Michelle had great customer service. The facility was clean guessing it was Michelle who maintained it so nice caught her sweeping.

This business needs to change its hours online!! It says that it has a 24 hour kiosk - the kiosk is behind a LOCKED door . It says online that they open at 6 am , meanwhile I've arrived @ 8 am to a very locked door that says they don't open until 9:30. This is not a great way to retain customers or garner new ones. read more

This is regarding the on site Manager Thelvi. On July 14 my father went to pay for his account till the Month of August. During his visit there, he started suffering from pain and went outside near a wall trying to hold himself up. The manager came out and accused him of peeing saying "she saw it with her own eyes" he denied her claims and asked for help, got to his knees and begged for help. She refused continuing to make false accusations and threatening to remove his stuff from the property within 2 days despite him just paying for the account. He has been a loyal member for 4 years and had never experienced something of this sort. My dad was hospitalized that night and was in the hospital for 5 days. Meanwhile my family and I went to talk to her and she continued her lies and give us a run around. Wouldn't provide her name right away, claimed no cameras show in that direction, that she would provide a refund in 3-5 business days as she had told my dad the day before. That she'd extend the move out date for a week so that we could gather the belongings. Fast forward to today my mom went to show her the space had been emptied and clean and asked about a refund and she stated none will be provided. She never documented she'd provide one for her own benefit and continues to flip flop on her actions and on what occurred the day of the incident. This is incredibly enraging and more so that she had no proof of her accusations and was backed up by her hire ups. We're asking for a refund and will not stop showing up to the site until something is done regarding her actions, behavior and false promises. She knows the account so she can tell you where to reach out to. I attached the receipt to show he did indeed paid his account. read more

Beware they will raise the cost of your rental unit without warning within *months* of your signing up. Is this even legal? They don't tell you that they'll raise your rent to "market rate" when they gladly take your money when you first rent a unit. Extra space storage is a huge scam!!! They have purchased many fake five-star reviews on Google Maps. Look how many of these people have only reviewed this place and nowhere else! Re: Extra Space reply. "Rising costs of top notch storage." Ha! More like bait and switch. You advertise one price and then conveniently raise it as soon as your customer puts their things in. My name is Ricky K Benjamin and I am very grateful for Extra Space Storage. My wife died on September 10, 2017, and I was told by my wife manager I needed to be out the house that Monday of the funeral. I came to extra Pace Storage and Vanessa treated me Excellent. She showed me around to a bigger storage than I had, she listen to my pain, and she supported me in all I was going thru. The storage that Vanessa should me was a perfect fit for my items that needed to be moved. I moved in the storage-the same day ,and set it up like my home to remind me of my wife. I thank God for Extra Space Storage, and I also Thank God for Vanessa, and her treating me a customer whom was in mourning, but at the same time in the need of a storage asap. The worst storage place. The outside units are infested with RATS. There are several recycle companies and alleys around the location that are filthy and for this reason the outside storage units have rats. They will not fumigate the units unless renter shows proof of dead rats or droppings. The insurance that the storage offers does not cover any damages. I dont recommend this storage place. read more

If I could give this place no stars I would. Literally every time I went to the office I received horrible customer service. I really suggest that whoever is reading this debating whether they should rent here or not reconsiders. The first time I went to rent here I had my dog with me and she's a very anxious breed. She tends to get really nervous when she's in new places and cries a lot. The girl on the desk all but accused me of animal abuse because according to her, abused dogs cry a lot when they're in public places. I don't know if she's a dog whisperer or a vet, but idk what she's doing working there. Secondly, I had to leave bc some guy got in with my code after tailgating me and broke into some units. You'd think that bc they charge renters so much for rent and insurance they could afford some security or better surveillance cameras but you'd be wrong. So you put in your code and the gate takes forever to open and forever to close, anyone could tailgate you and get in with your code. When I went into the office to see why my code wasn't working the girl in the front who is assistant manager, Sandra Ruiz, actually rolled her eyes at me and gave me such a nasty attitude. Keep in mind, I didn't know this girl until she gave me her card. I don't understand why she didn't like me and felt the need to treat me so badly. Whether they close later or on time, they'll still get paid. How she's a manager is beyond me. Any company that would make such a nasty person a manager doesn't know what they're doing. If you hate your job that much Sandra, just leave! Extra Space Storage is trying to wash their hands of responsibility but I think they should be held accountable. For all I know, the owners of the units could be involved, or even Sandra! Sorry for the rant, in conclusion, don't rent here. The staff is incredibly rude, they sometimes only have one worker on site, they charge too much to not even hold their end of the contract, poor security and surveillance, it's unclean, unsafe, the staff leaves for long periods of time, if anything should happen, they'll try to intimidate you and put all the blame on you. read more

Great customer service and all , when I went to fill out paperwork too all was great this tall black guy was so nice and professional but the first day I went to take stuff this mex girl rushed me she said " you have 20 min to bring me the cart key back cuz i need to close " that was si rude. I just opened my storage facility in September to hold my my wedding items, wedding dress, and some extra home items that can save me some space. Now, in January (four months later) I am ALREADY CLOSING MY UNIT and moving to another storage company. They were kind and seemed so helpful when I first opened my unit. Unfortunately that quickly shifted just two short months. I should have caught a hint when people where there complaining as I opened my unit. But I thought, that's them, not me. WRONG! First my rent was increased by $10 during the new year which made my move-in special 3 months prior not mean much. Every time I visited the 3 level facility I had not found any carts to be able to move my items in (even when I was the first person to the facility at 6am access opens). When I expressed this issue I was told, "Carts are not mandatory and are just a courtesy to customer, so you have to wait until one is available" which sucks because I'm pregnant and my unit is on the second floor. They told me this sitting down and not activity helping me locate a cart after so I completely searched the 1st and 2nd floors on my own (I don't have access to the third floor so I couldn't look there). I had to continue driving around Los Angeles, parking on the street, with my car loaded with my home goods, instruments, and other valuables covered by my prayers for someone not to rob me. My final straw is when they told me (when I opened the unit), that I would need to fax over my renters insurance to avoid adding their own insurance. I called had my insurance company and had them send the paperwork 5 times over the course of 4 months and each time they said they didn't receive it. I even let them lesson in on my conversation with my State Farm agent to let them know that they are actually faxing it over. Extra Spaces response?? Still no receipt! They tack on the renters fee, when I finally get them to approve the receipt of the paperwork on the 5th of the month, but they told me it was too late, I needed to pay it because my storage was due on the 2nd. Any company that feels that my $90 a month storage rent is less significant than removing a $10 for an insurance fee for insurance that I ALREADY have and have been repeatedly sending to them is no company for me!! They told me "faxing in documents is a courtesy" as well. The customer service here SUCKS!!!!! SAVE YOUR MONEY!! SAVE YOURSELF A HEADACHE AND DO TO A COMPANY THAT CARES ABOUT YOU AS A CUSTOMER!!! 4 months later and I have given up on completely dropping off my items at storage and just WANT OUT!! read more

This facility has rude personnel who do not assist customers. Several times my password wouldn't work even when I had paid on time. They were only nice when we first rented. Recently they sold my items out of my unit without notifying which is required by law! FIND ANOTHER FACILITY OR COMPANY OR YOU MAY REGRET IT! read more

Nereyda and Maria have been very helpful. This facility is cleaner than and safer than other storage facilities I've used in the past. This location deserves no stars! My reason... I have been storing for 3+yrs. I started with a 5x7 and had to downsize to a 5x5 because of their prices. I'm furious in how they just go up on unit prices when not even a year goes by. It's the 3rd time they go up on my unit. I really don't stop by my unit much I just pay every month because I don't have no other option. Renting a storage unit for some us is a necessity I understand they need to keep a business going but every nine months raising rent does not seem right especially when theirs people making minimum wage and trying to make a living from that. Im wondering if they go up on everyone's unit or choose randomly. I know every storage place does this but not as often as Extra Space it seems like every time theirs a new manager the District manager decides to raise rent with there typical speech of "We need to maintain the property clean and in good condition blah,blah...! Hopefully all current customers who rent was raised boycott this location. Oh, and I will be moving out before my new monthly payment! read more
