Many storage places just hope and pray that people forget to pay their bills so they can seize your storage, often declining to send reminders to people who are late. Enterprise is not like this. They have a generous grace period during which they send out several reminders. They are in the business of providing rental storage units, not seizing property. Also of note, during Covid, before we knew that we could claim unemployment we were worried about our bills and paying them in time. I called Enterprise at that time to inquire what would happen if I was late and they informed me that they were freezing all seizures during the lockdown. This is a solid, ethical business and I would recommend them to anyone.

Located conveniently off the 5 freeway, it turned out to be a storage facility that has a staff that actually cares about their customers. Yolanda is the site manager and this intelligent and kind person made sure my storage needs were met. Even when I was just looking the place over, she never tried the "hard sell" approach. Her warmth and willingness to work with me made the decision to locate here the easiest one I've ever made. Ben is the Assistant Mgr who is always on his feet, constantly in work mode. Each time I arrive, he greets me by name. How does he remember my name? Anyway, he is so proficient at his job, always checking to make sure everything is functional and up to par. Amjad is also a site manager and this gentlemen is always walking inside and out, greets me as he passes by my storage locker and makes sure I have everything I need. What a trio of competent people. This facility has giant garbage bins (a first for me as I've never seen a storage place that has any for customer use) and a clean washroom for customers. I wish I knew about this location sooner. Take my word for it, Extra Storage in Burbank has a great location, indoor and outdoor storage lockers and a staff that likes their customers. They are competitive price wise and is a very secure site. I'm so happy to have my personal belongings there and you will too.

It was oh first time renting a storage, so she guided me through everything and helped me pick out what would suit my needs best. I am very impressed by the staff and the cleanliness. I have had the unit for about a month now, have gone in only a handful of times, but they are consistent. Took my deposit and nothing. When thinking about though the overall price was reasonable the breakdown was wrong. Deposit was three times what I had previously paid on deposit but the driver portion was the same.

It's not immediately clear where to go and what to do but they have plenty of staff to direct you. They asked me to empty my different types of bottles (clear glass, colorful glass, plastic) into three large cylindrical barrels before they weighed them. I can see what other reviewers are saying about how they don't fully put the container on the scale to ascertain the full weight of the bottles. They hand you a receipt after weighing and you take it to the window to cash out. They ask you to sign the receipt before giving you the money. All in all, it's an easy process and I'm not sure it's worth the trouble because I don't have that much to recycle at a time but it might make sense for the people sorting pickup trucks' worth of recycling. Pro tip: Sort your recycling in advance so when you get to the recycle center, you just have to dump it into one of the barrels and not sort it on site.

--96% Increase On Rent After 5 Months!!!-- I rarely write negative reviews, but I am shocked by the corporate greed and predatory pricing practices of Extra Space Storage. After an unexpected death in the family, we ended up needing to rent 2 units from Extra Space on short notice. A few months later, Extra Space increased the monthly cost of both units, nearly DOUBLING the cost of one unit. The process of figuring out what happened has revealed Extra Space's profit-at-all-costs business model, and a stunning lack of transparency. Understandably surprised and shocked at a 96% increase, I spoke to the call center, district manager, and building manager to see if this was a mistake. Each understood our frustration, but informed me that the "market rate" for that unit was now almost double. The district manager explained that the rate changes all the time based on computer algorithms. To verify this, we did quite a bit of research online and found that we could still get the exact size unit in the SAME FACILITY for $130--one dollar less than we initially rented it for. Moreover similar units were available in the area from competitors in the same price range, so it seems Extra Space's algorithm and market rate excuse did not hold water. When we called asked them to match THEIR OWN PRICE, they said that we were not eligible couldn't get that deal because we were not "first time renters." Reviewing our original paperwork when we originally signed up, it is clear that we were never given any sort of promotion, and nowhere in the fine print did it mention that we were being offered a rate for being for first time renters. In fact, our rate was simply described as the "web rate" or "flash sale" and listed no qualifications or exclusions. Extra Space had created this loophole to benefit themselves after the fact. The Extra Space corporate call center had a district team lead named Paul reach out to us regarding this. Unfortunately, instead of de-escalating the situation, he could not properly explain the inconsistencies in my rent increase. Furthermore, he could not provide me with any statement on their website that referenced the restrictions they were mentioning verbally. Paul informed me that he would "allow" me to have that web rate, but--astoundingly--later retracted the rate even though I had a CONFIRMATION EMAIL that guaranteed the rate in writing. This extraordinary runaround from Extra Space and their employees in a period of incredible grief for our family has been nothing short of astounding, compassionless, and time-wasting. I spoke with a rep at A-1 Storage and they only raise the rent for tenants 10% a year. If nothing else, we'd like other renters to be warned about Extra Space Storage and their secretive predatory rent increase practices. read more

2801 THORNTON AVE BURBANK 91504 Went into get- rates from extraSpace on Thornton and receive very smarmy, dismissive service from their front Desk, at the Burbank location today: I told the front- desk I'm looking-at renting a 5X5 locker, starting at $91... The fast-talking, tall, grey-haired man at front desk, chuckled at my queries and he said :"why don't you just put your stuff in your cellar? *hyuck-hyuck*" Grey-hair, also said: "dont you have car?": I told him:, "I've lived down the street at my Folks' place for 25 years, and just walked-over, so I'm just going to rent a small locker for some of my possessions..." Grey-Haired's response: "*a'hyuck-hyuck*. Is that how old you are, 25? Heh-heh." I said: "So...about renting the small-locker...?" Grey-Haired-Front-desk-guy just cut-me-short and said "have a nice day", then he went back inside the front-office and locked the door. . . . Why didn't he ask for my I.D. and take my money and rent me a locker, instead of schmucking-around my questions and then turning-me-away? . . . Every door is on ground level and you drive up to it. It's clean and Security is good. I have an irrational urge to rent a bigger one!

Well, parked the car in their parking lot, went to get a dolly or some kind of a cart to load the boxes on it and noticed that they were closed. Couln't get into the office nor inside our unit. Boxes went back into my car. What a hassle. They sell boxes, to pack your belongings, U-HAUL van/truck is also available to move your belongings from car to the unit or vise a versa. Every unit has it's own prices, and overall the place is nice, medium size units. They also have small and large units. Depending what you are in for. They have surveillance cameras everywhere. The reason for my 4 stars is because of their business hours. Please check your hours, and stay in the office until closing time..
