Rental process was easy enough, but just got notice my monthly rent is going up 65% ! On a month to month rental increases are expected but a 65% spike starting in December is just a bait and switch banking on people not wanting to deal with finding new spaces and moving around the holidays. my wife and I moved Into a smaller apartment 3 months ago and needed to get a storage unit. Extra space was affordable and convenient. However, today I got a notice in the mail saying that our rate is going from 95$ a month to 175$ a month. looks like we are moving our stuff out this month. Started off at a good rate of $180.00 a month, then a couple months after went up at $286.00 a month, then a couple months after went to over $300 a month. I called and talked to both a "manager" on a Saturday who was extremely extremely rude when I had questions about the upcharging. He said that is in the contract we can go up in price whenever we feel necessary. Which I intern said, seems a little shady, and at that point, he got very agitated and childish. Because I was giving extremely valid points, and why they should warn us a month in advance before hand, in turn he started almost acting like. Angry teenager. I asked to speak to the general manager and he said he wasn't there. Well, I could hear him in the background so I told him I can hear him. He finally put him on the phone and he too was extremely rude and condescending. I would've left so much sooner if I just wasn't waiting to move into a new house. I would give this negative stars if I could not because of the facility itself but because of the Immature, sad excuse of management that that certain facility has. I will go out of my way to make sure I do not recommend that place. I understand it's tough to get good help nowadays, but for the love of God, it was pathetic and sad. I almost felt bad for them as I was on the other line, listening to how they spoke to somebody over the phone. It's one of those times in life were you realize immature people say whatever they want over the phone when you're not standing in front of them. I bought a storage unit from there and if you do this....THEN STAY AWAY FROM THESE JOKERS!! One they are very strict on the 48 hours to clean out to the minute. Also they are very much stuck in the 1980s with only cash being an option, friggin nuts now a days that people are that far behind and cannot think at all about what year they are in! Also if there is a piece of dirt on the floor then no deposit back...........and I am not kidding about this! I buy so many all over the state and never ever been to a place like this, it was like going into a time warp. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with in my life and NEVER will be back!
