The staff there is so phenomenal. I've already left a review on another platform three years ago when I first got my unit. Stephanie has been phenomenal.!!! My entire life is in a storage that I no longer have access to as I'm in another state currently. The entire time I have not had to worry about irreplaceable items from family members that have passed. When she was promoted over other stores, I was actually contemplating coming to get my items. Stephanie has trained her staff incredibly well that even before she returned, I still had no worries. I've had death to deal with. I've been ill myself. I do not recommend Extra Space Storage. They force you into buying their lock that only works on their doors and you get no refund for the lock when your done. The pricing increases are ridiculous. A 5' x 5' unit started out at $25.59 and after 4 increases to $65.59. I found a much better deal at Cube Smart Storage. I give Extra Space Storage no stars out of 5 and a thumbs down. These people don't even deserve one star! I have been trying to get my issues with direct deposit and switching of companies resolved and they will not even give me the corporation's number to resolve the issue! they even have gone so far as to tell me I shouldn't keep calling when they hang up on me! Dominique the manager at the McQueen and Germann location in AZ is completely incompetent and unprofessional. We have already done this song and dance before. now we have to do this legally. read more

So. This place absolutely sucks. I was there 3 months and they raised rent over $60. I moved out and they refused to prorate me back stating if I had called them they could have but not if I did a move out date online. 2150 N. Arizona is the worse , management Stephanie is rude, a liar and a racist. Do is worker trey . They only will take people of color money . But don't want you there. I was attacked by a white man and woman in the storage area. And they had their dog trying to attack me. They put all their belongings, like lazy boy chairs and many other things, and a dog , to block my path to storage unit. The workers Stephanie and trey ask me to move out , because I place my review online. Not surprise, they were very racist. And only wanted to listen , to the white people. Trey Newman at the chandler location, told me , the guy told him, what happened and that's good enough for him. He saw the path to my storage was blocked. He rolled his eyes, and didn't care. He made it quite clear , I had no rights and the people and their dog did. I had returned the box I purchased prior. Because trey Newman intentionally gave me 2 wrong box parts, that's supposed to be put together, so that it will hold item , like a picture or tv. Well he knew he gave me , the wrong pieces. I ask for my money back, he said no. So now am out of my money and storage unit. So basically my money was stolen from, extra space storage also. Females don't rent from them if you are black or of color. If you already have a storage, and have no experience yet, good for you , hopefully you won't . But be careful, bring some one with you at all times. Any interaction, video it . For your protection. Don't go alone. Inside is secluded and huge, be careful. Don't buy any boxes etc , from them. Even if they give your, wrong stuff, you will not receive a refund. They will not tell you up front. I lost $13 :00 . They refuse to refund me. I want my money, to most it might not be much money, but it's mine and I work for it. And no one has the right to steal from me. This company refuse to refund my money for the box I returned. When the 2 pieces never fit. 4 moving company people try to fit pieces, they all said , it not the correct pieces to fit. No they refuse to refund me my money. So they have my money and the box . New store manager is ruthless. I have the unit due to the loss of my mother and don't have any room for her things. I've explained to previous managers I sometimes get behind because it's an additional cost but I've always been a person of my word and never lost my unit. If anything the company has made money off auction fees but I never complained because I knew they were working with me being late. It was just unfortunate reminder how customer service or caring for customers isn't the same. I hope Extra Space can provide some additional training to the reality of what people's situations might be, instead of so cut throat. I pretty much had to help her figure out what I needed to pay by when so I can afford the full amount and not lose my moms things. read more

Best experience ever! I called the office as I wanted to add the insurance plan after reserving a unit online, plan that I originally declined as I though my bank could do it. The lady was not at her desk so she asked for my name and unit number and told me she would call me back and she DID! I have been in the U.S. for 5 years and this is the first time someone call me back when they say they would do so. Very nice, easy and professional to work with. What a breather to finally deal with someone who actually do its job! My unit was super clean, had a tag with my name on it and a lock in the unit waiting for me. Awesome experience! read more

I absolutely love this location and the ladies that work here. They are what made this location worth it. I was in an odd move and couldn't decide which size I needed, and they were totally understandable and would change it if needed. Very clean space, units are kept cooled with the units being on the inside. There is even moving rollers that can be used, so it was super easy in and super easy out. Totally reccomend!! read more

This place has been a great place to store our things and saves us a lot of money. It's a safe and cool place to put our garden tools and holiday decorations between seasons. Close! Clean! Air conditioned and not in areas! And the prices are reasonable although they do go up every year.

I am very disappointed in the company. We called on Saturday for a storage space and were told that they would hold it for us until Monday, they didn't ask for a deposit to hold it, which I would have gladly done. When we arrived Monday with our van full and ready to unload they told us they had just rented the only unit they had, it was first come first serve. When I mentioned that they were supposed to be holding it for us they just said, we're sorry. They offered to send us to a different location that had higher prices, thanks but no thanks. So I guess that means their prices are just a come on to get you in and then pass you off to some other location. My stuff is now in my garage with an A/C unit running to keep it from being ruined. I guess good help is hard to find! read more
