Ignore any of the big disposal services that won't even give you an idea at how much trash removal will cost. Look no further than Willard's for a trustworthy, local business. I live in Quincy and needed to get rid of the sofa and armchair from our apartment, we'd looked around for services but it's all very irritating and vague as to how much some companies charge. I called up Willard's and Mike gave me a call back within ten minutes to discuss my needs. Mike gave me a quote which was real inexpensive and he also ran through some options as to when we could arrange a pick-up. We settled on the next day, I got a call from Mike in the morning to let me know he was on his way, and he was bang on with our agreed time. Mike and his helper sized up everything and took around ten minutes to get the sofas out and loaded onto their truck, which is way bigger than the ones some of those national companies use. Mike stuck with his exact quote for the job and he was friendly, courteous and real pleasure to deal with. Absolutely max stars! Did a basement/house clean-out. Bought a Bagster for $30 - had used them successfully a few years ago. The Bagster rep told me that if power lines near me did not have 18' of clearance, and they came, Bagster would charge me $150 but NOT take the trash. I emphatically said DO NOT COME. Had trouble measuring vertically but finally managed: 14' 6-ish inches high. Was thrilled to find Willard. He was very nice, helpful, informative, straightforward and responsive. Willard removed it all for the $150 Bagster said they would charge for NOT picking it up. ***** HIGHEST POSSIBLE RECOMMENDATION ***** Kicker #1: Mr. Willard folded the soon to-be-returned to the Home Depot Bagster very neatly. Kicker #2: It took four calls to get Bagster's (sleazy? fraudulent? erroneous?) $179 charge removed from the credit card. Look no further: Willard is your man. read more

I called a couple other waste disposal services, but did not receive a timely response, so I went with Willard's. The next week, we scheduled the clean out and they showed up on time. I only called Mike because of the reviews here on Yelp and it was the best choice I could have made. Mike could not run his business any better in my book. He was quick to reply and quick to get to me (with 2 workers to help him) knowing that there was a snow storm coming and I had just sold my house and had a ton of stuff I needed to get rid of that was outside at my new house. He came the same day! Full contractor bags (almost 20 of them), random items, a wheel barrow, etc. His price was beyond reasonable and they worked so quickly yet calmly and they were very polite. I would recommend him to anyone. I just wish I knew he was around before I dragged the stuff to my new home to beat the closing. He even had to leave before he was finished (no fault of his, he uncovered a bee's nest in the pile of junk I had) but returned promptly after I killed the bees. No extra charge for making two trips.
