    Great space; bad customer service!…read more Storage was good for four months and then the rent increased without warning. The agreement states that the owner must provide written notice of any price increase. AFTER they increased my rent and charged an additional month, without warning, I was informed that I can no longer practice drumming. I sent multiple emails and left multiple voice mails and never received a response. I request clarification regarding two matters that have recently arisen with my storage unit but never received a response. Issues in detail below. First, the January billing amount increased from the usual $96 to $153, representing an approximate 50% increase. This change was made without the required 30‑day written notice outlined in Section B of the rental agreement. To date, I have not received any written communication explaining or authorizing this adjustment. Second, my son and I were verbally instructed to discontinue playing drums during office hours. No explanation was provided, and there is no language in the rental agreement that prohibits musical instruments or the playing of instruments. After reviewing Section A, I found no terms that relate to or restrict this activity. I respectfully requested written clarification (multiple times via email and voicemail) regarding both the billing increase and the basis for the verbal instruction concerning drum use. There is, and was, NO response on how these matters can be resolved in accordance with the terms of the agreement.

I booked it and have already begun using the space. The facility is clean and it is easily the best choice that I made in choosing this location. I received a follow-up call from the manager, Brittney, who was incredible. She was very knowledgeable and assisted with my reservation. I appreciate Brittney's leadership and how she takes pride in ensuring her facility is the gold standard.

Before you rent here you should realize several things 1: your rent will go up significantly each year. Unfortunately even if it would be cheaper to go somewhere else for storage you stay because you figure that's easier than moving all of your stuff. I probably could have just added a room onto my house for the price i paid for storage here. 2: There are never enough carts and the ones they do have are broken and crappy. AND the worst thing is, we moved all of our stuff out this weekend since it was the end of the month. The unit was completely emptied out over the weekend. I called on Monday the 31st and asked how to cancel. I was asked if it was emptied and unlocked. I said it was emptied but my husband did not know he needed to take the lock off and I would do it. I was not told it had to be done before closing that day. I worked until 9pm and was not able to come and unlock it and leave the lock and keys until this morning at approximately 6:30 am. I received a call from Public Storage this morning saying since it is the 1st of the month I will have to pay an entire months worth of rent since I had not taken the lock off and returned the keys yesterday AND had I given them a heads up this would not have happened! I did call yesterday!! Charging people a whole months worth of rent for bringing the keys back on the 1st is ridiculous and very poor business practice! What ever happened to pro rating, you don't charge people a full months rent when they move in on the 10th or 15th, you pro rate it. I would be happy to pay for 1 days rent on the unit but asking me to pay an entire months rent on an empty unit when the keys were returned on the 1st is RIDICULOUS!!!! Do yourself a favor and DONT rent here!!!!!!!

    I had a very good experience with Zippy Shell DMV…read more I originally ordered a 16-ft storage unit to be delivered by one of their competitors who advertised that they could fit their containers into very tight spaces using a robot. But that company showed up with a container and they tried and they gave up and left. I immediately got on the phone and called Zippy Shell DMV and described my situation, and shared dimensions and photos, and they said they saw no reason why they couldn't do what the others couldn't. 3 hours later, our storage unit was delivered, and as you can see, they tucked it expertly into my tight spot. When you have a storage unit for 4 months, it's great to not have it on the street, and not have it block your garage either. Well done!. Zippy Shell's units are also very nice, flat to the ground with barn style doors and even carpeting on the floor. And they price matched the competition. And they are great on the phone if you have any questions.

They had a crew and container at the unit the next morning at 8:15, with a 2nd crew and another container arriving at 10:30. Everything was completely out of the unit by 12:30p.m. Did I mention there was no elevator? Absolutely amazing! Bill and his crews were great to work with and I whole-heartedly recommend Zippy Shell!     5 stars for Brenese, 1 star (less if possible ) for Scarlett:…read moreI recently returned a U-Haul truck to this location and had one of the most polarizing customer service experiences I've ever encountered--all in the span of a few minutes. When I arrived, the system was down, making it impossible to log our return via the usual method. I noticed the store door was open, so I walked in to ask for help after hearing the phone line had a 45-minute wait. That's when Scarlett shouted at me--yes, shouted--"We're closed!" There was no greeting, no explanation, just immediate hostility. I calmly explained the situation and was relieved when another employee, Brenese, stepped in. She kindly explained that the system was down and gave clear, helpful instructions on how to proceed with our drop-off. Her tone was professional, calm, and understanding--exactly what you hope for when something isn't working and you need guidance. Meanwhile, Scarlett continued to simmer in the background, muttering a passive-aggressive "AND because we're closed" under her breath--just loud enough to hear. When I asked her to repeat herself, she doubled down with the same tone. I told her directly, "You don't need to be so rude," because the truth is, she was extremely rude, unnecessarily aggressive, and completely unprofessional. Frankly, she has no business working in a customer-facing role. Scarlett's behavior was not just bad--it was unacceptable. If I were a manager, I'd consider retraining or reevaluating whether she belongs in this position at all. Her attitude is damaging to your brand. Now, on the complete opposite end of the spectrum: Brenese is a gem. After helping me inside, she even walked out to check in the truck in front of me to offer peace of mind. She went above and beyond--without being asked. Her customer service was exceptional, and her professionalism saved the experience. Give Brenese a raise, a promotion--something. She's the reason this review isn't one star. To management: If you're reading this, Scarlett could learn a lot from watching how Brenese treats people. Frankly, so could a lot of people. Scarlett's presence is a liability. Brenese is an asset.

I dropped by 3 days after to collect them and found out that they did not even have them ready for collection. Had to wait 15 minutes for the staff to fulfill my order, funny how I paid for items to be ready for pick up only to arrive at the store to watch them pick the items. What made it worse was one of the items I ordered was super low in stock- the main reason why I order for pickup and guess what? Sold out. Hah. After a week of letting the bad experience go, I found the cherry on top of this bad experience- one of the medium boxes had a large COCKROACH hiding, wedged in between the flattened edges. I'm done. Good luck going to them for your next move. I wish I didn't have to give a star to be able to submit this review.
