I pay extra money to have a space in the main building. I have had storage in that building for…read moreover 10 years. In the last three years, the "A" building has started flooding. Last year I lost personal items, and furniture has been damaged. Not enough to claim insurance, but enough to ruin the legs of expensive furniture items. Paperwork that is irreplaceable was also ruined. And, I was one of the lucky ones, the unit next to mine was almost completely flooded. This year I asked whether the flooding issue had been addressed, since winter is coming, and I was assured that it was taken care of. Today I got a call, my unit is flooded AGAIN. They do not give a storage discount for the inconvenience, and last year they had no idea where the water was coming from. So, the office staff passed on the info that the issue had been addressed, and obviously the ownership has not done anything. The office staff is always polite and helpful, but the flooding issue is simply bad business, and the management ignores it.

For instance, the company failed to sign me up with auto payment via my credit card, then had the nerve to try and charge me a late fee when the bill wasn't paid. They even tried to charge me a lien fee. There were also times when the manager treated me very disrespectfully whenever called out for his mistakes, or another time when I simply reported that my classic car had been damaged wile on the property. Due to that fact, I reached out to supervisor, Ron Reed, and got nowhere. Then I communicated with the owner, Ben Wells, who had even less empathy for me. I discovered that the lack of accountability really truly started with the leadership. Despite my being a loyal customer for many years, Sun Valley Storage never made me feel like I was valued. I plan on leaving soon, and just wanted to share my experience. I am an Air Force veteran and this is my true and sworn testimony.

Wyman was disrespectful and discriminatory when we came to pay for a unit we reserved online. He also lied to us about the availability of units per their own website. Stating they were being fixed and couldn't provide us with an availability date. We were disrespectful or dressed down or anything. We simply were discriminated for whatever reason and they lost a for sure customer yesterday. I left feeling disrespected and disgusted with mamagements ability to properly staff and train their personnel with proper customer service skills and discrimination awareness. I got a unit across the street and another patron there told me they had similar dealings with this establishment. AVOID THIS DISGUSTING PLACE and find a place where the employees treat all customers properly. We visited the property at 1pm on 2/2/24.

She was very helpful, extremely friendly and answered all questions willingly. She showed us not only the storage unit we reserved, but other options incase we preferred them instead, which we did end up picking a different one out! Honestly, because of the bad reputation of this city, we weren't 100% sure if we wanted to store our stuff here, but Cryssi showed us how much they really do try to protect our stuff. The place is gated where you have to enter your code to come in. Your actual storage unit has an interior lock, and they have 5 cameras watching different angles. Already better than other storage units! Long story short, shehe made us feel very welcome here and I'm more than happy we found a place to store all our stuff know so our place isn't so crowded! :) Things to consider: This storage unit closes early at 6, and weekends at 5pm which is a lot earlier than others It's WAY cheaper than pretty much any other Public Storage in the valley
