpose out of spite.This is the most alarming scenario but very likely. While I was in her chair, I called my sister to ask for suggestions on hair color and if the "high lift" color that the stylist suggested would actually give me the look I wanted. I put my sister on speaker to ask her about the hair color options. My sister politely and respectfully said that the high lift color wouldn't work to give me the desired effect. This infuriated the stylist so much she interrupted my conversation with my sister, which in itself was very rude but also said very rudely that "no it will work!". She was so rude to me after that throughout the service. I tried to make conversation with her, lighten the mode. This stylist isn't reliable and will ruin your hair if she gets upset and any random thing can upset her.Finally, the high lift color that she used did nothing at all, it was barely noticeable and maybe she wanted to use it because her choppy highlights and random coloring on hair without any blending at all would look less horrendous with the high lift color. read more

I appreciate that she was honest in suggesting that I do not dye my hair because it's healthy. The majority of hairstylists would of probably gone forth with the dye so they could make more money, but Nazzi genuinely cared about my hair and said don't do it! Did you ever know someone who could tell you the truth but say it with grace? That person who always makes you feel good about yourself even when you feel a little off? Well I found that person AND SHE STYLES HAIR!! I originally found Nazi via Groupon. I was up late tired of my new found grays and tired of attempting to cut my own hair, so I got on Groupon and bought 3 hair cuts/style packages from 3 different places thinking one of them might work. Nazi was first to respond. I went into the Newport Beach Salon and fought my way around some housewives to get noticed. But none of that mattered because Nazi instantly put me at ease and discussed color options and a cut. She was honest upfront on how the Groupon worked and gave me her full attention. I left not loving the salon BUT enjoying Nazi and my hair looked amazing. Then Covid hit. I had several other credit and Groupons with Nazi, which now seemed useless. Years later I decided to just text her and see if perhaps she was around and maybe would honor or at least offer some credit for the now expired Groupons. Guess what?! She completely honored them as if there was no expiration date, the only catch was, she had relocated to Lake Forest, was I willing to drive that far? Turns out for a free hair cut and color I was. This is how my relationship started and now I don't mind the drive at all. Nazi has mastered my exact hair color. I have been a guinea pig for different hair color brands and products and she has always showed professionalism and been upfront about what the color may look like and any cost difference. But what really stands out is Nazi's character. She listens to clients. She's a part time sister, therapist, stylist and advocate. I recently mentioned an issue I was having with my sons insurance and the moment she had my color on and it was under the lights she surprised me by walking over getting out her phone and calling the insurance company herself to help me solve it. Who does that?!! NO ONE- I absolutely would trust her with my hair and any styling options. I also would trust her to be honest and sincere. She is hands down the best stylist I have ever been to and I will follow her anywhere.
