We had to move the left items and they gave me grief for requesting a $100.00 credit/rebate. They also "lost" belongings. The other day I was going to give them another chance, and gained quotes for 2 moves....2 locations. I got a lot of confusing information from their rep Regis, mistakes on the quotes, and then a lot of attitude from him as well. When I asked to speak to Santiago I was told "that was a different time"... meaning that the owner no longer talks to customers...he is too big for that now. Never again. They are not the company they once were.

The movers made contact when they were en route to my location, and showed up on time. All three of the movers introduced themselves, and post my tour of what they needed to move, they went to work. Our move was sizeable 3bd apt in a house to a 2bd smaller townhouse. They disassembled, reassembled, and arranged furniture in the most effective configuration. They were real people who truly cared about the job they did. They also understood how stressful moving is. My move took 6 hours and they were moving the entire time. 8 years ago when I used Burkhardt Movers, I had the most positive moving experience possible…read more Fast forward to 2023, and I wondered if they maintained their excellence. The bottom line is that you shouldn't waste time looking around, just use Burkhardt. One of the owners David came a week before the move, gave me a reasonable estimate and was incredibly personable. Then yesterday they sent two guys (Morgan and Kyle) who were absolutely tremendous. Sometimes you never know what you're getting with movers, but these two guys were courteous, listened to make sure that things were done the way I wanted, and they let me know on multiple occasions that they were dedicated to making sure that the job was done the way I wanted. And to make it even better, they were also focused on being efficient which meant that the move went smoothly and quickly without any feeling that they were cutting corners. It wasn't until later that I found out that Morgan is also a Burkhardt, and it gives me confidence that this company is going to be around for a long time. Moving is usually an emotional affair, but Burkhardt Movers were so fantastic that the sadness of the move was quickly replaced by gratitude for how pain-free they made the move. I had used this company years ago in the early 2000's and had a good experience. However, the time I used them again a few years ago was a nightmare, One of the owners came to my apartment to give me an estimate. I was getting rid of most of my furniture because it was old and/or broken. So basically all I had to move was a bedroom set, a couch, and some boxes. He quoted me two people because I did not have a lot to move. In fact, when I used them before I only had two people because I did not have a ton of furniture but much more than I had this time. Anyway, imagine my surprise when on moving day THREE people showed up. One of them said to me that they didn't have much work that day. Oh so I am supposed to pay for that? They know they have you though because moving is stressful enough without an argument. Plus, I stupidly thought it would go faster. WRONG! They were so slow that even with three of them there would be long gaps between getting furniture. I went outside at one point and saw the three of them just hanging out on the truck. So finally when everything was done I said ok I will meet you at the new place. One of them said, we have to stop at the office real quick. I get to my new place, and it took them over an hour and a half to arrive. I called their cell phone at one point because they had given me the number, but of course they did not answer. So when they finally showed up and moved me in, they way overcharged me. At least a third more than what I was quoted. I was so tired and worn out that I just paid it. I had to return to work the next day so it took me a while to unpack. That's when I started to notice that I was missing things, jewelry, handbags, designer sunglasses, china from my Grandmother, a huge jar full of change, clothes etc. The problem was i could not prove any of it. I also stupidly used bankers boxes so I did not seal them because I have never had a mover steal from me. One of the movers even said to me that I should not have used them! I was too stupid to realize that the reason they took so long to get to my new place was because they were going through my stuff to see what valuables they could take. I am still heartbroken because some of the things they took were family heirlooms which really only had sentimental value. Please do not hire these people at any price! I wish I had brought them to court, and I still might. Anyway, I am hoping I can spare someone else from their thievery.

Recently I used Prime Moving to move my apartment temporarily to a storage unit. Overall I will say…read morethey have did a great job. First off, I wanted to start this review with the acknowledgment that the gentlemen who moved me did an excellent job. They worked hard and efficiently, and they did a great job helping me pack my apartment into the small space of the unit and were very friendly. The only 2 complaints I have however with the company in general were the punctuality and the cost. I initially asked for a morning slot and the week before when I reached out to verify the confirmation, they requested I take a 2 or 3p slot, which I said I preferred the 2p, but they confirmed as 3p, and I agreed. However, around 2:10p I received a call that they were going to be late around 4:30p due to the previous movers. Then at 4:35p I received anther message saying they were sorry, but now they would not be there until 5:10 due to traffic. This caused me to not finished moving with them until 7:30p and I still had work to do after they left. As for the cost, while they do not make this clear, when they say minimum 3 hours - they mean minimum on labor is 3 hours + 1 Hour minimum on travel. So please expect their minimum cost to be 119/hr (2 movers cash) x 4 hours = 476$. If they had come at the requested time, total travel time would have been only 45mins + move time 2.15 hours = 3 hours for myself, so there was an additional cost not expected. Just please be aware when comparing companies.

They texted me in the morning with a smaller window of arrival time for the afternoon pickup and then again when they were 20 minutes away. This was very helpful so I didn't have to spend all afternoon waiting for them to come. The two gentlemen that arrived on time were professional, friendly and very careful removing heavy furniture. The cost came in right around the estimate that was given. Overall it was a very good experience and I highly recommend using ReSupply.
