Do not rent here . I rarely leave yelp reviews, but my experience here merits one. I toured Trojan and was offered a special deal - 3 months at 50%, and after that $120 / month for a 10x5. They put the unit on reserve for a week for me until I was ready to move in. When the day came, I called the unit In the morning to ensure it would be at the above rates we spoke about. They confirmed yes. When I arrived 1 hour later with all my things AND the movers, I'm told that the 50% deal has ended and they also increased the price to $140/ month within the hour. Total curve ball. My movers had to wait on the parking lot while I researched a new place to rent. And of course, I ended up having to pay the movers more for the time wasted. Classic example of corporate greed. The employees at the front desk are nice and helpful but the actual corporation itself is a piece of shit :) read more

There is a man at the front desk who was extremely rude and openly racist during my visit. All I asked was what storage unit sizes were available, and instead of getting a simple answer, I was met with hostility and disrespect. Customer service should be basic and professional, especially for a straightforward question. The interaction was uncomfortable and completely unnecessary. On August 28 around 10:40 AM, I went to the Trojan storage office location in Glendale to do a refund on my lock and I went to talk to your worker to get a refund. I got referred to your company from our friend, so my boyfriend did the rent online and told me to go to the office to get a refund for the lock because we already had our own lock. However, the worker was very unprofessional and did not help me at all. He was raising his voice at me and acting childish. I hope you can take a look into it and improve your customer service. I have given a 5 star before because this location has been great until recently. I called the office today 8/16 to pay my balance and noticed it was higher than normal and asked for her to tell me why it was higher. Alexa who always seems like she doesn't want to be at work told me it was due to my 2 months and late fees. I said I knew I owed 2 months and that there were late fees but I always pay late and the number is higher than normal so if you're not willing to break down the fees then I will need you to send me something before I will pay it. Alexa hangs up the phone. I immediately called back and Monique answers. She was very polite and knew who I was without asking so its obvious that Alexa had informed her. After explaining how livid I was with Alexa's unprofessionalism I asked for their corporates info and a breakdown the cost due and Monique said I will email it to you. I called and left a message for the DM but it's sad that Alexa doesn't value the job she is blessed to have and thinks she can speak to customers anyway she wants and be disrespectful by hanging up. Why have a job in customer service if you don't like helping and provide service. I am beyond livid that she continues working there with such a nasty attitude! They require a 30day notice from their customers However DO NOT give the same in return to their clients. If you put in a notice half way in the month you will pay till the next month however will be asked to completely vacate by the 30th of the month loosing out on your rent payed. They will not prorate it So in other words you pay for service you are not using. One way street only benefiting the storage space. This is not how to run a business. Furthermore the employees I attempted speaking on both times were rude and dismissive gas lighting me and belittling my person while "acting" nice . read more

The staff here are super RUDE. The 2 big staff one male and one female sitting there and did not care about customers. The guy Jorge Gutierrez sat at his deck and did not care that customers were waiting. He just did his private things. I came there before 2 other customers but he served them first then letting me keep waiting when Jorge had nothing else to do. I reminded him that I already waited here for 20 mins and I had urgent things to do. Jorge yelled at me and told me to find another storage. Right after I stepped out of his office, Jorge shut down the door of his office like not want me to reenter. I felt shocked and never met any this kind of service. I guess their supervisor does not know what these people are doing. The storage still have customers is because of the location, quality of storage and the discount for the first of 2 months. I came in today to check on my unit and drop more stuff. It had been a while since I had been there. I've been sick while giving care to the sick. I forgot my password so I went to the office. We laughed about how long it had been. I told him a little bit about the sick stuff but just mentioned it as the reason why I hadn't been in. He brings me up on the computer and we both discover at the same time that the July rent was not paid. I told him I was surprised by that and asked about the credit card on file. I used another card and took care of it immediately... On the way to that this sales person DID EVERYTHING POSSIBLE TO MAKE ME FEEL LIKE A CRIMINAL. And after the transition was done, we went up to the unit to unlock it and he made a big show of taking an extra lock off, BECAUSE I WAS LATE. FYI: before we went up I let him know that I was very uncomfortable with his tone and manner of handling this with me especially since I had firstly told him that I had been sick, secondly , I had showed him that half of the communications that he claimed Trojan had done I had not received. I showed him my phone and I showed him my emails from Trojan. Nothing since until this morning at 9:00 a.m. about the lateness of the rent payment. And thirdly, his complete lack of interest in the possibility that his system MIGHT have a glitch. I decided to stop trying to communicate with him. I tried my best to go straight to customer service to handle this but they do not have a customer service phone number. That's right. They are fair to you for sure when you sign up, but when you need to "leave", they will do all they can to charge you for an extra month of the rent even if you cleared out everything on time, by telling you the word "contract" BS, even the insurance fee is charged when there is nothing left to insured for. read more

Serop in the office was extremely friendly and helpful in answering all of my questions effectively. I was able to sign up immediately and start moving my items over the same day. I don't normally leave many reviews but after a THIRD time having to tell the front office that there was a pile of trash and dirt in front of my unit for over a month, I just couldn't not. Not only is there dirt and trash, but there has also been moths on the third floor. I had to buy lavender bags and cedar wood to put in our unit because I was afraid my stuff would be ruined by all the moths. Love the location, but after they raised rent on us and the cleaning/moths hasn't gotten any better I'm frustrated enough to leave a review. The ladies that are working there are very nice and respectful. However the guy who works there is extremely rude. Previously I had 2 other storages with trojan storage in their other location and when my cousin asked me to get a unit for her, (to get their advertised 50 dollar promotion) he (trojan storage employee) called me lier and he refuse to do so!!! There was another incident when he refused to open the primary gate lock and made me wait for good 10-15 minutes and after that wait he finally did it because one of other staffs showed up. I took the day off, work to go get my stuff out of storage and move into my new apartment. I'm up-to-date on my payments as I paid them online and showed them the payment directly to them in the office. They told me that their computer reflected the payment being done I went there and my storage unit was electronically locked for no reason, the after hours phone number doesn't call back I took time off work to do this and can't understand why my stuff is being held hostage. Hopefully this can be resolved without attorneys being involved, but this is very disappointing. Staff also led me to believe that it was $89 for three continuous months so $89 for 90 days of storage not $89 a month for the first three months. read more
